CLAIMED
Hey guys, these were my first hiking runners and I didnβt know I would need to size up to prepare for swelling. Iβd like to give these free to a new home that could use them - just pay shipping. Theyβve had about 50 miles of wear but still are in great condition. A bit dusty but ready for use.

Gerald R. Ford class aircraft carrier
Background:
Constructed sometime before the start of the U.S.-Federation War in 2017, the USS Liberator was a modern Gerald R. Ford class nuclear aircraft carrier. She carried over 90 aircraft, made up of fighter jets, as well as anti-submarine and advanced early warning aircraft, along with several transport helicopters. Her armaments consisted of two RIM-162 Sea Sparrow surface-to-air missile launchers, two RIM-116 Rolling Airframe surface-to-air missile launchers, and four Phalanx CIWS emplacements.
The Liberator was built as part of a U.S. Military build up following the Tel Aviv War and subsequent rise of the Federation of the Americas. In 2017, she would be away from port when Federation soldiers would seize the U.S.'s new ODIN orbital weapons system, destroying several major cities throughout the Southwestern U.S. By 2027, Liberator would be considered the last U.S. carrier, as the rest had either been sunk, rendered inoperable, or were undergoing repair and refit after 10 years of war.
She and her battlegroup would be assigned to a daring assault on Federation territory in Chile, after NORAD discovered the Federation was about to bring their own orbital weapon system, LOKI, online. Liberator's battlegroup was intercepted by a massive Federation task force, who attempted to board the carrier, but were stopped by her crew and the elite U.S. special forces unit known as the Ghosts. Sadly, she soon met her end, as the Federation brought LOKI fully online. A single tungsten rod struck the ship, destroying the bridge tower, and causing her to capsize to port. Despite her loss, the strike force would make it through, and the U.S. would later seize LOKI and use it to decimate the Federation's military, swinging the war back in the U.S.'s favor.
Namesake:
Liberator is named for a person who frees others from imprisonment or oppression. In real life, there were three ships bearing the name. The first was a 44-gun frigate built in 1826, originally for Greece, but was acquired by the U.S. Navy and renamed the Hudson. The second was an animal transport ship launched in 1918 and scrapped in 1933. The third was an Accentor-class coastal minesweeper assigned to the 13th Naval District in Washington State during WWII.

Liberator's stats are quite good for a modern carrier. Most of her firepower lies with her air wings, though her installed armaments give

It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
