A list of puns related to "Pharmaceutical Sciences"
Thanks to all who answer!
hii just finished a levels here and im applying to nus under the early admission scheme so im asking here pretty early hahah but yea i am currently torn between pharm sci and chem,, and it doesn't help that the applications are due in like 2 weeks so i have some qns i hope seniors can answer!
thank you!
I realize these are quite different fields, but I canβt decide which one might be the best fit for both my own curiosity and also my career goals.
I come from a pharmacy background (PharmD) where I had taken med chem, pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, toxicology, etc. I loved learning about medicinal chemistry and structure activity relationships and I also loved synthesis in O chem. Iβm really interested in pharmacology and elucidating mechanisms of action though too and figuring out exactly how a drug works its magic. Lastly, the premise of drug discovery is amazing to me. I love reading research about how different cancer drugs were discovered (especially ones from natural resources such as taxanes, vinca alkaloids, etc.).
For career goals, I would eventually like to enter the industry as an associate scientist and work my way up in some matter. Which direction should I go ?
hihihihi im interested in getting into pharm sci but my nlvl sci is a2 :β i didnβt know it was so competitive and u need a a1(?) i heardβ¦ will i still have a chance? raw emb3 7pts btw and biomed need a a1 for sci also right? genius now im nervy that i wonβt get in any sci course ZZZZZ please help π₯Έ
and any course yall recommend? any seniors in hotel and leisure facilities management? or optometry? just anything else cause i really canβt pick anymore im gonna freak π this is so stressful nlvls are nothing compared to this
Hello everyone! I will be entering Uni in August 2022 and have been worried about my current placement in NTU. More specifically if the degree has good job prospects. I know of lab technician and pharm sales representative as possible jobs, however I am unsure of the progression of these jobs.
If anyone has experience with NTU SBS MCP, would you enlighten me as to the various jobs and respective salary I can expect? I have seen many previous posts regarding this degree, but jobs were not explicitly stated, which would greatly help me.
Could I also know the job mobility to transfer to other industries if I have this degree? I worry that I may be pigeonholed into specific bio/chem only jobs.
Thank you for any advice!
Iβve just applied to the health science program here, but I was wondering that if I happen to be accepted into queens, are there any good programs for pharmaceutical science or pharmacology? for example, mac has BDC or the biopharm program (both of which you apply for during second year I believe) but I canβt find too much info for what I could take at queens for this route. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Has anyone done pharmaceutical engineering? Iβll be a first year student next year and I want to do chemical engineering. I was wondering what the differences between pharmaceutical engineering and just chem engineering are as well as the outcomes/benefits for both of them. Also, would it be worth doing the double degree rather than just chem eng?
OK you dying shareholders----as an old investment dog - I have to say that CYDY needs to see investment firms investing in this company of ours. WHY not? You tell me. Blackstone sees potential in another company's ADR shares.
Read Below todays announcement:
Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) said Monday it has secured up to $250 million in equity and product financing from Blackstone (BX) Life Sciences as part of a collaboration to support the development of obecabtagene autoleucel, or obe-cel, intended for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and other B-cell malignancies.
The deal consists of a $150 million product financing to support the development and potential commercialization of obe-cel, and a $100 million investment in a private placement of Autolus' American depositary shares.
The private placement is expected to close on or about Nov. 12, subject to customary closing conditions.
Autolus Therapeutics plc is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. The Company is focused on developing programmed T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. The Company has a pipeline of product candidates in development for the treatment of hematological malignancies and solid tumors. Its lead clinical programs include AUTO1 (obecabtagene autoleucel, Obe-Cel), AUTO4, and AUTO6 / AUTO6NG. Obe-cel is a CD19 CAR T cell investigational therapy designed to overcome limitations in clinical activity and safety. Obe-cel reduces toxicity and is less prone to T cell exhaustion, which could improve persistence and the ability of programmed T cells to engage in serial killing of target cancer cells. AUTO4 is a T cell therapy for the treatment of peripheral T-cell lymphoma targeting TRBC1. AUTO6 / AUTO6NG is a T cell therapy targeting GD2 in development for the treatment of neuroblastoma. Its other clinical programs include AUTO5, AUTO7, and AUTO8.
Please if there is a benevolent GOD - let there be light at the end of this dark tunnel. All I want to do is make money, money, MONEY!!!!
