A list of puns related to "Pashons"
Name: Eysho Pashon
Age: 30
Homeworld: Ring of Kafrene, Thand Sector
Species: Human
Character Affiliation: Jedi (former)/Dark Jedi
Character Rank: Jedi Knight (formerly)
Force Sensitive: Yes
Appearance:Β White skin, black hair kept very short, average build.
Character Traits/Personality: Eysho isn't one to be short or direct always with his conversations. He keeps an air of formality around himself, and can be quite talkative, but reveals only what he deems necessary. More often than not, he was found deep in meditation, wishing to explore more of the Force and its intricacies, before the Schism of the Jedi. Now, with frustration, he follows through with his task and has yet to question what has been given unto him.
Character Strengths: He excels in Ataru, with his slight variation to the style being described as "watching the calm flow of a stream before it dashes upon the rocks". Stealth had always been his strong suit, and his ravenous pursuit for further understanding of the Force drove him to follow into the wake of the sundered Jedi, to know more of what could be found beyond his own physical form.
Character Flaws: His headstrong drive for understanding could very well be his last misstep in this lifetime. His anger is quick when he can't understand or comprehend. He also harbors an embarrassing touch of gynophobia.
Other skills: He cooks quite well.
Lightsaber skills: Form IV Ataru
Center of Being, Saber Swarm.
His variation to the 4th lightsaber form proceeded as a wild and widening sequence of slow and heavy strikes combined into fast, short jabs and slices, making for unpredictable movements, while sometimes reversing his grip upon his weapon mid sequence to change the angle of his assault and to throw his opponent off.
Force Powers: Art of Movement, Force Illusion, Morichro
Character Items and Attire: White and brown Jedi robes, arm wrappings to the elbow, lightsaber. Hilt of the lightsaber is slightly elongated, allowing to rest against the forearm in its reversed grip during combat. Standard hip pack containing essentials, and a datapad containing material Eysho has been writing for future generations.
Financial status: Moderately stable
Ship: None. Usually hides away in a cargo hold.
Backstory: Eysho Pashon has never been a person to make himself known, or to stand out. He preferred to shy away from the limelight, to let others lead as he watched carefully from beyond. But

Short Carbon Storage Animation
Emissions certainly must stop, but that's only the tip of the soon-to-be extinct iceberg!
Just kidding, I swear I'm not a nihilist!
Reducing the existing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere will take a long time because of the high concentration in the ocean. So as we drawdown and sequester carbon from the air through plants into the soil, the ocean will emit more C02. After ceasing emissions, we have to sequester 10-20 billion GT CO2/year for at least a few decades, possibly even a century.
I know that long term solutions like this don't seem very likely for humanity right now. To be optimistic, nature's response to our actions does often surprise us, perhaps we can achieve pre-industrial atmospheric CO2 concentrations faster than it seems. 350 ppm seems like a good goal, right? C02 is the cause of global warming, right?
What I like about this video is it brings in the role of biology to the current systemic problem of climate change and land degradation. Biology brings together the carbon and water cycles. Yes, sequestering carbon reduces atmospheric concentration while increasing soil organic matter. But for every 1g C in the soil, you hold 8g water. Or for each 1% increase in organic matter, the soil holds 20,000 more gallons water/acre. That means drought resilience, longer ground cover, more photosynthesis, more sequestration. And more transpiration, which generates rain and local cooling. The cooling aspect of biological ground cover and hydrology will be an essential climate mitigation and resilience strategy!
Do your worst!
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
There hasn't been a post all year!
