A list of puns related to "Saccule"
This is my interpretation correct me if I am wrong. This is a repost, I'm looking for a general consensus.
Semicircular canals would, for example, tell the brain how fast my body is doing a rotation from doing front flips or backflips on a trampoline. Or how fast my body is rotating while spinning in a chair.
The otolithic organs would tell my body how hard my body is falling as a result of doing a jump on the trampoline, or how fast I'm moving from accelerating in an F1 car.
This is my understanding. One is about the intensity movement/ speed from a rotational standpoint
( Semicircular canals ) The other is about the body experiencing an acceleration in a linear fashion with no rotation (otolithic organs )
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
So, my husband and I are a childless couple in our early 40's, and we recently bought our first house. We decided to take the first steps towards getting a dog, which is something we have wanted to do for years. After researching different breeds, we decided that a Boston Terrier would be the right match for our home and our lifestyle. We want a dog that isn't too big or too small, doesn't bark a lot, and has a friendly, easygoing personality. The problem is that all this research we've been doing has showed us just how susceptible Bostons are to certain health problems. I was aware that Bostons are short-faced breeds, like pugs or French Bulldogs, so I knew they weren't as healthy as other breeds tend to be. I did not know they could also develop deafness, cherry eye, corneal ulcers, heart murmurs, etc. The list goes on, and it makes me see just how much of a risk we would be taking if we were to buy a Boston. My question is, if we made sure we bought from a responsible breeder who uses all the health testing/screening they can, would that be enough to make sure our dog was healthy and give us peace of mind? I know there are no guarantees and any dog could develop any health problem, but with Bostons it seems like a very long list in comparison with other breeds. Could I be worrying too much? Should I go with my gut and do what feels right, or should I look for a different type of dog? We are first time dog owners, so I think this all feels very overwhelming right now. We have nothing to compare it to, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks very much.
ETA: Thanks for all the advice/comments. I have read all of them, and I will keep talking to my husband about different breeds. The most important thing is that we can take our time making a decision. We might even look into getting a rescue dog, if that is doable. We've considered it before, but now we're thinking it might be the better route for us to take. Whatever we decide, I will update you all. :)
When I got home, they were still there.
