Like ... first you get to kill three "wolf boss" enemies that drop legendaries. Then when that is over, suddenly there is a new threat in the region – a wolf! Then you get to go and kill another wolf boss enemy who doesn't even drop boss type stuff. Heck, I don't even know if it has anything that separates it from a completely normal wolf. Such a weird downgrade from the previous event and with no logic. It must be utterly confusing to a new player, and utterly mind-boggling to a veteran.
It's a quiet Monday night, I'm done with work, supposed to sit down and relax but my mind is instead reeling with a new Twilight hot take.
I was left with the impression that vampires' presence trigger the phasing, not their scent particularly. However, I read a comment by u/simdethird20 that said that scent triggers it - which makes sense considering how sensitive and easily repulsed vampires and werewolves are by each other's scents. So that comment got me thinking...
Meyer doesn't specify exactly when Sam phased BUT:
The Cullens stayed in Forks for over 2 years without triggering any werewolf transformations.
Does that mean that Bella singlehandedly started this after spending a good couple of hours in close proximity with a vampire and riding in his car on a Thursday (chapter 5, Blood Typing) then visiting La Push with her friends Saturday morning? Maybe she didn't wash her hair these two days (explains the braid on Saturday? 🤔). Maybe she went to La Push still faintly smelling like a vampire.
In the book, the boy who said that "the Cullens don't come here" is not named but is said to be older than thr rest and taller; movie canon (ot at least Twilight Wiki) states this was Sam, however, the actor still has his long hair, implying that he hasn't phased yet.
What if Bella brought the vampire scent to First Beach on that day, which, even a little, started triggering the shapeshifting gene?
Even if she didn't, Jacob went to the prom - went because of her - and definitely went back home with some vampire scent on him, which he could definitely smell.
Even if Sam wasn't at First Beach with all the Quileute boys that day, maybe he was behind Jacob on the queue to get groceries or something 😀
In all cases, it seems like Bella is more or less the only reason vampire scent reached La Push - all other humans kept their distance from the Cullens, and people from La Push intentionally avoided going to the hospital (mentioned in New Moon) since Carlisle started working there.
So basically Bella's presence in Forks started EVERYTHING that happened later on.
Talk about bad luck. 😀
So I had originally replied in a different post that wolf packs were great for most of the game but become mostly useless late game. having some time with the new patch and skills, though, I think wolf packs have a niche they fill very well even late game... if you know how to use them. Using this fleet I took out a 190k persean league bounty without sustaining any losses. I wish I had the before and after, because it felt epic

Each book is about one of the siblings life and in the book they find their mate. In one of the books, one of the brothers was previously in a animal fighting ring and his mate ends up being a panther shifter and they both kidnapped by the same animal fighting ring and are forced to fight but then they are rescued. I think there is also a lion shifter too who is with one of the mates mum. I also think that one of he brothers is called Denver
