A list of puns related to "Common Basil"
I found this while searching for signs of nutrient deficiency in my basil plants.
I think this might be useful for some of you: http://www.e-gro.org/pdf/2016-4.pdf (PDF)
Hi,
There is a big lack of common opinion about extending basil lifetime, can someone shed light on this please? To be specific let's talk about genovese basil.
So on one side it's known that basil is a annual plant, so if left to itself it will produce flowers and die.
Now there is the option to cut off flowers to extend it's lifetime, on one website I read once cells change their mode the plant won't grow new leafes so even by cutting of flowers you cannot make the plant life much longer.
Now there are reports of really big (so probably old) and thick basil plants:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gardening/comments/fbmv7t/absolute_unit_basil_i_saw_in_tequila_mexico/
How is this possible, is this a grafted tree or maybe is it possible if you have temperature above freezing levels + cut off emerging flower to extend the basils lifetime?
How old is the oldest single basil plant you saw?
Anways basil can be propagated using cuttings so I guess even if my plants flower after 1 year I can take some cuttings without flowers to clone the plant and have a new plant?
Will a "senior plant" cutting (basil that has a few flowers) grow into a young plant again with good leaf production or are the cells already in "flower mode" and should I bette use seeds?
Waiting for seeds would take too long and kinda a waste of time until sprouts turn into productive plants, so to have always a high supply of basil + not much dead plant material etc. it's bets to propagate using cuttings + cut off emerging flowers than using seeds I guess?
Short summary:
What' the best strategoy out of all these (cloning basil using cuttings, cutting off flowers, keeping temperature above freezing levels, pruning it) to end up with the highest amount of fresh basil leaves with the lowest amount of hassle (dead plants, digging up roots)?
I'm trying to buy basil seeds to grow at home and there are several types. I'm unsure which basil is the one I am used to eating. There's Genovese, Sweet, Greek, and some others.
I just want the classic basil that you tend to see everywhere, whether it's used as garnish, shredded in a pasta dish or salad, made into pesto, etc.
Kaiserreich Beta 0.17 - โSpringtime for Kaiserโ
Hey everyone! Our next update here, it's not a big one but is rather a huge compilation of bug fixes and some smaller changes. We hope you enjoy it all the same! Now stop memeing, the pretty words are here.
Changes
Notable Additions
The unit limit formula has been fully reworked - it now uses the countryโs total population as a base, and then further modifies that value based on the countryโs industrialisation relative to its population. The upper caps have been completely removed.
Removed the militia unit - militias are now represented by infantry division templates with low combat width.
Restored the resource gain from infrastructure, but at a rate of 5% instead of the vanilla 10%.
Syndicalist-aligned Social Democrats have been removed. All such paths have been reviewed and moved to full RadSoc or full SocDem.
Expanded the interactions of the Austrian Military Occupation path with Germany, Poland and the Belgrade Pact - The Brotherhood of Slavs as a faction no longer exists, and its previous members now join the Belgrade Pact instead, calling them into the war against Austria. If Austria loses this war, it then seeks formal integration into the German Empire.
The Union of Britainโs Republican Army and their high command are no longer a ragtag group of screamy militias.
Overhauled the Indian portraits and rosters.
Added support for additional font colours and characters for decisions and tooltips.
Ongoing rebalancing and speed-up work in the Spanish Civil War, which is now set up to end in 1939 or before in most runs. The Spanish Civil War will now always occur, unless bypassed in Game Rules.

Hey everyone! So here I have penned a guide to moisturising/non drying body washes with experience test to see whether itโll work for you or not.
So how do you find one? Its simple as you only have to find some ingredients i.e. Polyquaterniums(also referred as polyquats or PQ) OR Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride(GHPC).
These are film forming agents that will form a protective layer on your skin. They have been around for a long time, intensively researched and can be used on your whole body including skin(including face) and hair. Since the silicone scare happened, their usage have increased exponentially. Youโll find them in your hair masks, shampoo, conditioners and even some face washes.
So you need to find one specific polyquat in your body wash i.e polyquaternium-7 (also written as polyquat-7 or PQ-7). This is the gold standard polyquat to help moisturize and soften the skin in body washes. Polyquat-10 will also do but PQ7 is the gold standard.
So now Iโll come to the test. This test is based on YOUR experience. So ik due to current pandemic situation you donโt wanna spend on unnecessary things. So Iโm mentioned the list of all body wash I could find with PQ7 and Iโm sure that you would have used atleast one from them and if you felt that below mentioned products worked for you in the past and you left them thinking them to be too commercial or it moisturised or at the very least it was non drying to your skin, then Polyquats and GHPC are your gold ingredients to find in a bodywash. I will also mention some common tips that helped me after the products list.
I went through whole body wash section on nykaa for this list.

