A list of puns related to "American Cockroach"
My house has 2 floors and a third one with a terrace and a private room. I sleep in that room. Iβm the first owner of this house and it was build 4 years ago, so does my neighbors houses, or maybe just a few years more. Anyways, in this 4 years i donβt remember seeing roaches inside my house, not even on the kitchen at night, nor does the other 3 persons living in my house. But today after I came home, went to my room, layed on my bed and i felt something running through my arm, looked up and it was a roach. Went down quickly for some raid, found it and killed it. Until there, everything fined, thought it just find itβs way through my room some way. But then i found another, probably the same size and near the same place, near my bed and in that exact same side. This were quite big roaches, 1 inch or more. To be honest, doing some research, my room is probably perfect for them to live, but like i said, this is the very first time i see them ever. Didnβt felt comfortable staying anymore there but killed them both. I can take a picture tomorrow. Should i be worried? if i clean up everything, and try to make that room no source of water, food and hide out, like completely inhabit that room for a couple of weeks, will they go away? If I come back so do they? Itβs pretty late right now, but i donβt want to deal with something like that, my cousin have had this problems for years ( but he has really small roaches on his house crawling everywhere), so Iβm really scared. Like i said, this room is completely isolated from the house, is on the terrace on the third floor, so itβs weird for me that i have never seen any roach on the other 2 floors, but i just saw those 2 in a really small room and isolated. Tomorrow Iβll clean that room really well, look up for any hideout, leave no food or water income, thereβs not to much furniture so Iβll move everything in a way it canβt no longer work as a hideout and make the best to find those mfs and killed, Iβll update but in the meanwhile Iβd really appreciate to hear any advice on what to do or not do, also to avoid probably spreading the roaches to my whole house if there really is a problem in my room.
Lately I have been trying to classify flora and fauna that is commonly found in Maltese households. Imagine my surprise when I identified the cockroaches as being American! Is this your experience too?
Recently I had neighbors move in my apartment above me, Iβm the bottom of 3 floors, for the past 9 months they been vacant however 2 months ago they were filled. Recently last 2 weeks I noticed a lot of drain flies and gnats in the apartment. I bought some drain treatment for them and begin putting it down daily which seems to reduce the numbers but not eliminate them. The apartment is quite old and I assumed there were bugs in it but I hadnβt caught anything in the stick traps I had put out but two days ago I caught a large cockroach I assume its an American Cockroach because of its size. Nothing else in any of the traps, itβs a 2 bedroom apartment and I have 15-20 traps down, one on every wall of the bedrooms, plus closets, behind the washer/dryer, behind toilets, and under the hotwater heaterβ¦.is this a one off event or does it indicate something larger? Also not sure if the new neighbors have anything to do with it or not.
Floridian here.
We just closed on our first house 4 days ago. We have not moved in yet but have been going over every day. We have seen 3-5 giant cockroaches daily, mainly in the kitchen, indoor and outdoor storage closet, and garage. Mostly theyβre on their backs, dead or wiggling, but we have seen 2 crawling around in the kitchen.
We had pest control come out on Tuesday (day 1) which we thought at the time would just be a preventative measure. Ugh. He sprayed the outside perimeter of the house and inside the outdoor storage closet, and put bait in the kitchen cabinet doors. At the time he mentioned he didnβt think we had a βbadβ roach problem, based on what he saw there, while staring into a drawer that had quite a bit of roach poop in it. He said we shouldnβt be seeing anymore live roaches after 2 weeks.
I was hoping they had just snuck in from outside because itβs been raining a ton and the outside storage door was left open (which is adjacent to a missing outlet plate on the inside wall). (And we are going to cover the missing plate ASAP.)
I know American cockroaches donβt typically infest the inside of houses, but Iβm worried this house might actually have an infestation. Before we had the house cleaned, the cabinets and kitchen drawers had a significant amount of roach poop in them. The cleaning lady said they looked βoldβ and not fresh but I donβt know how she would know that? My partner asked if she moved appliances and found any bugs behind them, she said she βonly found a few dead onesβ but Iβm not convinced she actually moved appliances. There was a cobweb above the fridge that was undisturbed, I assume she would have cleaned that if they actually moved the fridge. And while inspecting the cobweb, I noticed an egg sack above the fridge. picture
We emailed the pest control company the picture. They responded that the treatment they did will take care of anything that hatches. But Iβm ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of American cockroaches sooo naturally Iβm not convinced.
I am absolutely dreading moving into this house now. We have already pushed our move-in back as far as we possibly can. What do I do? Wait out the week and a half and trust that the bait and outside perimeter spray will be enough, while living in fear every time Iβm near the kitchen/garage? Does someone need to pull out kitchen appliances and check behind them??? I was so excited for this house and now Iβm leaving it in tears every time I go ov
... keep reading on reddit β‘It's fully grown. It's alive. For how much money would you eat it (still moving, unfrozen). You will be granted medical attention should anything go wrong. You only eat one.
Edit: you gotta eat it while it's still alive

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but thereβs a really big cockroach just sitting on the wall above my parentsβ roomβs doorway [too high to reach]. I donβt want to kill it but Iβm also kind of too scared to try to trap and release it. Should I tell my parents that itβs there? Theyβll kill it immediately if I do but I donβt really know what to do.
Iβve taken steps to keep the house cleaner to try and mitigate the risk of an infestation but we still periodically see cockroaches.
Can these two exist in the same enclosure? Itβs ok if they canβt, but I want to make sure I am ok.
