A list of puns related to "Fol"
Everything about it is nothing short of spectacular. The concept, the songs, the vibe, just all comes together and meshes so nicely.
The funky, groovy beats with a little r&b vibeβ¦I think Twice found their sound.
Songs like Last Waltz and Espesso couldβve easily been title tracks and I know one of the songs gets a lot of flak, but I think their OT3 songs were all well executed. Especially Push & Pull. That song might just be my favorite from the whole project.
Not to mention, the added bonus of them having not one, but FOUR English tracks, just makes the album more enjoyable as an English listener.
I know itβs not even been 2 months since it dropped, but I find myself coming back to the album almost on a daily.
Also I am a biased once but I still stand by my opinion LMAO
Help!
I need to come up with some Masquerade breaching items a Prince might have in storage? What would be your suggestions as I'm at a loss.
I'm writing this in a "91 points on metacritic high", and I'm not a native speaker, so, sorry for any mistakes.
After the release of FOL, I've seen a lot of people saying that Scientist wasn't a good song for a title track, and while I don't agree with this, I've been obsessed with this song since the first time I heard it, I can understand why some people don't like it.
This isn't a about defending the quality of the song, in the end I can't simply change others opinion. This is about defending it as a title track.
After reading some of the critics, almost crying because I was so proud of my girls, I kinda came to a conclusion. Scientist was a conclusion to all that Twice has been saying through out their career.
Starting by describing the feeling of excitement of the first love in Like Ooh Ahh, to the curiosity about true love in What's Is Love, to the sadness in Cry For Me. Through it all, Twice has talking and being curious about love, how it feels, to hating it and loving it.
And Scientist is a summary of it. It explains love as something that doesn't have a formula, something that is not hard. Because, in the end, love is love, and that's what matters.
Again, I didn't come here to tell people to like the song, I came here to explain why I think it was the most suitable song of the tracklist to be the title track.
I think this is an unpopular opinion because I've seen a lot of bashing on the quality of the song as a title track and talking about how other songs in the album should be the title track.
Sorry for any mistakes, if anybody finds any just tell me so I can edit it.
(This is also my first time tagging something in this community, so I probably did it wrong lol. So, just tell me if I should change it)
Can someone explain how the book proves this FOL statement is valid
I don't understand it as written.
I know they are using the fact True -> True is True and assuming the hypothesis is true to prove the conclusion is true, but I don't understand the rest.
Edit:
is it true because
it assumes ExVy P(x,y) is true.
then it says there is a specific x such that P(x,y), call it d0
so now you can rewrite VyEx P(x,y) as Vy P(d0,y)
and in the Vy P(d0,y) part you know from the hypothesis that any y works, so you end up with P(d0,d)
which is the same proposition as the one in the hypothesis and since we assume itβs true, we have itβs true for the conclusion as well
(ie we now have P(d0,d) implies P(d0,d) and we assume P(d0,d) is true from the hypothesis which we obtained from the substitutions we made, so we end up a with True implies True statement, which is True).
and in english itβs true because itβs saying
you assume ExVy is true so you have a fixed x thatβs true for all y
which also means for all y there is that fixed x
is that it?
Do you think they will be putting out the fol monograph anytime soon?
About 4 hours into Fall of Light and I'm struggling a bit. The language Erickson has used in this is just so floral I keep finding myself switching off. Really enjoying the padding of the Tiste backstory and such but I dont recall ever feeling this way during book of the fallen. It all seems a bit clunky. Anyone else feel the same?
Sorry for any formatting errors, I am on mobile & I apologize for the length of this post. Also Iβm leaving The Feels & the remix out of the ranking.
I personally think FOL is their best album to date and might even surpass EWO for me. The last few years have come with great releases by TWICE and their b-sides, let alone the title tracks, have been absolutely phenomenal. I think TWICE is on their A-game and can only keep getting better. I kind of like how theyβve settled for some groovy sounds in their b-sides as I feel their voices really suit the concept. I also love how theyβve tried some new genres and expanded upon things theyβve done in the past. I also thinks itβs remarkable how much theyβve been involved with writing tracks in recent albums, itβs great to see. Anywaysβ¦ on to the ranking!
1. Cruel I think this is a great song to start of with in my ranking. It has wonderful falsetto and such a groovy sound. I personally love the instrumental break and it works as such a chill yet also dance-time song. I also think the meaning behind the song is quite good.
2. Moonlight Before getting into this release, I honestly didnβt think there would be so many more English songs! This song is so fucking catchy and has such a good summer evening vibe. This would be a good song to play when driving for a nice evening ride. The chorus is wonderful and is a great new addition to TWICEβs english tracks after The Feels (& What You Waiting For).
3. 1,3,2 (Jeongyeon, Mina, Tzuyu) The first sub-unit song to appear on my ranking.. and for good reason in my opinion. This trio have great voices that blend so well together for a song featuring only 3 members. Iβm so glad they chose them and chose to do subunit songs for this album. This song has a somewhat sexy vibe and itβs also kind of mysterious for me and gives me Hell In Heaven vibes. A great one! I also really love Jeongyeon & Minaβs rap part.
