A list of puns related to "Training Camp"
> Whatβs more likely to happen β DΠΎnald Π’rump proves outlandish claims that he justly won the 2020 election? Or NBA guard Ben Simmons reports to training camp with his hated Philadelphia 76ers. > > According to Sixers head coach Doc Rivers, the cΠΎnspiracy theories that surround both scenarios can seem like one in the same. Joining MSNBCβs Morning Joe to promote his new docuseries podcast It Was Said Sports, Willie Geist took a minute to ask Rivers about the spiraling rumors surrounding Simmons, who recently demanded a trade from Philly. > > Rivers said he wants to convince the 25-year-old former All-Star to stay with the Sixers, but itβs proving to be a difficult task. > > βThereβs times that I think weβre getting through,β Rivers acknowledged. βAnd thereβs times that I think that Iβm talking to people who still believe Π’rump won the election. So Iβm not sure, but Iβm going to keep trying.β
>Shortly after that ugly Game 7 loss, and following a discussion between management and Simmons' representation, both sides agreed to look for a trade as the draft and free agency approached. Over the ensuing weeks, the Sixers had talks with numerous teams, sources said, and several made what they believed were legitimate offers.
>It became clear the Sixers' asking price for Simmons was steep; Philly was looking for a premium return whether it was a star player, multiple first-round picks or both.
>After the transaction season ended in mid-August, owner Joshua Harris and 76ers management flew to Los Angeles to meet with Simmons and agent Rich Paul. The Sixers intended to tell Simmons they couldn't find a deal for him and hoped to put aside differences and enter the season on the same page, sources said.
>Simmons, however, was steadfast, telling Harris he didn't want to play for the team again and that if he wasn't traded by the end of the month he didn't intend to come to training camp, sources said.
>The point was made that it wasn't Simmons' responsibility to increase his trade value, and that the Sixers should find the best possible trade and execute it now, rather than wait for a strong start to the season to increase his value.
>Expect the NBA to step in if Simmons does not report and the 76ers do not penalize him financially with a suspension. The last thing the league can afford is a precedent of players under contract not reporting for training camp.
The criteria for teams to be picked is to keep your coach from the past year, to not have made the playoffs the past 2 seasons, and to not have been on Hard Knocks in the past 10 years. I think that leaves only the Jets, Lions, Giants (assuming they are keeping Joe Judge), and Panthers. I would think Giants would be the first choice because they have more star power than the Jets and seem to have alot of drama.
Big body receiver, good speed, looked to make decent routes. Usually I wouldnβt count on an unproven rookie WR but weβve had our fair share of issues. He has to be better than Pascal right? At least with more upside
