A list of puns related to "The Kane Chronicles"
Personally, In my opinion, the Kane Chronicles are very much underrated. I've just read them and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is just as good as Percy Jackson or Heroes of Olympus. The fact that so many people are saying that they are not good makes me feel angry. So, stop hating them. There is no respect for it either.
I just thought that this was the place to post it.
Okay so Iβve heard their are crossovers and such either happening or planned with the other characters that continue on the story with our favorite half bloods but Iβve never been really as drawn to these other series as they seemed repetitive and just the same formula but with different mythologies. Do I need to read them if I want to understand the crossovers and are they at the same tier
I see a lot of hate for them on the web and this subreddit, but I canβt say I really disliked them. Just interested to see what makes them so unpopular, that Iβm not ~seeing~!
Preface: Iβve read and I love ALL of the Riordan Mythos books.
To my displeasure, the KC continues to be the LEAST talked about series in the fandom. Even if it was critiqued more, at least itβd have some more publicity. This was Rickβs first branching out from Greek myth! And you can tell he put some effort to make it unique. The hosting the gods motif was awesome! It was special. And the gods themselves didnβt suffer too much from...imma call it Modernization. These gods were actually impressive sometimes. I feel like with some newer series, mainly in my opinion, Magnus Chase, the gods are made to be too much like caricatures. The Kane Chronicles werenβt like that. They also had unique, interesting POV from two siblings, and he made both enjoyable to read. In another POV series, this kind of falls flat. And letβs not forget the relationships here. Sadie and Carter growing to love and appreciate each other is amazing. And Bastβs concern for them is so heartfelt and it makes her sacrifice that much more unbearable. I think the romances werenβt as bad as in HoO either, tho Sadieβs Anubis/Walt conflict might not be everyoneβs cup of tea. I liked Carter and Zia a lot. The Duat was so cool and unique, the way the magic system worked was awesome. It is a worthy successor to the PJO books gods dam it!! Sorry for this stream of consciousness writing style.
I have the son of sobek and other bonus stories. I'm starting to read the kane chronichles for the first time. Should I read the 3 kane chronicles books and then read the 3 bonus stories. Or read the red pyramid and then son of sobek and so on. How should I do it with no spoilers

I read the Percy Jackson series and searched the web for other books in the same universe, and found these. Also what is Percy Jackson and the Greek gods/heroes? Are they worth reading?
I read the Percy Jackson books and most of the Hero's series and was wondering witch is better. I have both but couldn't read either, you know demigod problems. Any way witch one do you prefer and why
Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to Reddit, but I'm working on an honors thesis about Rick Riordan's books and I'm trying to find a specific quote from the Kane Chronicles. My friend suggested that I ask on Reddit to see if anyone remembers where it's from. Walt says to Sadie or Carter (I can't remember which) something to the effect of "I know that doing more magic will cause me to die sooner, but I'm going to die anyway so I might as well help." If anyone remembers this scene and what chapter it's from, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Heβs being booked as the big scary guy who destroys the champion leading up to the PPV but ultimately jobs to them, itβs sickening.
I also wish they'd have the lights flash one and off and the camera shake during his entrance while showing the water cup. And have everyone in the ring stumble.
I also can't wait for the eventual heel team that tries to stand still so Luchasaurus can't see them
