Why YSK: This will help people be aware of the risks while shoveling snow, and therefore help prevent injury and even death during the winter season.
I came across this book back in the early 2000s but have never been able to find it again. The Galaxy Outlaws series is what I found when looking for this but I think the book I'm looking for was a bit more serious and definitely was a different universe.
From what I remember of the plot a human or few from earth found themselves on a ship which had folks of both disciplines (magic/physics) for when they were flying through areas of space where different laws applied. Where magic worked, the physics we know and love/hate on earth broke down, and vice versa. Earth just happened to be in an area of space with a pretty constant 'weather' so the 'normal' physics had been our laws for a very long time.
I think I remember it being a bit.. gritty?
Iβm currently using Cathedral Weathers (I know most weather mods will have similar settings but for the sake of this question Iβll use Cathedral as my example and use itβs terminology), when I change for instance Interior Vision so itβs darker am I actually affecting the amount of light in the room or just how it looks to me? (As opposed to something like Display Enhancements which just changes what you see)
Basically Iβm wondering whether or not those kinds of settings should affect things like Realistic AI Detection or not? I could do testing myself I guess but if anyone already knows the answer then itβd make life easier
After finish part 6 and saw how busted this stand really is, Iβm just wondering about can you even hurt him? Like is it a real humanoid stand that can be touch by other stand, or is it just a bunch of cloud that manifest into a humanoid form and cannot be harm physically, just like the fool of Iggy?
Basically the title
Looking for a college with a decent physics program and a journalism program (the journalism program doesnβt have to be as decent as physics)
Iβd like it to have a lot of rain but still be warm and in good proximity to a hood surf scene
Will take any info :)
Clown ass bitxh you about to catch these hands.
Thankfully I am not a migraine sufferer, and I know that the Chinooks in Calgary cause many to get migraines. But our constant weather changes have all kinds of other physical effects on me, so much so that I've had to call in sick at work multiple times. And I'm only 26! I started noticing a sensitivity to the weather in my late teens/early 20s and it's only getting worse.
If a Chinook is coming, I get achy all over, tired, and start exhibiting flu symptoms, sometimes with a headache. I always think I'm getting sick, but the next day I'm fine and sure enough, it's Chinooking.
If the weather is suddenly getting colder the next day, my body temperature can't self regulate and I'm freezing (even when I haven't left the house all day), I get dizzy and lightheaded, sometimes can't even get out of bed for how shaky I am. Aaaand sure enough, the next day I'm fine and the weather did indeed get a lot colder.
I used to think maybe it was all in my head, but it happens so predictably with these weather changes, it's like clockwork. I've asked some other people who live here who say our weather changes make them feel unwell, but I'm curious whether anyone in the Reddit community can relate. Is there anyone else out there who gets completely messed up when the weather shifts?
Edit: thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences, you've made me feel a little less alone in dealing with this. From what I'm hearing it sounds like it's been getting worse the past couple years and I've definitely noticed that too. Calgary is a great city in many ways but the weather can be brutal. Hang in there everyone
Am I the only one?
