I was staying in Italy next to the adriatic sea and noticed this bird. I always heard it at night, and it had such a unique sound, like a sonar on a submarine. My family and I are about to take a vacation for the first time post-COVID at Pine Knoll Shores, but neither one of us have been there before. What are some things to do in this area or in the surrounding areas like Atlantic Beach or Emerald Isle? We are planning on heading down Aug 5 and coming back Aug 8, so that only gives us two full days to do things
