A list of puns related to "Skim Over"
I know this might be self evident to some of you.
But don't skim over grammar. I know immersion is good, great even, learned a ton of vocab this way.
I have no idea what jlpt level I am, I am decent enough to be able to read VNs at a comfortable pace (even though I gotta admit that textractor and yomichan makes this fairly easy). Still because of how pleasurable reading VNs was, and how I was able to read manga like Demon Slayer, who usually only stumped me with vocab stuff (easily solvable with OCR) I assumed I had at least intermediate level of Japanese.
Today I watched a mock test of JLPT 5, and while most of it was fairly easy I was surprised to encounter points I had never encountered before (Stuff like telling time outside of just minutes) or to realize weaknesses in areas (verb conjugation for example) I thought I was at least okay.
Hope this serves to someone, and yeah back to studying.
First one that comes to mind is Reincarnation of The Strongest Sword God. I canβt count on all my fingers and toes the amount of times the author as repeated the same fcking formula. It baffles me how that shit is consistently ranked so high on Webnovel. I plan on finishing it because I already invested so much time into it but I gotta skim over it because if I have to read words/phrases like experts, peak experts, upstart guild, no background, super guild, even super powers, lacking foundation, underestimated, how can this be possible, why wouldnβt he be surprised, youβll regret this, their surely finished, is this his true strength?, as Zero Wing been hiding its strength this whole time?, is Black Flame an NPC, he canβt be a player, heβs a monster, Black Flame is truly arrogant, does he not wish to live?, die of shock, the game must be lying, letβs see if the rumors are true Black Flames, the rumors were trues, everyone was silent, and heβs only one person I will lose my fcking mind. It wouldnβt even matter if I skipped 300 chapters because I literally know what every single character will say and do before the characters themselves know.
I've already started peeling/scrapping wallpaper but there is still a thin film of glue that isn't coming off completely. Can I just skim coat over it or do I need to roll on something else first to cover the glue?

We all know Binance banned U.S. accounts some months ago from trading but allowed those customers to withdraw their assets from the exchange. I joined Binance back in August of 2017, one of the initial batch of customers, over the years I accumulated a great number of alt coins and tokens, mainly due to bot trading, When Binance suddenly froze out U.S. customers I had nothing to do but transfer all I had to other exchanges and wallets. Easier said than done, finally I ended up with just over $1100 value I could not remove for various reasons, the NANO for instance had a withdraw restriction on Binance that lasted months. I had some STRAX, SKY, YOYOS some other that I was having issues getting off the exchange. So I sort of gave up for a while and determined I would wait until they lifted the restriction on NANO.
Well I logged back in recently to remove everything, only to discover I could not get past the puzzle, it would now just say US and dump back to log in. So I contacted customer service, who allowed me to log in only to find out my account had been restricted and flagged, I could not withdraw. So customer service chat told me I need to to prove my identity and provide the following:
>"hello sir upon checking your account withdrawal function was disabled by risk control in order to lift the restrictions kindly send us the following here on chat Please provide us with the following information for the account verification :
>
>Security questions (Optional): Account registration date Account registration IP a copy of your ID document front and back Device information (at minimum operating system version, brand, model, and browser name/version) regarding at least one device that is commonly used on the account Statement video*: Please record a video, where you need to appear in the video and hold the information page of your ID document and repeat clearly the following sentence: βToday is the year/month/day, my account is applying for withdrawal of XXX coins with XXX amount. I confirm that it is my own operation. I am contacting Binance CS to resume the withdrawal function of my Binance account xxx@xxx.com.β

>Thank you for your understanding and looking forward to your reply."

Platform: PC
Genre: Space game from the 90s
Estimated Year: Early to mid 90s I think
Graphics/art style: First person flight controls of a spaceship (a bit similar to Privateer)
Notable Characters: I don't recall any specific characters
Notable gameplay mechanics: What I remember best is there was a mechanic that you would drop down to a planet and fly a shuttle along the surface and look for things. When you found something, an arm with a big vacuum would pop out front of your viewscreen and suck it up...I think you'd find alien lifeforms or various supplies/elements.
Other details: That skimming mechanic is all I remember...I've looked at screenshots of hundreds of PC games from the 90s and haven't been able to find it.

