A list of puns related to "Payroll Check"
Did something happen back in November? The code on the check is HP382FAM, but I have no idea what that is.
I was a rural carrier, if that makes any difference.
Is it possible a route I was on was adjusted and I was getting retroactive pay?
I've never requested a paystub, but a coworker was venting to be about wanting a paystub without having to ask like a beggar. I can't find the correct code though. I don't mind calling out bad behavior here because employer needs me more than I need them.
I hate when employers say one thing, we agree, and they do another. Not cool, I quit over shit like this.
This week, we at the Flatwater Free Press launched something we've been cooking up for quite a while. Our public payroll project is a partnership between us, the Platte Institute, and Code for Nebraska to make state salaries -- a major line item in Nebraska's budget -- easily navigable and contextualized. This kind of information is a basic building block for any newsroom worth its salt. We wanted to make that available to everyone.
Already, we've had tons of excellent feedback. Some employee union leaders have suggested comparing these costs to some other areas of growth in state spending. Astute readers pointed out long-time employees with stories to tell, and potential differences in pay that have little to do with experience. A few people have learned of areas in the state's infrastructure they didn't even know existed. We can't wait to dive into all of that.
We're looking to do more work like this, making the raw materials of news available to as broad an audience as possible. We plan to grow this effort to include other types of government entities across the state, and add further components of pay (overtime, etc). We're also actively looking for someone to sponsor a similar database for campaign finance.
Mods, you know I'm a reddit newb. I figured this would be interesting to folks here, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. Let me know if this is too self promotional and I'll go hang my head in shame!
I don't really know where else to turn for this exactly, the answers given so far have made no sense. To start this off, I am a part of the ASU college benefits. As everyone who is a part of this might remember, we got an email saying the December 17th and 31st paychecks were going to be taxed. I assume the "Payroll Misc Offset" was a part of that. It ended up being on the December 17th check but not on the 31st.
I recently started working for a company where I earn a percentage of collection fees I earn for the company. I was offered to be paid by check at 90% of my collection fees, or by payroll direct deposit at 85% of collection fees. I believe taxes will automatically be deducted through the payroll option. With the check option, it will be up to me to report/deduct appropriate taxes. Anyone have advice on which option is better for me? Thanks !
Hey guys,
UPDATE: Iβm keeping the job with no complaints. Just gonna keep myself occupied. Itβs not a big deal, I just didnβt seen the point since church is closed and no kids are there to babysit.
So I am a sitter who is contracted out by an agency to babysit when I am available. I am considered self employed and make my own hours. I just pay an agency fee.
Through the agency, whenever we book jobs we have a minimum 4 hour payment rate. So even if we are hired for one hour, we are to be payed by the parents or whoever hires us as if we work 4 hours. I recently got a gig to babysit every Sunday at a large church from 10am - 2pm at their daycare. Children are in the day care is from 11-12:30. So from 10-11 I sit around and 11-12:30 I babysit. After 12:30 the children leave. Church is over and then the church is empty besides the finance department. They have me sit in an empty church until 2 because they feel like I was hired for 4 hours so I should wait around until 2pm. I think that is ridiculous.
Today no children came into the day care. It is now 12:15 and no kids are coming. I have to wait around doing nothing until 2. The job is over. Should I complain about this to the sitting agency?
As the title states, I received a payslip and a payroll check from a former employer (a bank) via snail mail. Considering I last worked for this bank 4 years ago, this was unexpected. I was a standard W2 employee and this is a company I had given my 2 weeks notice. Pretty much a cookie-cutter separation "I found another job so here's my 2 weeks notice".
The payslip looks like the ones I used to get when I was working there, and the payroll check itself seems legitimate as it has all of the usual security features (heat-sensitive ink, microprint, watermarks, etc.). The pay type only states "Pay adjustment" and shows I have a few hours remaining for "sick time".
I've messaged my old company via their online banking portal as I'm thinking this is an error, and I'm uncomfortable with cashing the check, but it's an odd one considering I've been off their payroll for 4 years - I find it unlikely that I would suddenly go back on their payroll for some random "pay adjustment" 4 years later.
