A list of puns related to "Daniel Boone Homestead"
Hey everyone. I am really interested in turning my Daniel Boone into a pizza oven with the attachment. My question is because everything I read about the oven attachment it requires you to put your grill into pizza mode. I found out today the older (choice) grills down have a pizza mode option on the app. Knowing this, will it still be able to make pizzas the same way and the stone heat up the same way as if I had pizza mode?
Thanks!
I live in coastal FL so tons of humidity. I have a GMG Daniel Boone and a Weber stainless propane grill. I have both of them under my patio roof, out of the elements. Both grills are also covered with their respective OEM grill cover.
Iβve always assumed you should cover your grills when theyβre outside, but I just took out my smoker yesterday for the first time in about two months, and there was a lot of white mold all over the grates, sides, etc. I got to googling and some people say that mold is due to having the grill coveredβ¦?
What do you all do with your grills? Especially interested in people living in humid environments.
Anyone ever work at Daniel Boone? Whatβs it like there?
I recently (November 21) rode the DBBB on a KLX400 (green drz 400). When I was researching this I found very little motorcycle specific info and wanted to contribute to the hive mind.
First things first, whatever the DBBB was originally, it has been heavily deteriorated during the covid off-roading boom. I saw some early videos of people on the DBBB on KLRs and other bigger bikes but I can say that as of November 2021 that would be a horrible choice unless you are truly a riding prodigy. My DRZ400 was the biggest bike in our group and it was a handful. I had dual sport tires on my bike and that was a mistake. I will ride the DBBB again on my DRZ but I will do it with full knobbies and lower gearing.
If you have a lighter weight dual sport bike with knobbies and a little off road experience the DBBB is awesome on a motorcycle. Our favorite sections were Spaas Creek Rd and Lower Devils Creek rd. Pumkin Hollow and Finncastle were very challenging but fun. We passed gas stations enough that carrying fuel wasnβt required. If you start early and donβt take long breaks you can do the whole thing in a long hard fun day.
Appreciate any guidance on this as many YouTube videos and articles havenβt helped.

All help is appreciated!
Hail Mary hoping someone had a similar issue and figured it out.
4 year old GMG Daniel Boone. Plug in, turn on main switch, display reads "off", will stay that way just fine as long as I let it. Basic power doesn't seem to be a problem.
Push the Up button to begin the startup sequence, GFCI outlet trips within a second every time. Seems to coincide with the startup of the auger feed, well before any ignition. I replaced the igniter spring 2020. Worked fine all season.
Things I tried in the last week or so:
- Different outlets and circuits.
- Emptied the auger. Cleaned the firebox (which I do regularly anyway).
- Replaced the auger motor ($60. Was a PIA). All the cables are tied back out of the way. Auger still easily turned by hand when I had it apart.
- Compressed air to clean off the control board. Checked all the connections. No apparent damage.
I keep it covered 100% of the time it's not in use and it goes in the garage for the winter.
Not excited to spend another $150 on a new control box, but I'm running out of things it could be. If someone else was unfortunate enough to go through this, you have my sympathies.