####Prologue: What does playing "tall" mean?
"Tall" is one of the major playstyles that defined Civilization V, it was characterized by having a compact empire, usually 4 cities, and maximizing the value those cities had. Its opposite is playing "wide", which means that you take as much land as possible, founding many cities. The latter playstyle was not very optimized in Civilization V, due to an in-game mechanic that penalized civilizations that went too wide with increased research times.
When Civilization VI released back in 2016, playing tall was nearly impossible; their design decision, that a 4X (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) game with no expansion was no 4X game at all made sense, but left many veterans unhappy because their favorite playstyle was nerfed to the ground.
Come today, after the latest patch in Civilization VI, and the game has enabled many civilizations and changed the game systems enough that playing tall is now at least viable, in my opinion. In this guide I aim to share what I believe are some of the best ways to play tall in Civilization VI.
####Reach New Heights: The Basics
In order to play tall you must first understand that Civilization VI and V are almost completely different games. In VI, land has more value than ever, this due to the fact that constructing districts and wonders takes up a tile in your city. This means that the more cities you have, the more districts, buildings and therefore the more yields you have. Moreover, in VI the Governor and Amenities system encourages players to go above 4 cities. Regardless, there is a common theme, grow large amounts of population in fewer cities than what is normally expected.
Why would you want to grow tall in Civilization VI? Each point of population directly correlates to a "citizen", and citizens are what allows you to receive yields from the tiles in your cities, by "working" them. Each citizen in a city also provides 0.5 Science and 0.3 Culture per turn, meaning that every 10 citizens you receive 5 Science and 3 Culture. Large cities also exert a lot of loyalty pressure, especially during golden ages, increasing the chance an adversary's city may rebel. To top it all off, large cities can make use of specialist slots in district buildings allowing you to get more specific yields than those available normally from terrain.
To understand the recommendations I provide further down, I believe it's important to first understand the underlying systems of food

The worldโs oldest porn, which dates back over 3,000 years, features both male/male, female/female and male/female couples
The oldest ever known chat up line was apparently said between two men. A mythological story from the 20th dynasty of Ancient Egypt is between Horus and Seth, who quarrelled for 80 years on who should rule. Seth attempted to persuade Horus to sleep with him, saying: โHow lovely are your buttocks! And how muscular your thighs!โ They then have sex.
In Egypt, two male royal manicurists named Niankhkhnum and Khnumhotep were found buried together in a shared tomb similar to the way married couples were often buried. Their epigraph reads: โJoined in life and joined in deathโ. Having lived in 2400 BC, they are believed to be historyโs oldest recorded gay couple.
Some historical gay and bi figures have turned their lovers into gods. Alexander the Great wanted to make his boyhood lover Hephaestion a god when he died, but was only allowed to declare him a Divine Hero. The Roman Emperor Hadrian, of wall-building fame, was successful in making his lover, Antinous, a god after he drowned in the Nile.
The church sanctified gay marriages in the so-called Dark Ages, with one being the Byzantine Emperor Basil 1 (867-886) and his partner John.
In a creation myth by Aristophanes, there were three sexes: those with two male heads (which were descended from the sun), those with two female heads (from the earth) and those with a male and a female head (descended from the moon). Displeased with them, Zeus crippled them by chopping them in half. Since that day, according to the story, we are looking for the other half to create our whole. This is known as the Origin of Love.
Mercury represents male and female principles in harmony. In mythology, Mercury fathered Hermaphroditus, who had both male and female sex organs.
Ancient Greeks didnโt believe in heterosexual and homosexual. However they did believe in passive and active. The most common form of same-sex relationships were when an older male, the erastes, acted as a mentor and lover to a younger boy, the eromenos. They believed sperm was the source of knowledge and it was able to be โpassed onโ.

The funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.
Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.
--Edit-- I appreciate the condolences. I'm doing well and the worst is behind me and my family. But thanks :)
--Edit-- Massive thanks for all the awards and kind words. And the puns! Love 'em.
Because 10+10 is twenty and 11+11 is twenty too..
Edit: thank you for awards, I have never gotten one before. I apologize that this is a repost, I did see it on TikTok and thought that it was cute and wanted to share. In the future I will check the sub for similar content before I post anything.
I would have a daughter
So I was inspired by the (not) petting zoo post from earlier to write up my own experiences of working as a seasonal temp at a SeaLife centre in England. This happened the year before I started uni.
So I'm 18 and I've just moved to a new city to be with my (now thankfully ex!) boyfriend, and I'm looking for whatever job I can get. I see an ad for a job at the local SeaLife Centre (a chain of aquariums across the UK) for someone to do talks to the punters and such - I've been in theatre groups since I could walk so I think 'great, I can learn scripts and talk about fish', and manage to get a six-week seasonal job over the October half-term and leading up to Christmas.
About 50% of my job is doing these talks for school groups about the otters, the sea turtles, the Finding Nemo exhibit and so on. 15% is cleaning the outside of the tanks. 5% is dressing up in the giant otter mascot suit and getting kicked to shreds by toddlers at birthday parties. And 30% was sitting freezing my arse off at the Touch Pool - a simulated rock pool with crabs and sea anemones the kids could touch, situated right above the constantly open front door and directly across from the open topped Black Tipped Reef Shark and Moon Ray tank (and Basil, the bottom feeding Bamboo shark. He was my favourite <3 ).
That's right, I said open topped. With ~1.3m glass sides. Filled with water, sharks, and stingrays.
I kid you not, the number of parents I had to ask not to dangle their babies or toddlers over the ~1m deep water was ridiculous, at least 3 a day, probably rising to 10 or 12 on the busy weekends. The parents were not impressed by my adherence to basic common sense - I got thrown incredulous looks, angry retorts, the lot. The crowning glory though was the dad who informed me 'it's fine, you can just jump in there after them'. Dude, I am a 5ft 2' minimum wage worker, you could not pay me to jump in shark infested water to save your baby that you just dropped. Sorry not sorry!
That job was kinda terrible tbh, and the lunchroom was right next to the very smelly Quarantine area. I was very happy to leave at the end of my contract!
