Looking for a hairstyling brush like Revlon One-step. I feel like Revlon burns off/ breaks my hair so I’d really appreciate something that’s a bit more hair friendly. Any recommendations welcome!
Hello! I’ve been really interested in roman hairstyling and fashion at the moment and I was wanting to give it a go so I watched some tutorials and they all seem to be using a blunt needle. Starting with the TLDR: I'm wondering if hairstyling could be adapted for someone with chronic hand pain
When I was in high school, I was in a program in my last two years where I could take college-level classes at a college campus and get 1 credit each for my high school and college diplomas. In my last semester, I took Hair Cutting and Styling and enjoyed it.
Nowadays, I cut my mom's hair (to save her money lol) and have been cutting my own during COVID, and I've been dying and styling my friends' hair (in normal times) before and after taking that class. I remember enjoying the class and I still enjoy working with hair. Sometimes I think about going back to college and maybe taking the full hair program so I can do it as a job.
The thing is, I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Trying to give you the short of it, it's a genetic disorder where your body isn't good at making the stuff it needs to hold itself together, and the most well-known symptoms of it is chronic, widespread joint pain. It sets in over time (as your tissues take damage through the course of your life and your body isn't able to properly repair it or the damage happens more easily) and the semester I took the hair class was right before EDS hit me hard.
I do have leg issues where I can't stand in one spot long bc it stretches out the backs of my knees (I can walk around the mall for way longer than I can stand at my mirror doing makeup) and sometimes use a cane bc I walk slightly off-balance. When I took the hair class, the classroom happened to have backless, height-adjustable stools so I usually pulled one up behind the chair my mannequin was mounted to and that took care of my leg pain.
Holding small things that I have to tightly grip for extended, continuous periods can be a problem for my hands, so stuff like holding shears for quite a while or doing small braids. If it's something non-continuous, like picking up and putting down a pen multiple times as I'm writing something, something larger, like a video game controller, or something I don't need to grip tightly, like a blush brush, it's not generally a problem.
So here's where I get to my actual question: Are there ways to adapt doing hair to hands that hurt while doing only some of the things involved?? I'm asking bc I know there's arthritis-friendly scissors for everyday uses, but I'm not aware of haircutting shears adapted for hand pain. Any other suggestion for how to adapt things for chronic pain would help.

What processes and tools were used by barbers in their era, and what about those before them?
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Let me share my 2000h of modded wisdom with you, my fellow vanilla comrades. My attempt here is to provide you with as many as possible improvements to the base game while keeping the style, balance and content as vanilla as possible. As they say, when works the best is when you don't realize it is there. I guarantee you that after playing a few dozen hours with these, you will no longer be able to tell what's vanilla and what's not. Welcome to the wait, is not vanilla? gang. No, seriously.
I decided to cut my recommendations onto several lists, so it's easier for you. The most purists players can stuck with QoL only. Or, even if youre so psychopath purist that you dont want any QoL improvement, you still can use the performance list.

How to mod the (steam) game?

Mandatory mods: Harmony and Huglibs. Something something libraries. They do nothing on their own, but most mods require them. While fewer, a lot of mods also require the Vanilla Framework Expanded, so suscribe to that one too.
I also recommend these two, is never wrong to have more tools at hand:
- Mod manager. Better in-game mod manager.
- ModDiff. Display differences between your current modlist and the game you want to load.
Once you subscribed to all the mods you wanted, you must sort them. I recommend RimPy. Do this every time you change your mods.
If you use the performance mods, run Rocketman adaptative mode the first time, as well as every time you change your mods. Um... if you are trying out stuff, you can wait until you are finished. Is not like your save is going to explode or something, it simply won't grant you a performance bonus. Adaptive

