A list of puns related to "Liver Spot"
Hi everyone, first time posting on this subreddit. Had to create a throwaway because this is a very personal to me and my family.
First off, I want to start by saying I commend each and everyone of you for fighting through this.
My story is my mother's story and my mother is everything to me. She was diagnosed with PTC 6 months a go. She got a TT in Oct and recently had her RAI.
We thought this was the end of it. However, today we got a call from our radiologist saying the CT Scan showed spots on the liver. The next step for us is to do an ultrasound on liver as they cannot diagnose further based on the CT scan results.
Good news for us is there is no sign of cancer in by her thyroid.
There's nothing I can do here other than wait for the Ultrasound results. But my question to anyone going through this and maybe some one with more medical expertise can answer. Am I too optimistic to think that the tumor is benign and it was there from before? I've read tons of studies and they concluded liver mets are <0.5% of the cases.
Sorry for the rant. I just want my mother to be okay and this has been a very lonely journey for me and family.

Anyone have experience with this? We just had our 20w anatomy scan (definitely a girl and we are in love)!!! But there was a βbright spotβ on the babyβs liver. The doctor said itβs not uncommon and usually goes away, but in rare cases it can be a marker for Down syndrome. We already had early genetic testing and got negative results for chromosomal abnormalities, but now this spot has got me all kinds of freaking out. Anyone with experience to share insight? Would love reassurance if you have any to offer.
Got a call just this morning about my ultrasound results, he said it was all "basically okay" but there's a concerning spot on my liver that needs more imaging. I already have health anxiety and this shit didn't help. What a way to wake up, I'm just hoping it's nothing bad.
Has anyone had a "small spot" on the liver and it turned out to not be cancer ?
My brother just got back results from a PET scan. He had a successful whipple surgery in March 2021 and has done chemo ever since. The doctor said the scan looked clean, but they did notice a "small spot" on the liver. He said they were not sure if it was cancer or something else (ie fatty liver, etc). So they are doing MRI next week.
Just trying to figure out what other things it could be on his liver if it is not cancer?
It could be nothing, but it could also be something. I'm really scared that I'm gonna die. I spent so much of my life trying to kill myself and now I have things I want to live for. I'm getting married, I'm working a job that I love, I'm finally getting on my feet. I'm terrified that I'm not gonna be old and grey with my fiance, I'm scared that I'm not gonna open my restaurant. I'm so scared and I don't know what to do.
Iβm about a month post op now from my first lap, and there was an extensive amount of endometriosis tissue and adhesions excised and removed including two large endometriomas. The surgery lasted about 4 hours, and I was staged at stage IV. My surgeon told me there were a few small black spots of endo under my liver that she didnβt remove because she was concerned about damaging the sensitive tissue of the liver. I havenβt thought too much about it since, but now Iβm starting to wonder if others have these little specks of endo, and what it means for me in the future. Will it grow more, will I need a future surgery? Iβm going into my drs for a post op appointment Friday where I can ask more questions too, but does anyone have any experience or suggestions for me?
Thank you!
As the title says my mom (59) has probably got pancreatic cancer. The tumor is 4x5x3 and there are a couple tiny spots on her liver. A biopsy was done on the spots and the results should be in by Monday.
She has been diabetic for over 20 years and had breast cancer 17 years ago.
She's had stomach pain for about a month and finally got to see the specialist today after having an MRI last week.
She has been in the hospital for a week basically just getting pain management.
My question is what now? Google is coming up with prognosis of a few months to a year.
Other than the debilitating stomach pain she is fine. When she had the pain drip (which lasts a few hours) it's like nothing is wrong.
She says she will do the chemo, and I agree that she should but is there anything I can do to make it better for her?
I used to order the liver and onions from Harvest Cafe (my favorite breakfast spot) and they recently took it off the menu. Does anyone know where else serves this dish? I love it, but I can't cook liver myself it always comes out shitty and dry.
I posted here before about my dad having to go in for an MRI, but claiming to me (and my family) that he didn't know why they wanted him in for test, just that they were concerned "about something" from his last CT. He had Whipple in January 2020, 1 lymph node involved, clean margins.
Well he finally went in for the MRI last week and we got the results today. Apparently, what my dad wasn't telling us is that they thought they saw something on his liver during the last scan (which they initially told us was clean, it wasn't until they took a second look at it that they saw something concerning).
They called today and said whatever it was they were concerned about on the CT didn't show up on the MRI. But they still want him to come in for more blood work to check his tumor markers.
Has this happened to anyone else? What could have caused this?
Heya! 23F, 171cm, 67Kg, caucasian. Vyvanse 50mg, non smoker, stopped drinking a while ago. Had intestinal problems all my life.
Talked about the whole incident in this post. I went to the doctor afterwards and the dude didn't even exam me before giving me something for the cramps and saying I was good to go. So it's gonna take a while until I can get an appointment to ask these questions properly...
My calcium levels are still high and that worries me. I'm still feeling the pressure in my right side and it's so annoying. Lost another kg in the last three days and the exhaustion is getting out of hand. I went back to check the abdominal MRI I did before getting hospitalized (which said everything was ok) and found some black spots in the right lobe of the liver?

Listen, I'm trying to find ANYTHING that could explain why I feel so bad. I may sound hypochondriac at this point but I'm just desperate for answers. And my previous liver CT/MRI didn't show anything of the sorts. If anyone could please interpret these images for me, I'd be so greatful!!
Sry if that's not even the liver lol. And excuse my belly fat, the pants they made me wear were tight.
TLDR: black spots in the tip (???) of the liver. I'm stupid, please help.
