I am only having a bit of fun really, although maybe some truth to it. Personally I am often surprised at what people feel they need to talk about and express. I was talking to a very emotional Cancerian woman recently, and I was interested not so much in what she was talking about as that to me was quite boring, but more about the emotional and drama component to it. I don't say this as a put down, i had never heard anyone talk so much about things i either wouldn't give the time of day or would just process in my own mind and not make it a topic for discussion.
Again for me, I am open to discuss peoples issues but if it turns into something that is a venting whinge session i am not interested, i prefer solutions and moving forward.
I find the depth of some peoples emotions also fascinating to me as i just don't quite get why people get so involved in them and perpetuating their own suffering by dwelling in them.
Do other Aquarians relate?
Aquarius is an air sign because it deals with ideas, information, thinking. And with the sharing of ideas and information with others, with the "group". As for the water bearer, that represents, is a symbol for, the pouring out of knowledge and information to others. In ancient times, people met at the well. That's where information about the village, about life, etc., was shared. A cup, or a vessel is a container, holding something which is given out to others. (There is also an entirely internal process like this with Aquarius.) As with every sign, there is much more to it, but that's the short answer.
Ok, so I was over in /r/ZodiacArt, and I remembered something stupid from my childhood. Both my mom and I are into mystical things. I'm more into Wicca, she's more into Astrology. But like, a lot. Her entire world view is founded on what people "should" be like based on when they were born, and then if they're not like that, she disregards it because they're just hiding their true self.
Anyway. One day she's reading this book called, like, Dark Side of the Zodiac or something. It's supposed to be a funny book about the negative aspects of your Sign. But she looks up at me and says:
>You know what TarnishedTeal, you're an Aquarius, the water bearer. I'm a Pisces, the fish, which means I'm in the water. Which means that you're responsible for supporting me. It's right here, Aquarius supports the water types, so you should try to support me more. I really feel like you don't do your part.
And I'm just like wat. I had no answer for her then, I have no answer for her now. Like, be responsible for yourself, woman. Jeez. I started getting into my own metaphysical stuff after that, in hopes of finding something to fight back with. Instead I found a deep, rich theology that helps me deal with the straight up psycho I grew up with. You can't win with an N, you can't outreason an N, but you can protect and shield yourself, which is what I did before going NC. I still hold onto those things, but lately I've become more and more Atheist since I don't quite need the Wicca security blanket.
But yeah. I thought you guys might get a kick out of that.
