I had a lot of free time today so I decided to watch an anime movie and I randomly picked up " My Neighbors the Yamadas " from the Netflix India catalogue. I didnt knew anything about this movie before going into it except for the fact that its a Studio Ghibli movie. I just finished the movie now and it was really good imo. The animation was beautiful, the music was really good and the humour was great too. The best part about the movie for me though were the characters. All of the characters were so relatable. I think almost every 90s/2000s Indian kid will be able to relate to this movie. I was actually surprised to see this movie rated 7.1 something on MAL. I expected it to be higher. I tbh liked it more than Spirited Away (this must be a really unpopular opinion). I think you should give this movie a chance if you havent already. The humour in this movie is really good.

r/zen comment: Thanks, u/ianwm, for pointing me to this passage. In the comments section of my previous post, it was argued that this understanding is not only wrong, but unrelated to Zen. I wonder what they'll say when confronted by both sources. Worthy of note is that the exhortation here includes patriarchs as well as Buddhas. My hunch is that some members of this forum would greatly benefit from killing a Zen Master or two--conceptually speaking, of course!

Hear me out. I’m watching the live action for the first time and Draken just gives me such strong Jungkook vibes. Maybe it’s the side profile?? I don’t know. I can’t put my finger on why, exactly, and it’s driving me crazy. Anyone else have the same vibes??