4. F.I.L.A (Fall In Love Again) This is a wonderful song and I truly thank Nayeon for writing it.. and with a predominantly English chorus!! It is so groovy and fun to listen to. The beginning reminds me of one of Dua Lipaβs songs, βLove Againβ as both have a violin sounding intro!
5. Cactus Rip Ang π΅ you will be missed. Bless God Jihyo for writing and composing this track! It is so beautiful and powerful. TWICE can really do ballads tbh. This song is emotional and quite funny knowing the meaning & reasoning behind it. I think my

If anybody is 429 FOL in curaçao I regret not buying a patch and coin a few years back. If anyone would be willing to send me a coin and patch, I have some moneys.
So because I'm something of a scientist myself and tend to write too much, I decided to split my Formula Of Love review into two parts. In the first one I talked about how I feel FOL compares to Eyes Wide Open and some minor issues I have with FOL even though I think the majority of the songs are very good. This second part is just gonna be my general thoughts on each of the songs. There are a lot of them so obviously this is gonna be long again, but whatever, lol. Anyway:
Scientist β I must say this song has grown on me. When Scientist first came out I was honestly quite disappointed. It wasn't what I was expecting. It's rather cute and bright despite Mina's sultry vocals and the dark-sounding instrumental. It's also not very energetic and never really moves up a gear; it stays at the same intensity pretty much the whole time, even when the chorus arrives there's no big beat drop or anything. That chorus however is extremely catchy and the more I've listened, the more I've come to enjoy it once my initial disappointment subsided. Nevertheless, since TWICE always seem to go all out with their full albums, and with this being a new genre and a unique concept, for this to be the title track of a full album? I expected more. This song is a bit like Signal for me, it's catchy and it's grown on me, but I still don't rate it too highly. (6/10)
Moonlight β My favourite song on the album and also the longest. This is a bright, peppy, feel-good song, I love how romantic the lyrics are and that chorus is impossible not to dance to. Mina singing so passionately was simply gorgeous and the highlight of the song for me. Also, how often do we get Momo singing the chorus?! And she sounds fantastic! I was astounded by how well-written the lyrics were for the English songs on this album, particularly Moonlight, and TWICE's delivery of them was crystal clear. They sang so well in English it's unbelievable none of them are fluent. I wasn't aware Moonlight and Icon were gonna be all English, so I was triply surprised when I found that they were, that the lyrics were well-written and that TWICE's delivery of them was so good and I think this surprise greatly enhanced my enjoyment. I would never have expected my favourite song on a TWICE album to be in English, yet here we are. For me this is not only the best English language K-pop song I've ever h

I get the idea of masks for Halloween but a major issue that I haven't seen brought up is that we are unable to use exotic helmets in any activity if we want to get candy. I don't really know if anyone is seeing this as a big issue but it kinda sucks not being able to rock the many great exotic helms in playlists
I did a very long review of Perfect World a while back, so I'll try and make this briefer, lol. All in all, FOL is an excellent album. I have nothing but respect for artists who keep challenging themselves and trying new things, and TWICE have done this in several ways in FOL, through their continued vocal development, exploring new genres, English language songs, their subunits and in Jihyo's case, song composition.
But how does FOL compare to the Eyes Wide Open album, which I consider TWICE's greatest masterpiece? I'm not sure it's quite there, but time will tell, since I wasn't originally sure I could declare EWO as better than Twicetagram. I think although the songs on FOL are all of very high quality, they're overall less distinctive than those from EWO, where each song is markedly different from the one that comes before and after it. FOL does explore multiple genres and I don't want to say the songs are "samey", but there is a large chunk of the album with a similar kind of retro, swaggery dance-pop vibe. Nevertheless, the songs are all good enough that it doesn't have a negative impact. I also feel EWO is deeper in terms of emotional expression.
I find the structure of FOL is also wanting. I'm not sure Scientist is a great song to start the album with. It's not particularly powerful and doesn't really prepare you for the general tone of the subsequent tracks. Icon through to Espresso all have a similar kind of heavy, mature, moody yet cool vibe, which is fine but to me feels like a bit too long in the same soundworld and could maybe have done with something a bit more different in the middle to break things up. The transition from the subunit songs to the cutesy Candy doesn't quite feel right. Then neither The Feels nor the Scientist remix are really suitable songs to end the album on a powerful note, which has been a recurring feature in TWICE's albums.
I get that many onces probably just listen on shuffle or have their favourites on repeat, so none of this will matter to them, but for me the order is very important. My listening experience is influenced just as much by how the songs are placed in relation to each other as it is by the songs themselves. In contrast to EWO, which I couldn't bring myself to alter the order of, I've been thinking about how I might rearrange FOL. I'll post a separate thread on this topic later.
