Pinna Puns

So I just got back from a vacation to Isle Delfino. While their, we decided to hit up the local amusement park, Pinna Park. There’s only one credit there and it was pretty unique. Here’s how it went.

First of all, since the park is situated on its own little island, the only way to get the is by getting shot out of a cannon across the ocean. Idk, they couldn’t offer a safer option? Like a ferry perhaps?

Anyway, we got into the park. It was pretty empty except for a few locals and a short Italian man wearing a jet pack. There’s only 5 rides including the roller coaster (I don’t know if it had a name, everyone just refers to it as ‘the roller coaster”). A looping pirate ship ride, Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and a kiddie ride.

I immediately ran straight to the roller coaster for the new cred. It was a walk-on. I kind of got roped into playing some random event they had going on, where you’re supposed to shoot rockets at the balloons. I didn’t pay too much mind to the game, but I wish I did. The penalty for losing is literal death.

Anyway, the ride experience: The Roller Coaster is a powered single rail coaster. You start up a lift hill, and then it has a downward launch. This is easily the best part of the ride, super forceful. This is followed by a large dive loop with insane hangtime. Then a second dive loop that is so tight and fast that I blacked out and made me bleed out of my ears. It probably pulled 12-15 g’s. This is followed by in what is my opinion the weakest element. It’s a turnaround that is slow and forceless. But it’s a good opportunity to shoot balloons. Then you go through a tight, unbanked helix that snaps your neck. After slowing back down into the station, you go for 2 more laps.

All the other rides are flats. I tried to ride the pirate ship next, but it seemed like there wasn’t even a way to ride it. Almost like its just decorative and not actually operational. Same with the Ferris wheel.

There’s also a merry go round and a seashell kiddie ride. There’s no cycle, you just hop on whenever you want, and hop off when you’re satisfied.

Overall, the park had a charming little atmosphere. Beautiful setting on the island. Wouldn’t recommend going for the rides though, especially if you’re a human being and your body can’t handle the cartoonish video game physics.

I’m currently at 114 sprites and all I have left are blue coins, but I’m stuck. So on the gamecube version I recall spraying the beach in Pinna Park to make the blue shines appear and get two blue coins, but in my All Stars version of the game, nothing comes up, and I’m not sure if this is a glitch or not, please help me if you can!
