A list of puns related to "Carriage House"
English is not my first language so forgive me for any mistakes. This just happened.
Honestly this might not even be paranormal but I'm feeling really weird about it. I live in south america and around 00:30 my dog starts barking and I hear a noise that seemed like a horse walking. I don't live in a big city but horses in the street are very rare to be seen. I got up and looked outside and after a few seconds I saw a carriage(That's the best way I can explain, it was like a carriage opened on the sides and with a roof on top) with around 6 people inside. They were all dressed with clothes that seemed to belong in the 17th century and I couldn't see the horse even though could hear it. It seemed like the carriage was driving itself. I still can't believe what I saw but the street wasn't dark or anything. I thought I might be dreaming or something but my mother woke up when I was by the door telling me she was feeling a strong smell of smoke and was hearing a noise that seemed to be a horse. I told her what happened and here's the weird part: I live in a dead end street, so there's only so much you can drive/walk. We waited a few minutes to see if they were coming back because we kept hearing the horse sound but they never did. My dogs and other dogs around kept barking at the nothing for a long time after they didn't return.
There are a few other houses in the street and we know all the neighbors, so it seems very unlikely to be one of them.
My parents and I have been discussing the idea of building a small home on the back of their property. It sits inside city limits with a regular sized home sitting on the front of the property. I have been searching Abbotsford bylaws to figure out what is possible. A carriage home makes sense, but it's very limited in size. Living space is limited to under 600 sq feet in the carriage house scenario. I'm looking to have 1000 to up to 1400 square feet, not including a garage. If anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.
Thank you.
Does anyone here have experience building a carriage/laneway house on their property? Iβd like to know rough cost, timeline, permitting etc.
Thanks!
I see houses sold as "carriage homes" but they mostly appear to be row houses. Is there a difference
I just finished this series last week and cant figure out how they found blood under the bed belonging to John's sister? Anyone else know, maybe I missed something?
Salt Lake City, UT. We just bought a house that was built in 1912. The house itself was recently renovated, but the garage (originally a carriage house) was untouched and needs a lot of love.
We love the charm and want to maintain as much of the original vibe as we can. But, I'm concerned about its structural integrity. There are a bunch of bricks missing on the back outer wall and random mortar cracks through out. Here's an up close photo of the missing bricks on back. I need advice on making sure this garage lasts decades. My initial approach was to clear out the damaged bricks on the back, repair brick by brick, and repeat on all damaged areas.
That being said, I don't want to put this work in if it's beyond repair. Are there any red flags when it comes to brick walls that indicate it's unsalvageable? Should I just have a professional take a look?
Bonus pic of the original door (which i intend to repurpose) laid against the inside of the same rear wall. You can also see the mortar issue on the right. I'd also love to know if anyone can tell me the purpose of the large pipe going through the rear wall.
Thanks for reading!
Hello, Iβm most likely moving to Hartford this summer to attend UConn law and I was wondering if anyone knew if the carriage house apartments on Allyn st. (Different from carriage place apartments on Forest st.) were a reputable place to live? I canβt find much on them online and the google street view makes the building look completely defunct. Any input would be much appreciated.
I have two postcards of a carriage house from West Virginia. It was built in 1845 in Wheeling. To claim, please have a thank you history and comment how this postcard drew you in. The winners shall be selected in ~24 hours
I was looking at Google reviews of this place and most of the reviews mentioned either terrible property management or mold. However, I saw that it's under new management now and I think that it's been renovated. I'd appreciate any input from anyone who either lives there or knows some who does, since it's a pretty good location+price but also mold=bad
Hey, so I'm going to Drexel in the fall for my MS in BME and I'm looking for a roommate. I am looking into the Carriage House apartments 2 bed / 2 bath setup.
located at: 3500 Powelton Ave
By the looks of the website, the rent would be like 1249 /month per person. lease term is sept 15-august 2022. I called the lady and she said if someone moves out before then we can move in a little bit early (which id prefer, I wanna start working on my research). The place has maintenance, AC and heater, wash/dryer in unit, wifi included, gym, yard, and some other amenities. It comes unfurnished but we can pay like 100 more a month for furniture (idk If id go that route myself tho, might take stuff from my current apartment).
A little about me,
I'm from Puerto Rico, I like to surf, photography, and stuff like that. I'm pretty chill I'd say, not messy, pretty in my own lane, won't bother you. A clean kitchen is a MUST. Preferably, no dogs but a cat is cool.

I'm not dead-set on Carriage house, I'm down for other places too.
