To anyone who’s also been to a show where one of them were, has anyone gotten pics w them? Idk what to do bc I feel like if I just sit in the theatre and wait for him to come and talk there’s no way I get a picture w him. Should I try to wait in the lobby or something? Thanks

I work at a boutique hotel in Chicago and our only parking option is 60 dollar overnight valet.

Typical bratty rich dude checks in and leaves his Tesla out on the front drive. He takes his family up to the room and doesn't return until 2 hours later. He sees the ticket on his car, freaks out, and then proceeds to scream at the front desk and ask why we called the cops (we didn't, they ticketed him on their own), and that he's a military contractor who's been all over the world and that he's ~never been treated like this~ (more like no one has ever thought to challenge you before, you wasp), and that the hotel is now gonna "be out $10,000" and that we're "not gonna like the review we get after this."

I told him to take it up with City of Chicago department of revenue and that we welcome his review. He stormed off.

The best part? The ticket was more than the parking. He shoulda just come back down and valeted his car!

I would help if I could but I’m just a college student and I’m broke. She was trying to secretly save up money to get out but is not allowed to work (her abuser gets her fired if she gets a job) and is essentially confined to her home. She just really needs a ticket out quite literally. And one for her cat as well.

EDIT: MY FRIEND IS SAFE AND SHE IS ON HER WAY HOME CAT AND ALL AS I WRITE THIS. I can’t even believe it. The amount of insane coincidences that lined up in order to give her a window to leave secretly without a scene were unbelievable. We are both overwhelmed by the number of kind responses here and how many strangers were willing to help. Her mom even stepped in and was willing to offer her some much needed love and support after a year of nothing. Thank you everyone so very much. Time to get ready to pick her up from the airport. What a day.

Keep your ticket just in case but it has never not worked for me, just be specific about which machine ate your ticket, it sounds more believable that way.

Going TDY in a few months and am looking to go leave en route home before the TDY. I was told today by TMO Passenger travel they could process the ticket swap once I have orders (which likely won't be until just before I go). I was briefed they have X amount of dollars for my travel, and anything above that when I process the leave ticket comes out of my pocket. I am trying to find a good way to estimate what that difference will be, but was told they can't even give me a round number what I may be spending. I'm just trying to plan ahead so when the time comes I have a good idea of dollar amount.

Anyone have experience with the process or know how I can gauge what my total will be out of pocket? Thanks

Curious what you guys do with Vendor "Known Issue" tickets.

Any time I have a vendor engineer tell me that the problem we're experiencing is a known issue, they immediately want to give me the bug-ID and close the ticket.

While I understand this, and know that they are evaluated on things like # of open tickets, time to close tickets, etc, I also feel like my ticket should be left open until the problem is resolved, not closed when my problem is identified

This has the added benefit of providing me with a notification when the bug fixed is released, negating the need for me to check every week.

How do you guys normally address Vendor tickets regarding Known Issues?

Friendly reminder that if you took ride sharing home from the bar instead of driving and get a parking ticket overnight you can nullify the ticket by showing your ride sharing receipt within 24 hours.

I have to leave town and will be out of internet access for the entire weekend! The waste of my blizzcon ticket(streaming not event) is one thing, but now I'm fearing I won't be able to see the tournament ever. Will there be VODs of the tournament along with the amazing casting team? Or even replay packs?