I finished my 1st skim coat and sand. I kept it thin and filled in the crevices of the knock down texture.

The beige is the skim coat joint compound and the white is the previous paint. Should I fully cover the white in my next coat?
First time skim coating, so appreciate any help!
This is a short but sweet one, my parents just told me this and I just HAD to share it.
my mother wanted to get a much bigger aquarium than the one we currently have, so she decided to browse around the internet for something she likes, eventually she struck a deal earlier today with a guy for a big aquarium including some more stuff totaling at about 1000 Israeli shekels (little more than 300 USD). Anyway her and my dad went all the way there and this mf decided to try and squeeze my parents out of some more money and asked for 150 shekels more since "It's a newer model than discussed". My parents just turned away and went back home.
I always see posts around reddit (especially in r/ChoosingBeggars ) about people trying to pay less than what they ask for, but I never expected someone to OVERCHARGE after they agree on a deal, now that I think of it it seems kind of obvious unfortunately
Anyway that's pretty much it, my mom said she'd try looking again tomorrow, hope she'll find something she likes. Have a good one!
I was trying to find out how to make a filing cabinet, saw that the recipe needs a shulker chest, proceeded to make 50 shulker seeds, start planting the seeds and killing shulkers for the hard stuff, didn't know how to make a shulker chest so check the cabinet recipe and saw that you can use an ordinary chest.
So I wasted other resources and time for something that would've taken 5 secs.
In other words, check the recipes properly.
Also how on earth do you do hairpins? I just c a n ' t. I play G29 no shifter

Have read through a number of threads and binged a lot of Vancouver Carpenter in preparation to skim coat our entire home.
Current process has been:
(1) TSP, water, dry (2) Prime w/ Zinsser 1-2-3 (3) Skim, knife, repeat (current stage) (4) Wet sand (5) Prime (6) Paint
May be overkill, and is taking forever because work and parenting priorities and the learning curve. Having the right tools definitely helps.
Where I'm feeling a bit conflicted is should I be putting enough joint compound on the initial coat to cover the texture or just simply fill the texture and plan on continuously adding until desired feel and appearance is achieved?
I find that it definitely is faster to go with thin coats but I feel like I'll end up having to do 3+ coats. However, starting with a thick coat that covers the texture can be a bit more difficult to get layered evenly and smoothly.
Also, what trowel do people prefer? I mistakenly started with a curved trowel, moved over to a straight trowel but it's pretty stiff. Pool towels look like they would give the flex I'm looking for and reduce lines because of the rounded edge
My confidence in this Dev Team has only grown stronger in these very few months. I'm still very solid around SafeMoonMark's technical analysis, among other positive rationales. I see many reasons to believe this project will age well. Sure, BIT/ALT-COIN have seasons, as this winter has reminded us, but this winter appears shorter and less severe than the previous. What previously lasted years is now appearing to transpire in mere months. The message I'm receiving is that crypto is here to stay. Ostensibly, because blockchain usage is finally beginning to shift paradigms. The "generational wealth" opportunity is clearly available to anyone paying attention. I'm holding a diverse bag of many billion-tokens; those I believe in. The key to enjoying the ride is diversification. SafeMoon will most assuredly remain in my bag until the conclusion of this wager. This bet has no DUE DATE. Certainly, nothing has happened yet to dissuade me of my confidence in this project. Yup, my appreciation for this development team has only grown stronger in these short few months. And now, I've almost reached the prescribed target mentioned in SafeMoonMark's TA. I've really enjoyed recording the reflections in my ledger. I certainly plan to be here to see what happens. And I'll simply continue to skim over the Non-TA comments of the anxious paper-handed that appear to have gambled their rent money. That can't be an enjoyable ride. (Not investment advice)
