A list of puns related to "Convertible Security"
Itβs been 22 days since Bloomberg published SEC Chief to Wall Street: The Everything Crackdown Is Coming which mentioned the SEC having indicated a Short Sale Disclosure rule that, with encouragement from Congress, could be proposed by November 2021. I pointed this out two weeks ago in my post GameStop and H.R. 4618 - Short Sale Transparency and Market Fairness Act: Part 1 that discussed:
So after a brief Squid Game break Iβm back to make good on the conclusion from my previous post that suggested Iβd be following up with more to say on the topic of H.R. 4618. This post will be picking up on previously discussed topics but this time, thanks to newish data from the SECβs report on market volatility, with greater emphasis on how securities lending and confidential disclosures tie into some other trading strategies that cast further doubt on the narrative Retail Investors perpetrated some kind of market event or are in any way responsible for market volatility as portrayed by everyday news.
This post is part 1/2 that will expand upon these topics, enjoy!
My last post described how the lending of fully paid securities mightβve provided a financial incentive for brokerages to have turned off the buy button back in January. In this chapter I will be talking about Securities Lending in conjunction with Short Selling specifically, given how the two practices seem mutually dependent:
> βSecurities lending is important to short selling, in which an investor borrows securities to immediately sell them. The borrower hopes to profit by selling the security and buying it back later at a lower price.β - Investopedia - February 24, 2021
So, which equity generated the most securities lending revenue in January 2021 you might ask?
Well that, of course, would be GameStop at $41.3mil in revenue duri
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi all, last week, mine and my buddieβs 1995 Mustang Convertible was broke into and had the whole center console stolen, had a nice sound system and central deck too.. The thief got in the car without tripping the Ford alarm system by cutting into the vert.. My question is, is there any security systems that you may recommend for this exact situation with sensors inside the car that could detect movement or tampering once armed? Iβm also worried about post installation, that i might see increased parasitic draw from the security system, if thatβs the case, would it be recommend buying a battery with more CCA to prevent a dead battery? It isnβt a daily and itβs stored under a cover in normal circumstances. (it was in near showroom condition with only 54k miles on the original 302 motor)
I appreciate any insight on this. Budget isnβt really a concern, itβs worth a billion dollars if i can have the piece of mind that itβll panic if someone tried to do this again.
Also, the car already has one of this start-prevent chips installed by the previous owner, so that is good.
So here is the gist : I have about 7.1K in my acorns account that is set to aggressive. I am 31 years old, saving for a house or lord help me a ring. I am contemplating moving that money from acorns over to the Fidelity FCVSX fun. In hope that it will grow quicker over time, but I am also well aware that the markets could do anything (nothing to drastic) during the election. Just looking to protect my hard earned savings.
which do you think is the safer bet, or do you have any other recommendations.
Cheers
I really do not feel that I have enough invested in cryptocurrency to justify buying a hardware wallet but I do have a few USB drives that I wouldn't mind converting into a secure wallet to secure the bit of cryptocurrency I now have with Coinbase. In the future I am considering selling some personal belongings and offering the purchaser(s) the option of paying with crypto so if my crypto balance can go up I would prefer cold storage. I understand there are programs you can download to your PC and use to convert the USB to a secure wallet but I first wanted to get a consensus of this group first of which program or methodology to use to accomplish my goal. Plus, it'll be fun to learn about this area of knowledge. Thanks for any and all input.
I watched this movie a long time ago, more than 20 years ago, it's probably not a great movie, but it's been bugging me that i can't identify it for a long time, so would be great to find even if it turns out to not be very good. It's probably fairly family friendly because i was in my early teens if not younger when shown it to me by parents and it would have been on tv/video.
The beginning opens with a robbery of a security van, from what i remember it's set in the 70s/80s, the van is stopped and the windows sprayed over with spray paint, but I can't remember what is stolen.
Most of the film follows two brothers and their younger sister in a car "rally/race", to begin with the younger sister isn't allowed to go but persuades the parents and away the 3 of them go. They are in a morgan or similar style convertible car and following some kind of time trial/rally type route.
For some reason the thieves end up pursuing them, possibly because they've hidden what they stole in the car (but i'm not 100% on this part), during the movie they start off in good weather with the roof down but as the film goes on there is a period where they are driving through heavy rain/storm and they need to put the roof up.
I know this isn't much to go on, and i'll add any other details i remember but it's been driving me nuts for months if not years to know what it is so any help will be greatly appreciated.
edit: having given it some more thought i'm 90% sure it was set in england, although it was a morgan style car, it might not have been, but it was that style with the long bonnet and soft roof.
Furthermore, $CWB is CF @ Schwab. Here is an article that discusses the virtues of convertible securities etf - https://www.invesco.com/pdf/CSECIRE-FLY-1.pdf would like to know if anyone has advice on this. Thanks.
So, Cat Security makes catalytic converter shields for many car makes and models to help protect against cat converter theft, but they donβt make one for the RAV4. They do however make one for the Sequoia, which is crazy when you consider that this year, in the US alone, Toyota sold on average ~35,000 new RAV4s per month, and only ~700 Sequoias. Thatβs 50:1.
I just find it crazy that they donβt want to cash in on that huge RAV4 market.
That said, Cat Security has a request form where you can ask for other makes and models to be produced, so they can gauge interest.
Thereβs 22.2K subscribers in this sub; please consider filling out their form to ask for a RAV4 shield if youβd be interested in one β it could go a long way towards them recognizing the demand, and even making them.
