A list of puns related to "Health facility"
This is not a current situation. My 11 year old son made some remarks at school that prompted the admins to ask him a series of questions to assess his risk of suicide. They called me, brought me in, and made me sign a form that he had to see a mental health professional within 24hrs. That timeframe leaves no choice but go to the ER, which I did.
At the ER, they ask the same questions, which I've gathered are standard. Nevermind that a kid may have never heard of the concept of suicide and now repeatedly gets the suggestion from authority figures with questions such as, "Do you have a plan to hurt yourself? Are there any weapons that you have access to?" Jesus, if they were upset and have never considered hurting themself, now they're basically getting instructions on how it could be done. Fucked up, in my opinion.
From there, if the kid says yes, I know where a knife is and I think I might hurt myself when my parents are asleep, then little do they know but that's the domino that falls over to send them away for a week at a mental hospital. My son had never been away from his family a day in his life and got locked up and dealt with harshly at a facility I had no choice in. I could not visit him in person the whole time and could talk to him briefly once per day.
He has ongoing counseling and takes medication to help with anxiety, which is the real culprit, not suicidal depression. However, he still has nightmares about being at that facility. He has had triggering events at school where he gets hostile with an adult because something happened that reminded him of being locked up. The mental health people are doing more damage than good when they put a young kid through that.
What legal avenue could a parent faced with these realities pursue to protect their child so that their health needs could be addressed without running the risk of scarring them by having them locked up?
Iβm looking to check myself into a mental health facility and was looking for some recommendations of where to go (Iβm in southwest Sydney but Iβm willing to travel to central Sydney) and some first hand experiences. What can and canβt you bring? Does it help? Whatβs it like? Iβve tried to google a lot of this stuff but itβs all US based and I just get really freaked out about the whole thing.
I struggle with anxiety, massive depressive disorder, panic disorder and anorexia.
I need help please.
An estranged sibling in another town reported I was suicidal (I was not). Five flashing SUV patrol vehicles appeared at my home (for my neighbor's viewing.) They told me my sibling from a different city had called the Sheriff's office and said I was going to hurt myself. I explained to them that I am estranged from that sibling for years and he does not know me.
Before officers arrived, I had showered, washed and dried my hair, washed a load of clothes and was dressed in my pajamas to relax, when the deputies knocked on door. I assured them over and over I was not going to hurt myself, or anyone else, I was not drunk or under any substances and I did not have access to any weapons. I told them I was a police dispatcher years ago and I was not suicidal, nor have I tried suicide in the past. At that point, my husband heard conversation and came downstairs to see what was going on. He then also assured the deputies I did not need to go. That I was home, safe, not going to hurt myself or anyone and it was my birthday.
Well guess what??? Instead of listening to my husband and myself and visibly seeing me in person, they involuntarily committed me based on a call from an estranged family member out of town.
I was discharged the next morning by the on call doctor. I did not meet the criteria for "Baker Act". I ordered copies of all reports, officer's names, copy of officer's body cam and any recordings. They know the officer's body cam will show I was not suicidal and was incorrectly committed.
BUT,.......... I recieved notice from their office I must
PREPAY the Sheriff's Office $400. up front for their 16 hours of 'clerical redaction' before they will provide me the body cam, essentially my proof that I did not meet involuntary commitment. And they added if I don't pay that $400 soon, the body cam will be erased/purged 90 days from the incident (12/8/21). I do not want this incident on my record because it was very wrong and can affect my future life.
Any attorneys/judges out there that know if this is legal??? Wouldn't taxes we pay cover the body cam cost? Also, im the victim, should they not provide records and body cam to me at no cost?? Also, why "redaction" if I'm the victim??? Is this legal???
I also want to see that filthy, unhealthy facility changes for others. I feel compelled that they must change, so others are not traumatized like I was. Employees try to demoralize the patients, they bully and treat the patien
... keep reading on reddit β‘There have been 12 new cases of COVID-19 reported today. There have been 1,031 cases reported in South Australia to date.

Of these cases, one acquired their infection interstate, five acquired their infection locally and are known contacts of a positive case, and six acquired their infection in Australia and investigations into the source of their infection is still ongoing.
Two health care workers who have visited and delivered care to residents at a number of Residential Aged Care facilities (RACF) across metropolitan Adelaide have tested positive to COVID-19. Affected RACF sites are being contacted by SA Health and supported to implement additional infection control measures, while testing of residents and staff is being undertaken. SA Health is working closely with the Commonwealth Department of Health and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission to enact protocols to protect aged care residents and staff from the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
A man in his 30s and a man in his 60s are in the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a stable condition.

When I was a teen I made a suicide joke and the threw my ass in the looney bin will this disqualify me from being able to get my card? I will be turning 21 in a couple days so I didnt know what I should put down for the mental health question they have on the application
The mental health center I'm living in has a stipulation that I must sign over my Intellectual property to them. This is... unusual to me and as an artist and content creator I don't feel entirely comfortable doing this. Is this normal?
The exact wording is "I agree that [Facility] may use any intellectual property created by me with my name as the creator, in any portion thereof, for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to such purposed as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content"
Added to this, I was delivered this agreement today after having lived here for over three weeks, with the date that I arrived entered as the date I am to have signed. I would like to have them change the date to the day I was delivered the papers and not the day I entered.
I worry they'll make a fuss and say "we'll get in trouble if we don't say you signed on the date you arrived."
Also there is fear of explusion from my living situation if I don't cooperate, where I have my $2000 PC and basically all my valuables, and have no family in my area as I'm out of state. I've heard they've removed people without notice and seized (in their words "never had") client's property.
I'm very uncomfortable with the overall situation and don't know what to do, as they want me to obviously sign as soon as possible for documentation, and as the papers are already three weeks late there's a lot of pressure to do it ASAP.
Bill here: https://le.utah.gov/~2022/bills/static/HB0182.html
As mentioned in the title the bill would exclude state facilities and the capitol hill complex from the authority and jurisdiction of a local health department. Limits the applicability of a public health order or order of constraint issued by a local health department. Prohibits a chief executive officer of a municipality (pretty sure that's a Mayor) from exercising emergency powers in response to a pandemic, an epidemic, or a public health emergency. Then lastly it enacts a provision indicating that the Disaster Response and Recovery Act preemptsΒ and supersedes any law of a political subdivision of the state pertaining to disaster and emergency response.
Just my personal opinion and insight but I genuinely believe she is a danger to herself and others and should be getting serious psychiatric treatment. This doesnβt take away from the fact that mental illness aside she is a bad person!
Hi, I have bpd and have just broken up with my partner, have had to move out and leave her and her 2 year old daughter. It's all quite traumatic for me and I'm just wondering about any facilities I might be able to seek help from this time of year if any? Appreciate any responses π₯Ί
Wish me luck!
I know someone who suffered a heart attack and was wondering if there are any places that offer surgery.
It seems like they have been undocumented for a while.
