A list of puns related to "Teacake"
Happens everytime and reminds me why I never shop Asda.
Edit: extra annoyance having to stand there taking each product out of the tray because they don't supply bags and have everything loose. Just give us bags and take them back like Morrisons.
Edit: for the randoms that are upset I didn't go into the shop myself. I live 40-50 mins from a supermarket out in the sticks I don't have time to shop for 3 hours so we get it delivered. Yes I did actually do the shop myself and paid for a service. Dunno why people are upset you can get groceries delivered. Lol
For all the cry babies who say it's not real I dug this out of Gmail bin for you

Stop DMing me with threats you Asda warriors
And not 1 ounce of nausea.
Win.
Edit: I should probably clarify my stance - although marketed as a cake, Iβd personally consider the bit on the bottom a biscuitβ¦
RPI: Sweet as a rose! Enjoy bright pink rose petals with a soft layer of creamy vanilla sugar. Scent notes: Pink Rose, Water Lily, Apple, Grapefruit & Vanilla Icing
PPTC: A blend of pink rose petals, pound cake and a vanilla glaze (some versions have orange essential oil listed as a scent note)
My thoughts: On initial cold sniff RPI is more brighter and citrus that PPTC. When lit it is 99.4% similar so yay a proper dupe! I would say PPTC is a bit softer and more sweet (which I love) but it is negligible when RPI is lit. To me PPTC (after the predominant sweet rose petal aroma) has a lemony vanilla glaze smell (maybe the orange essential oil?) which I guess is the grapefruit note in RPI. As far as throw PPTC is strong from the get go but I find that some candles need time and a well lit wax pool to waft their aromas and this is the case with RPI (strong but takes some time to get there). Overall I would say whether BBW decides to bring out PPTC this Motherβs Day or not I am happy that we have at least a VERY similar dupe at a fraction of the price point! Hope this helps everyone out there whether you are a BBW fan or Goosecreek or both like me!
Just that really. Google keeps bringing back some results from exploding tea cakes on an 1960βs RAF flight and Iβm wondering if anyone else has any more ~up to date~ experience of packing tea cakes in their luggage? Iβm travelling soon and would love to bring a taste of Scotland with me!
It made me realise I have never heard of anyone doing this other than myself. For me it just makes the Marshmallow firmer and more enjoyable. I also do this with snickers if you are interested.
Edit. Sorry for the random full stops in the title. Big fingers, and I'm awful at remebering to proof read.
A very easy method which such little ingredients to quickly full fill your tummies. This is a combination of a pancake and a tea cake, however its not a tea cake and its not a pancake either as there is more ingredients than what I used to accomplish a tea cake or a pancake.
This is more of a savory snack than a sweet one. One can add raisins, coconut flakes, cranberries or whatever your heart desires to the batter before frying or as toppings.. I decided to make mine plain and simple so that I add 1 teaspoon of butter when serving and watch it melt slowly. You can never go wrong with a bit of butter right? If you wish to have this sweet you can always spread nutella or any other sweet spread on top, it's up to you to be creative :)!
Ingredients :
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Flour
Method :
Gradually add water to flour, mix till the batter has a paste texture.
Add in salt and baking soda , mix til combined.
Add in raising/ coconut flakes / cranberries (Optional)
Fry each side for 4 minutes
Serve with some butter if made plain or eat as it is if done with raisins /coconut/ cranberries
Serve with nutella or any other toppings if you desire.
UPDATE (7pm): I'm floored by your overwhelmingly positive responses. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I'm going to take a break now, but I'll be back later/tomorrow morning, so please keep the questions and comments coming! Thank you again, all of you. <3 Stay safe!
No, YOU never brush your hair anymore
Hey r/Fantasy! Thanks for having me! :D
Some of you might already know me (but not in a Kvothe way). Though Iβm mostly a lurker, Iβve been part of this sub for a few years now; I did Writer of the Day back in 2016 (2016! How was it so long ago??) after self-publishing my first novelette Danse Macabre. Iβve contributed short stories to fantasy anthologies such as Lost Lore, Art of War, and the Stabby Award-winning Heroes Wanted. At one point I wrote for Tor.com; they commissioned me to write a βBeginnerβs Guide to Malazan Charactersβ and it was great fun. Oh, I also created The Fantasy Hive!
I live in Manchester, UK. I used to consider myself a Ravenclaw but these days Iβm definitely more of a Hufflepuff. I really like pizza. I used to teach English (hated it), and Iβm a former freelance editor. Most of my spare time is spent reading, learning the basics of digital art (you can see the mixed results over on Instagram), and gaming.
The past twelve months in lockdown have involved a LOT of the latter (video and tabletop). Though I used to exclusively play single-player RPGs like Dragon Age, Iβve also come to love chilled-out Switch games like Animal Crossing (is there anything more wholesome than inviting online friends to your island for a shooting star pyjama party?) and Stardew Valley (because whatβs more relaxing than a sequence of fifteen-minute days of trying to cram in all the tasks necessary to maintain your farm while also balancing exploration, social interactions, expansion and customisation?).
These days, though, I devote all my downtime to one game in particular. I wouldnβt say Iβm
... keep reading on reddit β‘it was like 30Β° in the tent??? there was no chance the chocolate would set without going into the fridge. every time i watch this episode i want to scream, everyone else was putting them in the fridge!!! come on girl!! still love her though
I recently bought a packoftunnocks teacakes. I thought the chocolate was different. When I checked the ingredients there I noticed there is palm oil in it. I don't think this was always there. Does anyone know or does anyone have a package from a few months back to check. Just interested.
