A list of puns related to "Safari Jacket"
I've been in love with the Safari Jackets for a while now. They had them in SS20 as well and in the past (SS17) they had very similar Utility Jackets. Couldn't resist any longer, finally pulled the trigger today!

This a Navy Seersucker Belted Safari Jacket with 4 pockets, which was Made to Measure by the Singaporean clothing company Yeossal. It's very thin and completely unstructured so it has a nice drape and silhouette. It was originally meant to be Dugdale Seersucker, but as Yeossal had run out, they kindly sourced me the more expensive Caccioppoli Navy Seersucker. Unfortunately, when it arrived, I realised that I wasn't keen on seersucker and am unlikely to wear it. As it was specially made, I am unable to return it, so looking to sell. I paid Β£220 for it in April 21, and as I have never worn it, am offering it for Β£150.
The product is listed as a size L, but as stated on their website, they suggest this is size L by the standards of the Asian market. I have a 38/40 inch chest, and it fits me perfectly, so I have listed it as a Medium size, and is 30.5 inches long from the top of collar to the bottom of the jacket.
Pictures here - Β£150
Condition: Tried on at home, but never worn

EDIT: This has now been sold!
Regarding safari jackets, are they are a worthwhile investment? For someone who has just about everything else, is a safari jacket a valuable asset to my wardrobe? If so, what shops would carry something good, and what pants and shirts should I expect to wear this with? For reference based on weather et cetera, I live in Westchester, NY. Apologies for the morass of questions.
Edit: I summer in Chatham, or Nantucket and MV if this is of any pertinence. But I believe this garment is intended more for fall and spring?
Any help is appreciated!
I use the word βmadeβ lightly because all I did was cut the pockets off unusable jackets and sewed them on this one.
Given the stuff some of yβall post...Iβm a bit embarrassed.

So I was looking at getting a nicer jacket, as I already have most of the basics like a leather jacket, peacoat, Harrington, etc., and came across a Safari Jacket in a nice 100% wool. I like the look of it, and I live in Canada so the wool is nice for 3 season wear, but I have questions regarding it:
Thanks everyone!

So... None of you are going on safari any time soon. Half of you haven't even been on a "field" in the past year. Your pampered ass is looking for workwear as a layering device and fashion statement, not because you're actually doing the shit it's theoretically designed for.
But that's okay. This is /r/malefashionadvice. You can be honest here. We're all discussing something a little shallow, so if you want to wear hiking boots to your job as a sysadmin, we get it. We're here for you. This is home.
A field jacket can look damn good if worn well, even if you don't have a use for all the pockets. Classic olives, khakis, and other shades of green look very natural here, but there's nothing wrong with navy blue, or a shade of gray. They're very casual, but at the same time, they're relatives of the unstructured blazer, so they can definitely be smartened up. It's no wonder this category has some big fans on MFA.
Here's pictures. I am asking for $270 shipped.
I bought this off eBay, the fit is a little off so I'm looking to resell it for what I paid.
I believe it is a L Exp 005 Safari Shank, but because I am not the original owner I am not 100% sure. I can confirm that the fabric is the same workcloth that is used on the SD's and that the dimensions match the sizing info on the product page.
The condition is good overall. One defect (that the eBay seller did not disclose) is that the bottom-most button is missing. It didn't bother me because I probably would not use the bottom button even if it was there. I believe that Outlier's customer service could send a replacement button once they re-open, but I am not sure. Aside from the missing button, I can't find any other snags, stains, or anything else wrong with it.
Edit: Sold.
