A list of puns related to "Quadrillion"
This is honestly such huge news that I can't believe it hasn't been talked about more. If you don't know what DTCC is, they're the organization that settles the vast majority of all security transactions in the United States. In 2011, they settled close to 1.7 Quadrillion dollars worth. With the recent boom in the stock market because of COVID, this is likely much higher than 2 Quadrillion for 2021.
Last month they announced that they will be launching a new platform that interfaces with the Ethereum network. This is from their press release:
>From launch, DSM will optimize primary issuance and transform secondary markets, creating new business model and distribution opportunities for participants while facilitating a digital asset ecosystem. Architected to be blockchain agnostic, DSM will initially interface with the Public Ethereum Network, but will incorporate additional public and private blockchain support based on client and market demand.
This platform is described as a market infrastructure for the global financial services industry. Essentially, Ethereum is going to power the future of securities trades.
TL;DR: The largest securities platform in the USA, that processes more than 2 Quadrillion in trades worldwide per year, is launching a new platform on Ethereum. I don't think I need to explain to you how huge this is.
๐ The APE Token ๐ต
APE is a 100% community driven token created by apes, for apes. ๐ฆง
When you buy APE, you're not just buying a token. You're joining an unruggable, diverse community of frens, memelords, and apes from all walks of life.
We share a common vision: we love memes, safe memecoins, and low market cap moonshots. ๐
We share common values: we hate rugpullers and me-too coins that have no unique identity.
We've made a breakthrough at the highest level of distributed systems that has allowed us to create what we think could be the greatest memecoin to ever come out of memetools. We're combining the twin forces of SafeMoon tokenomics and APE memes to take over the world, and we'd love it if you APEd in and joined us.
Apes alone - weak.
APES together? STRONG!

I was having a discussion with someone who insisted there are quadrillions of Guardsmen, and another person showed me two book passages that say Terra has quadrillions of people.
But is that hyperbole or literal? (Link below to the comments)
Edit: remember, one quadrillion is one thousand trillionsโฆand we mean god knows how many multiple quadrillions

Because crime.
The Great Financial Crisis (GFC) in 2006-9 was never repaired. Central bankers and governments patched Humpty up with glue and tape in the form of printed trillions of dollars, euro, yen, etc. But poor Humpty Dumpty was fatally injured

>Curious, what are your longer term projections and potential point of โmaxing outโ on Ampโs value?
So thatโs almost an impossible question to answer, but I love a good challenge so let me try to tackle it. Disclaimer: obviously most of this is just hypothesizing and brainfarting.
The first thing to understand before anything else is that Amp is a collateral token. This means its marketcap will not merely signify value of investment capital in the project but also critically refer to the total value of collateral available to the Flexa payment protocol (though that amount will by nature always be less than the total marketcap).
Therefore we can look to several things such as general credit/debit card transaction volume/value as well as digital payments transaction value as a guide for how much value Flexaโs collateral (Amp) โ and by extension overall marketcap value โ should be worth at any given time. Visa alone has an estimated credit and debit transaction volume of about $30 billion daily. Thatโs just Visa. MasterCard would add another $10 billion daily to the total. Combined that would be nearly $15 trillion a year. According to certain sources payment transactions that are specifically digital amount to about $1.3 trillion in value a year. Strictly bitcoin transactions amount to about $3 trillion a year.
Because Amp is designed to be โflexible,โ available to collateralize any asset transfer regardless of nature (though principally bridging digital assets to real world goods/applications), itโs safest to assume the total value of collateral at any given time would need to take into account both real world transaction volume as well as digital transaction value, including bitcoin txns as well as the txns of other crypto/digital assets. And while the $15 trillion a year includes credit transactions, which arguably is not exactly how Flexa is being utilized at the moment, consider the following remarkable data point: Visaโs 2020 annual debit volume was greater than its credit volume by nearly 50%, and that was a 20% increase in difference from the previous year ending in 2019 (Visaโs debit volume alone is nearly $7 trillion annually or roughly a little over $18 billion daily). In any case, for simplicity sake and to err on the side of [reasonably bullish] reality, letโs just go with the combined total (credit and debit, MasterCard included, but excluding exclusively btc and digital payments txns for now) of $15 trillion annually and $30 billion dai

I really hate reading comments that there is 1 quad of shiba in circulation. Its totally incorrect there is over 40% of the total supply burnt that leaves us with less than 60%. The burn is definitely going to bring the price up slowly but surely.
But lets not forget about the doggydao. As a community we can and WILL GET THIS TO 0.01 In our lifetime dream big dont listen to FUD. The DAO will be shibainu on steroids unstoppable and pumping.

I've noticed that people around here are often confused about inconsistent answers concerning the population of Hive Worlds and answers often go way too high or way too low. I understand that lore can be wildly inconsistent on this matter with phrases like "the Imperium and all of its untold billions" but I think we can use common sense.
Terra is an Ecumenopolis. It is entirely covered in Hives, packed together tight. Not Hive Clusters, which is when a dozen Hives or so are built close together in a Hive World, but Hive packages, where they just merge into an unending megastructure. If a Hive typically holds dozens of billions of people, then Terra very easily accommodates QUADRILLIONS of human souls. (In the recent "Watchers of the Thone" that term has been used. A relatively small area of land (say the former Michigan Peninsula or the former Japanese archipelago) would easily have trillions of people occupying it.
But Terra is an exception. For a Hive world to even break the Trillion people mark seems rare.
I've seen people say that most Hive Worlds have hundreds of Trillions of people. That would be insane. Hive Worlds tend to be depicted as huge polluted wastelands with Hives spread sparsely or accumulated into clusters, each of these structures occupying a relatively small piece of land (think Manhattan). They are nothing like an Ecumenopolis. If Hives have the population density of Kowloon, then it makes sense for them to have dozens of billions of people each, but if we go by the classical depiction of Hive Worlds (books, art, the Map of Necromunda, etc) there doesn't look like there's many Hives in each world, and the wikia supports this with the number of 5-20 Hives (I can't imagine it going beyond, say, 50).
So the largest Hive Worlds, disregarding exceptions such as Terra, don't seem to go beyond hundreds of Billions, perhaps a couple trillion.
Let's kill 5-6 zeros :)
The concept of "bitcoin" exists only in our imagination.Bitcoin is programmed to generate a total of 2.1 quadrillion sats.
The code does not know what a bitcoin is, it just knows sats.
Edit: I have to better specify what I mean since some people got pissed.
One bitcoin is an arbitrary representation of 100 000 000 sats.
This representation is specified here: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/4a7f6e0d0cdc8e8c7d68d58a14fc978f592ca05c/src/consensus/amount.h
