A list of puns related to "Giri"
I've heard this discussed a lot on chess podcasts and I've seen the topic in articles. I'm interested to hear the thoughts of this community. I was just at a Candidates tournament and there were 8 or 9 players and only 1 was a Giri. It seemed to be that Giri was also the only Anish person.
There are all kinds of initiatives to get Giris into chess but maybe Giris are just less likely to want to play chess? My kids go to a school with chess as an elective and not a single Giri chose to be in chess. No one from the nearby Anish community either. That has to tell you a lot. Of course I could be wrong but sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one.
He says Kasparov singled out Kramnik as his next Challenger/serious threat to the crown, much like how Magnus did Alireza, and that he's sort of willing it into reality. Kramnik ended up defeating a heavily favored Kasparov when they met in the World Chess Championship 2000. Giri attributes this to Kasparov hyping Kramnik up in his head, and also Kramnik gaining confidence from this. Pretty cool insight/take on this situation.
Did he give an interview explaining his reasoning?
I mean 5 other players were tied with him in the first place, the odds of someone winning were huge, so getting a quick tie would only guarantee he wouldn't play to win the Championship, not only didn't make sense but was also pretty frustrating.
It looked similar to Fabi accepting the draw against Nepo in Rapid, but at least, from what I heard, it was because he didn't know the rules and thought he would play the playoffs with everyone with the same points.
No he can't!!
Eventualmente andrebbe riparato subito?

I love this guy. Do any of you know him?

All of his videos are 2015, however, I have received communication with him.
A Columbia University SEAS Graduate Student was stabbed in the abdomen at night hours. Sending prayers and strength to him and his family. RIP Davide Giri

That bashing not only sobered down Pratik's Pratik-giri. But also brought down the whole show. Yes, he should have been condemned for the lock and changing incident and even the glass breaking one. But the way he was bashed, insulted and abused right in the first WKW has certainly had an affect. After that, Pratik went on a different tangent.
BB makers literally got scared that amongst the Karans, Jays, Shamitas and Tejaswis. One guy hogged all the limelight in the first week and he was even garnering support. If Pratik had continued to be in that zone (minus the aforementioned incidents) the creatives could've atleast tried to paint someone as the clear villain. But they were too scared that he was overshadowing their favorites.
