Title says it call, commission is paid but only after X percentage of quota is met, then once that minimum quota is met by the sales person... then they would get back pay for the commission once that threshold is met... brand new requirement for 2022.....feedback??? If you donβt already know, the mayor and several alders have proposed [legislation]( https://www.cityofmadison.com/news/mayor-and-alders-propose-to-ease-permit-approvals-for-accessory-dwelling-units) to make it easier to build accessory dwelling units on owner-occupied properties. Madison needs 10,000 new units in the next 5 years to keep up with growth, and ADUs are a step towards that goal with minimal downsides. The plan commission said at their last meeting that they donβt see a negative impact on neighborhoods or a notable effect on parking when residents build ADUs. However, this wonβt stop opponents of new housing from using parking as an excuse to stop ADUs.
The Plan Commission will be hearing public comment on this issue at their next meeting (Monday 11/22 at 5:30pm). Submit your comments by emailing pccomments@cityofmadison.com and/or register your support at https://www.cityofmadison.com/city-hall/committees/meeting-schedule/register. Choose the Plan Commission meeting on 11/22 and agenda item 1. Madisonβs website wonβt list the agenda item until later this week, but you can send the email right now.
