A list of puns related to "Shops"
Hi all, Iβm looking for petshop name puns. So far I have the following:
House of Furrser (House of Fraser) Dorothy Pawkins (Dorothy Perkins, Uk store) Pawpal (PayPal)
Hoping you guys collectively have better ideas
I keep a little list of punny shop names I come across. Note: I'm in Belgium, the Dutch for wool is 'Wol', and apparently that's perfect for interlingual punning.
Which ones can you guys add to it?
Hiya everybody!
I'm starting a campaign and in the world, there is a business that I have not yet come up with a definitive name for. The business specializes in making baked goods and also (usually very) volatile potions. I was wondering if anyone could help me suggest more creative names for the shop, because I have lost my ability to come up with any names. Silly names with puns and/or alliteration would be ideal!
For a bit more context, the business is run by a married couple, whose names are Nero and Ahlyne (pronounced 'ah-leen') Bacchus.
My Current Ideas:
- Bacchus' Bakery and Brewery
Edit: Thanks to everybody for your contributions! I have picked the name High Stakes Bakes
Some of my other favorite names were:
I just moved to a tiny mountain town in rural California and even here our local tea shop has a punny name: Sereni-tea. Their slogan is even 'At the steep side of Mt. Shasta'. Get it?
Now I'm curious: What's the best tea pun store name you've seen?
EDIT:
CHAPTER 21 IS COMPLETE, THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO CAME UP WITH SHOP NAMES! THEY HELPED SHAPE THE STORY WHEN I DECIDED WHICH ONES TO USE AND I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS! <3
OK, so I'm writing a fanfic right now, and I've kinda dug myself into a hole. I've already used From Dust Till Dawn to make Dust in the Wind, but now it's a full fledged mall we're talking about.
I need shops that sound like they fit in Remnant, stat. If the names are puns, that's even better!
EDIT: For those of you who want to see your names realized once we have our shops and the chapter is done, here is the Fan-Fic. Thanks again guys!

A few people had mentioned the idea of us having a thread where people could post their businesses and/or side hustles so we could do some holiday shopping or get gift ideas in a way that could also support the local community.
So here it is, basically. We'll leave this thread up until Christmas or so. Post a link to your business, your etsy page, your facebook marketplace or other online store shop, written description about what it is you do (if you provide some kind of service but don't have much of an online presence). Even garage sales are fine. You can post on someone else's behalf too.
I'll try to periodically go through the thread and edit everything in to the main post and organize it by category. Maybe tell us a little bit about your recommendation or your store so people know why to go there.
Obviously, this thread is going to be a temporary exception to the "/r/olympia is not a marketplace" rule, but be safe about buying stuff online, and report any pages that look weird if to us.
A few more guidelines to keep this thread tidy:

Hello hello lovelies! Iβm hettie, but you can call me fuckin broke. Iβve only done one face, and thatβs with stolen pound shop (pun intended) makeup. Can anyone recommend some cheaper brands for a baby queen? ,,Hopefully Iβm posting in the right place.
Howdy folks,
So I just built myself a pc, which I haven't done in over a decade. The issue I'm having is Windows. I essentially ran over budget this month and needed to tighten my grip on the OS for now and then upgrade at a later date. So, I went the route of Windows 7.
I searched around, window shopped (pun not intended lol) for the best deal. Found a killer price of empiregaming.com and bought myself the activation code for Windows 7.
I head over to MS's website to download the ISO FOR Windows 7 so I could boot up from a USB and finally use my newly built pc. However, when i punch in the code i bought in the validation window, it says the code is either invalid or not supported on the site. Which is bizarre as empiregaming is a reliable and trusted site.
What on earth is going on? Are activation keys and product keys different? If so, then how the hell do I get Windows 7 on my pc to activate it?
Thanks folks :)
That's when I realised I was playing the Bee side.
The man asks "is this good for wasps?"
The cashier says "no sir, it kills them"
Is anyone else worried that one day they might run out of clever puns, either for the shop or for the exterminator (and then both)? I mean, I really like then as I did when I watch Futurama, but Futurama didn't necessarily had any mean / logic behind then and Bob's Burgers do.
So, I made myself sad thinking about this after nearly dying of laugher on today's shop pun.
Apparently someone βstoleβ my battery overnight; so she gave my phone back to me, free of charge.
They said no, youβll have to bring it back tomorrow
Police are now looking for a man with a price on his head.
I kneaded the dough.
They have wheely good service
This happened a while ago. The free donut story reminded me of this.
I was going to a family event and stopped at a local farm fresh ice cream shop on my way there.
My bf gets out to get a gallon of ice cream. He comes back all exasperated telling me that the girl at the counter won't sell him a gallon of ice cream.
I get out of the car and go up to the window and asked for a gallon of ice cream.
Ice cream shop server: We can't sell you a gallon of that flavor.
Me: Are you out of that flavor?
Ice cream shop server: No. We just don't sell it in a gallon.
Me: It doesn't matter what size the container is in, I just want to purchase a gallon of it.
Ice cream shop server: We can't sell you a gallon.
Me: OK, I will have 2 half gallons.
Ice cream shop server: We can't sell you a half gallon.
Me: (getting frustrated) What size container do you sell this flavor in?
Ice cream shop server: We have it in a quart, pint, cup or cone.
Me: Great! I would like 4 quarts please.
Ice cream shop server: (Hand packs 4 quarts, puts them on the counter with snark and ignorance) You can't just buy a gallon of any flavor and we only have half gallons of vanilla and chocolate.
Me: (Blank stare) 4 quarts IS a gallon.
Ice cream shop server: (confused look) Really?
Me: Yeah. 2 pints are a quart, 4 quarts are a gallon.
Ice cream shop server takes my money then goes to talk to another server. I don't even want to know that conversation.
EDIT: my bad for not explaining US liquid measures. A cup is 8 fluid ounces, a pint is 16 fluid ounces, a quart is 32 fluid ounces, a half gallon is 64 fluid ounces, a gallon is 128 fluid ounces.
Also this was a large dairy farm but the sign isn't like a menu. First there's a list of standard flavors, then hand written are the seasonal and special flavors, followed by a list of prices. I think that the half gallon price says 'when available' and 'brick packed' all other sizes are hand packed.
There's not a limit to how much a person can buy and I've seen people order insanely large amounts.
It wasn't busy when I ordered and I told her to take her time, emphasizing that I was not in a hurry as I realize that hand packing takes a while. At this particular place they prided themselves on really packing a lot into a container so it was totally worth buying 4 quarts. I would have ordered it that way if I had known it would be an issue for her. I wasn't looking for special treatment just a gallon of awesome ice cream for a gathering of peo

As y'all know, I promised to name my new pizza shop "Doge Pizza" if we hit 50 cents a coin by Mid May. I have decided to be the first "Doge Pizza" pizza shop and start a meme restaurant revolution!
I signed the lease and I take over the building in June... And here is where I need your help. I need your ideas for logo, menu, in-door art work, knowing what I am allowed to legally use vs not use for art work, etc...
My goal is to make this a team effort so that WE create the first "Doge Pizza" pizzeria together!!
The biggest issue I am running into right now is that the domain name is taken.. so idk what to do about that lol.
Let's start a revolution!!! Doge Pizza here we come!!
Edit: Restaurant will be in Minnesota
Only ewes can prevent florist friars.
I used to buy loads from Amazon, you could usually trust it to give you good brand suggestions, good reviews etc.
But oh boy things have changed. Now when you search for a product there you have to wade through thousands of cheap tat which is pushed to the front by fake reviews. It's impossible to shop there.
I guess selfish shellfish sell swell fish.
