A list of puns related to "Rheingold"
IMHO, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. I am trying to find the best recording of this piece on Spotify, but I am having trouble finding perfection. Some recordings have an incredibly abrupt finish which I'm not a fan of. The recordings I've found that have a less harsh decay feel like they are lacking in power.
This recording performed by the Bavarian Symphony Orchestra feels incredibly powerful but it has the harsh finish that I don't love.
While this recording has a nice decay, but it lacks the power of the BSO performance.
I'd love to know what your favorite version is that you've found on Spotify.

Just did a tour of Denizen, on a lark, and unexpectedly fell in love. We've read the threads and bad reviews, but we would love some updated opinions as there seems to be new management.
We're a married couple looking to upgrade from a very basic Greenpoint railroad. We lived in that part of Bushwick 6 years ago so we're familiar with the neighborhood. Dishwasher and washer/dryer in building (we currently don't have) were the only solid requirements but we think we would actually use most of the amenities the Denizen provides β punching bags and a bowling alley!!!
It's slightly above our budget ($3500 max for 2bd) but the gym & entertainment budget savings would help balance it out.
The reviews on Yelp seem to stem from disappointments at the height of the pandemic. We believe we're realistic about what to expect and would love to hear from anyone with current experience.
Other threads mention Rheingold and we intend to also view that space. Any others to check out?
To note: we both work from home but Iβll probably look for coworking space in the neighborhood.
Their live sets seem to completely bypass anything from this album other than Valhalla, and according to Setlist.fm even that hasn't been played since 2013. Anyone know why this is? Other albums from around that time seem to be fairly well represented.
Following my post about finding an apartment with good noise insulation/concrete walls, I'm hoping some fine folks in here who can share some experiences/advice.
I'm looking for a 1 bedroom or more in Bushwick or Williamsburg, and I've been specifically eyeing the three new buildings that just went up north of Flushing near Bushwick Ave: The Denizen, The Stanwix, and The Rheingold. Does/has anyone lived in any of these buildings, and if so, what was your experience with sound leakage? My goal is to find an $3k-ish/month 1 bedroom apartment with the following features, in priority order:
Anything outside of the 2 things above is optional for me (balcony, washer dryer, dishwasher, etc.), so if there are any recommendations outside of the three buildings above, I'm all ears.
I do not care at all about building amenities, I'd in fact prefer to not have to pay for them because I usually never use them. Same with a doorman - my preference is NO doorman but if I have to have one, that's fine. The most important thing here is sound insulation and then the windows.
Please share your experience in these buildings if you'd had it! Or, if you know of any other reliably quiet buildings, please share. I've just come off of 4 years living directly across from the Boar's Head packaging plant on Bogart street so I'm in dire need of some peace and quiet haha
Btw, I've read through all these strings too, which were helpful, but figured I'd post since I'm specifically targeting a place in Bushwick/Williamsburg:
How to identify thin walls in apartment?

... keep reading on reddit β‘I know some of its history, the truck in the love scene between Sonny and Carlo in The Godfather; I think I saw it in another movie. There may be a Miss Rheingold or two still with us, maybe more than two.
But probably not too many people here who have had it -- I love the name, I would like to think it was a very good beer.
edit: apparently someone resurrected the brand, no idea if they tried to use the same recipe. i think the beer is available in very limited areas, maybe only NY.
By now it's got too many coincidences, from the existance of a "Rhinedottir", or an Undine (An elemental being made of water), in the opera there's three daughters of the Rhine, to "Alberich", Kaeya's family name and one of the protagonists of the opera. The premise of the opera is Alberich stealing the rhine's gold to make a powerful ring that grants anyone the abilty to rule the world, in exchange of a curse that forbids the user of love. The ending sees the gods destroyed when the ring is returned to the river. I think it's starting to seem like this has a connection to the Khaenriah plot, but there's still not much information to link more of the play to it.
P.D: Talking about the theory that Albedo could be "Adam", anyone else here is thinking that it's more likely that Gold and Rhinedottir could be Adam and Eve, and Durin and Albedo are their sons?
Hello there,

The first 90 seconds are just so beautiful. Are there similar songs from Wagner or other componists out there?

In chapter 2, Stephen explains the 4 common dreamsigns categories: action, form, inner awareness, and context. After cataloging my common dreamsigns, I have determined that most of my dreams fall under context and action. How should I practice my reality checks to align with my dreamsigns? If you havenβt read this book, my question will probably not make sense. Thanks for any replies!