Other than an error, could this possibly be a scam of sorts? Identity theft? Anything I should be concerned about? Should I cash the check?
Edit: added some stuff about whether I should cash the check?
So last pay period I was shorted 12 hours of PTO because they forgot to put it in, this week they paid me my PTO and just my PTO, and they paid it out at the wrong rate, itβs $18/hr LESS than i what Iβm supposed to get! I was supposed to have 36 hours + 12hrs PTO, on top of my weekly stipend. This week I didnβt get anything, my card got declined for the first time in my life and Iβm late on rent!
My manager is pissed too and weβre both about to quit.
I get paid every Friday, they said on Friday evening that theyβll pay me on Monday, my parents said thatβs wrong and they have 48hrs to pay me.
What sort of legal actions do I have here?
Iβm a contractor in healthcare, I love the faculty I work at but the travel company that actually pays me is troublesome.
ETA: Iβm currently working in MD, my permanent tax address is in CA, and my company head quarters is in TX.
Shits confusing.
So i quit a job around 3 months ago at fed ex and recently checked my adp to see i have two unclaimef checks that were date to two months after i quit. The check date and payroll date were all the same date
My question is are these valid checks? I think their vacaciones time cashouts idk. Im moreso concerned about the check date anf payroll date being the same 3 dates.
I am planning to call payroll and have them sent over but just wanna make sure.

Hello,
I have a couple issues here but the main issue is. I have a payroll check in QBO for $424.00 and the check came through the bank feeds for $224 (the check was written for that amount, I know this is an issue) so I was going to match the payroll check to this check and make an adjustment to make them match. But when I click βmatch transactions,β the payroll check is not an option to click on.
But when I click on a different check and choose βmatch transactions,β the payroll check is an option to select.
Why is that? How can fix it?
I work for a Spanish company and want my last monthβs Payroll checked independently. Especially the part βII. Determinacion de las bases de cotizacion al Reg. de la Seg. Socialβ and βIII. Deduccionesβ.
Who in Barcelona or Spain in does this freelance? Is there a freelance marketplace for Spain? Is this something a law firm does? If so, what to look for, whatβs this area of expertise called?
havent gotten a certain for three months my personal hr is doing nothing about it who can i call im very frustrated
I tried cashing my payroll check today at walmart but it was declined because when they ran my social security number somehow my wife name was showing up not my name. Does about know why his is happening
I recently transferred from one federal agency to another. I ended up with a $1500 paper payroll check as first check at new agency because they hadnβt updated my direct deposit in a timely manner. I deposited it on mobile on Thursday and it gave me message that funds were available immediately.
On Sunday, they flagged it for fraud and put an extended hold on it. At this point I have been without a paycheck for nearly a month and they tell me it may be up to 16 more days. Hold times are 3+ hours to call customer service. Chat conversation didnβt leave me with a warm fuzzy. I tweeted them and their response was that I should use direct deposit. They donβt care that their baseless fraud claim will screw up all my monthly bills and cost up to a couple hundred in NSF fees.
Anyone else get this kind of stellar service from USAA? Moving all of my accounts to Navy Federal. At least they have a local branch.
I've tried calling them several times and no answer. If I drove I wouldn't need to make this post. Just got out of work about 20 min ago and they're the closest I can think of to me besides wal mart and I'd rather avoid going to Walmart if I can lol
Received an offer in NYC and wanted to check out the #'s behind it, as well as get a general budget check for a 26 year old
No car, company paid phone bill. I max out my 401k, HSA and Roth. No debt. No car or parking. Any extra cash leftover at month end is deposited into a brokerage or savings
EDITED for formatting & additional line items.
I work for a small company in the USA. I do the payroll. We have an employee in another office. The boss goes to that office a couple of times a week. I send the paycheck with the boss so that the employee gets it by the due date. On a recent pay period I sent the check dated and due on the first and it was cashed on the 31st of the month before it was due.
My payroll tax is due monthly. Which month should the taxes on the check cashed early be paid? Do I pay the taxes based on what the check is dated or when it was cashed.
So frustrating to work with people that don't think or care about the extra work and stress they cause.
TIA
