A list of puns related to "Protective Clothing"
He said "Styx and the Stones may break my bones..."
Obviously, you donβt have to wear some medieval knight armor but some basic bite-proof clothings wouldβve gone a long way. The only zombie film I saw where someone took armor/clothing into consideration is Brad Pitt in World War Z when he wrapped a magazine around his arm, and it actually saved his life!
Itβs especially frustrating when important characters died from very minor bite attacks that were completely preventable. For example, >! Lee !< from the Walking Dead games would still be alive if he simply wore some gloves.
I feel like this is appropriate for this sub. I wish I was joking, but my blood panel showed severe vitamin d deficiency and my doctor literally said I might have skin cared my way into vitamin deficiency by wearing a ton of spf when in the sun and standing in the shade whenever possible. I want to both laugh and cry π
A Chinese court has sentenced three port workers to up to 57 months in prison for breaching Covid-19 containment rules, as authorities intensified efforts to stamp out the virus and companies warned about growing supply chain risks.
Three workers at a company that handles imported goods in the north-eastern port city of Dalian were sentenced to between 39 and 57 months for violating Covid containment measures in 2020, including not wearing masks and protective clothing when handling cargo.
The company was also fined Rmb800,000 ($126,000) after the breaches led to an outbreak in the city, according to court documents.

This is what I have gathered online.
There are studies correlating sunscreen usage to more sun damage than other measures. Like seeking shade and using clothing to shield oneself.
But also some odd claims that clothing is better because it is a "physical" blocker and sunscreen goes on bare skin. (Okay...) What bothered me here is that this statement uses undefined terms when it comes to sun protection. And almost completely disregards user error.
It's not that sunscreen is "worse" at protecting, it's just that most people don't manage to use it correctly, and a lot actually use it to be able to stay out longer without burning(with the intention to tan), which logically leads to even more sun damage than just staying inside at peak hours or seeking shade.
So from what I understand, upf clothing is a lot more user friendly. "Better" is a lackluster term for this.
I personally prefer to use upf clothing too as a measure because of that, (and sunscreen on exposed areas ofc). But that does not mean that sunscreen is now "worse". Hate the application, not the cream.
I have this solder: https://www.mgchemicals.com/products/soldering-supplies/solder-wire/no-clean-solder/
I was under the impression that this was run of the mill leaded solder. I am aware that as long as you don't eat/drink anything and wash your hands, leaded solder is fine to work with. However, the "No-Clean" part of this gives me a pause for concern - should I be treating this stuff different than I treat other solder? I notice on other sheets for other solder it doesn't mention protective clothing that should be washed after use and not taken out of the work area - this feels extreme, am I missing something potentially hazardous here?
I'm going to apply a strip to each hive today and the instructions say to wear coveralls or a long sleeve shirt but I'm not sure if that means to wear that under my bee suit or if I'm just supposed to wear that if I'm not wearing a bee suit. It's a ventilated suit if it matters.
Also, do I need to wash my bee suit afterwards? I'm reluctant to do so because I don't want to damage the mesh and have bees be able to sting me.
I just bought an SMAX. I am riding at 30-45 mph in suburban traffic. Do I need gloves, jacket, pants, boots? I have a Bell full face helmet. Please advise.
Hi there! Any help would be appreciated!!!
I am wondering if anyone knows where I could buy sun protective clothing that looks like the one in the following picture? I can't seem to find one that looks exact on Canadian websites π₯ (There are a ton on Chinese shopping websites, but I suspect the shipping fee would be very hefty so I am wondering if I could buy it in Canada/Ontario).
Thanks again for any help!!!
