I don't know if this is the right subreddit for this, but last year i recieved this coat from my best friend. I recently discovered this is a original Leidse duffel dating back approximatly to the 60's. I couldn't find much information about it online.
So I was wondering if someone could enlighten me with details of this coat?
I accidentally felted a mens wool sweater and was thinking I could use the fabric to make a little coat for my nephew who will be 6 months at Christmas. I normally self draft but have never done baby clothes and have no idea about sizing etc. Cheers
Hey guys, fashion newbie here, and I'm looking to get a new winter coat this season. I've got an old (around 10 years) Claiborne overcoat that I've been wearing my whole life, and I get a lot of positive feedback on. However, it's starting to show signs of wear, and I'm looking for something I can swap between to keep it from aging too quickly.
Right now I'm torn between a peacoat, an overcoat/topcoat, or a duffel coat. I'm looking for something that can be worn everyday, or with a suit. Ideally it would be fairly dressy, since I typically wear button-down shirts and chinos or nice jeans. It also should be at least fairly well-insulated, since the Midwest gets stupid cold in the winter.
Does anyone have any insight as to which option might be best? I'm leaning towards the duffel coat, simply because I like the style of it. Should I reconsider?
