Is there any species of giant timber bamboo that is more cold hardy than moso?
So I was thinking m giant bamboo sounds really cool to own, but how would you cut down that leaning cane without crushing anything? Would you need to hire a tree service?

Giant Timber Bamboo questions
We have about 2 and a half acres and would love to do giant timber bamboo along the borders of the property. Much of what I am reading suggests it is clumping and to plant them 5 feet apart. My questions are:
I know clumping bamboo spreads some just not as much does it have a limit to its spread or will it spread forever and it is just easier to cut back?
If it does have a spread limit and we plant them 5 feet apart does that mean the typical limit is in the 2.5 spread range?
What distance from my neighbors property line should I plant to give it a nice space to spread but not encroach on their property?
Any advice is appreciated.

The giant panda's temporomandibular joint and premolar teeth have evolved to allow sideways movement of the lower jaw typical for herbivores. This has enabled the adaptation to bamboo diet. iirc the soda bottles were lined across the top and the sun would heat the water inside causing them to expand and pump pressure into the bamboo which allowed it to move/walk.