The flames of battle die, now the tools to heal move around the ship. Med-bay teams, Engineer teams, and teams alike helping the injured, the pain and scars of the battle clear in the women's eyes, but thankful for being alive and thankful to the one that saved them all. Supreme commander Yesleta sat in the conference hall, around her every team leader, minus Mad-bay team leader Momola`n and Engineer team leader Serifim. Both women were using coms. Each woman was waiting for their supreme commander to speak. Yesleta took everything in, since the small transport hit, the fight that occurred when the Alien m...Gab`riel was brought out of the transport, and lastly, the Agony Demon moths attack. They had lost two thousand crewwomen along with their families. From a logistic point of view, this was a small number and a win. Only losing 2% of their crew and killing two Agony Demons moths with a cripple ship was indeed a blessing from the Goddess of luck, Suerrter. Now, Yesleta had to prepare rights for the dead, so their souls could return to the Thirteen Goddesses, deal with the clean-up and the biggest problem of them all, Gab`riel. she turned to her teams' leaders.
"First thing firsts, the right to the dead, who will perform the right?"
Each woman looked at each other with worry. The right to the dead was a form of prayer a priest of the Thirteen Goddesses would perform. His blessing, along with his chants, would guide the dead souls back to thirteen heavens, but the priest died during the attack, meaning they needed to find one male crewmember for each Goddesses, making the right of the dead thirteen, and coming to a granted total of thirteen hours that they didn't have. Yesleta saw this and only sighed something for her future self to deal with. Now came the damage report.
"We will deal with that latter, now engineer team leader Serifim. What is the status of the ship?
On the screen floating in the middle of the conference hall, engineer team leader Serifim's face was filled with emotion ranging from rage to murder.
"I'm going to kill him! Every compartment! Every crawl space! Every system in the ship is covered in Agony Demons' guts! How!? Just how! could a male half the size of a full-grown Litrigon or Tubinestian do all that!? I don't even think we could remove all the guts even if we had ten rotations to do it! And what's worst, he ripped the damn power conduits off the Moon crystal cannons! R-I-P-P-E-D T-H-E-M O-F-F! that whole area of the ship

Debriefings can get boring. The contradictory evidence. The procedure. The struggle to compose a suitably unfair question. Some sucker's reply catches you on the hop.
So sod debriefings! Peter-l-TOL, away with you! Here's a game show that does this for you!
It's In the BAG has everything you could want in a vidshow: loyal Citizens being rewarded, Commie mutant traitors being... rewarded, it's all live and its coming to your sector!
7.2. After the Smoke Clears...
There'll be one helluva mess. Dead bodies. Liquids. Powders. Boxes and bales all over the shop. Frankly, there shouldn't be anything standing.
Give any surviving PCs a chance to agonise over the destruction. Maybe even start cleaning up the mess. Then...
With a faint click a loudspeaker comes to life. A voice, sounding a bit like Whoopt-Y-DOO's, yells: "BOSS COMING! BOSS COMING! DROP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND LOOK LOYAL! BOSS COMING!"
With another faint click the loudspeaker switches off.
That was Whoopt-Y's old warning system, from back when he was still bucking for promotion. If the PCs aren't trying to make amends yet this would be a great time to start, except...
Four people enter: two Green registered mutant guards, armed to the teeth; a neatly dressed Orange fellow; and JolI-Y-GUY.
The Orange merely raises an eyebrow at the scene. The Greens don't show a flicker. Rut Joll-Y doesn't seem very jolly. Point in fact, he's real unhappy. Why, he's so unhappy he's fallen sobbing to his knees.
Now is the time for all good Citizens to either help this poor wretch, or arrest him for treason. (Which of these approaches will get the PCs in trouble? That's right. Both of 'em.)
Actually, there's nothing the PCs can do that will prevent their being arrested, manacled and frog-marched to a cell in the nearest Termination Centre. On their way out they will note that the Orange is saying something that is improving Joll-Y's composure immensely...

With WQ Blizzard are sitting on a great concept that they use extremely poor. Its the great tool to make old world feel alive and also give more content for players of all types, that seems to be easily implemented and effective with minimum effort.

Spread many WQs all over the continents, including Draenor and Outland.

Reward players for doing them with nice cosmetics. It may be new cosmetics, but also old pieces of armor from every dungeon, raid and quest; toys, mounts, pets etc.

Introduce rare Legendary WQs (orange color), with cool cosmetic rewards. It may be either 1% drop armor pieces, rare mounts, even some cool hairstyles and tatoos for barbershops, spell skins (a-la Covenant spell recolors for NF Death Knights) etc.

Combine such legendary WQs with group/raid scenarios, so it could require some minimum efforts from players but being doable without premades and boosting.
Voila, you have every zone filled with players flying around and spending time having fun and getting nice cosmetic rewards. It would be a nice form of long time investment for most players and wont require some big time work and putting big chunk of resources.
Blizzard, please, make it happen. You have everything ready on your hands. Make it happen.