Hello
I just recently accepted & enrolled in a Bachelor of Science at Uni Melb (& awaiting an offer for Biomed come January 14)
However, I since changed my VTAC preferences.
Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Science (Clayton π© Parkville π)
Biomedicine at Uni Melb
Pharmaceutical Science (Parkville)
Science Uni Melb (currently enrolled)
I placed BE(Chem)/BPharmSc first given the tougher admission requirements.
I still would prefer Biomed at Uni Melb.
I did three single subjects in first year chemistry at Uni Melb. I completed an online Calculus module.
Results CHEM10007 82 H1 CHEM10003 70 H2B CHEM10004 82 H1 Calculus & Probability Online 74 H2B
Prerequisites have been satisfied; however, WAM has to be at minimum 80 for admission. Am I competitive enough?
Or should I focus on Pharmaceutical Science at Parkville?
Anyone currently undertaking or recent graduate of chemical engineering and pharmaceutical science got advice in terms of subject difficulty, specialisations (Formulation Science only), workload, availability of early exit options?
Re- Pharmaceutical Science. Would the Formulation Science specialisation be considered the most difficult, followed by Medicinal Chemistry > Drug Discovery Biology?
Then again...I could just stick with Uni Melb and pursue a Pharmacology major π
Cheers!
Hello I'm commencing Bachelor of Advanced Science with Pharmaceutical Science major on February 2022 (coming intake) and I was wondering if I can do the first semester completely online. I'm fearing since borders have opened they will completely shut down online courses. Also if there are any deets on what doing online courses feel like it would be highly appreciated. Is it absolutely boring or do they make it interesting? Any experiences shared or opinions will be great! <3
Message me if yes
Im a 1st year student studying bachelor of biomedical science most likely majoring in microbiology/immunology and pathology/lab medicine. Is it possible for me to get into pharmaceutical sales at some point with or without a master degree? Thanks
hi! i was just curious about this course, the curriculum, school hours and workload. is there anyone from this course that can share their experiencesππ also do yβall go to school or is it just HBL

Mycotopia Therapies, a biopharma company focused on research, technology, and the development of medical psychedelics, announced today it has initiated plans for a psilocybin-based pharmaceutical program by entering into an agreement to form a 50/50 joint venture with Agile Pharmaceutical Solutions to develop novel oral dosage forms of psilocybin in the form of a psychedelic sublingual tablet.
They plan to conduct oversight and development of the tablet in Jamaica and explore the possibility of partnering with Havn Life Sciences in Jamaica for raw materials and developing the tablet. In August, Mycotopia Therapies announced it had entered into a Psilocybin Supply Agreement with Havn Life Sciences to purchase naturally-derived psilocybin.
Sublingual tablets are advantageous because they are placed under the tongue to dissolve directly into the bloodstream, requiring smaller dosages that are less likely to induce liver metabolism as it bypasses the stomach and its contents on its way to the bloodstream.
In October 2018, the Food and Drug Administration granted Breakthrough Therapy designation to psilocybin for the treatment of major depressive disorder. Breakthrough designation allows for an accelerated pathway to approval.
Ben Kaplan, CEO of Mycotopia Therapies said, "This opportunity to develop a psychedelic sublingual tablet using the intellectual property of Agile Pharmaceutical Solutions is a tremendous opportunity for Mycotopia Therapies. The real opportunity, however, is derived from our two companies working together toward the common goal of revolutionizing how mental illness is treated."

Why there are so many pharmaceutical science minor are unavailable for next sem?
Is it possible to get into the biotechnology field with a pharmaceutical sciences degree? How different are the two fields?
Stated as above
Hey! So I just wanted to ask about internal transfer to pharmaceutical science and my chances of getting in based on my circumstances. I've definitely been struggling a bit mentally this year especially with the constant need to change environments, burning out and just overall lack of motivation, so this has lead me to having a WAM of around 65 from my first semester (I'm a first year). I'm currently doing science, and doing units in Chemistry and Biology and doing pretty average except for labs which I have done quite well in. Though the minimum WAM is 60 to be considered for pharmsci, I was wondering if I would have a chance in getting into pharmsci (I've already applied) or if I should just not get my hopes too high. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and gotten accepted? Thank you in advance!!
May plano po ako mag-transfer sa UPM (T1) and itong 2 course na'to ang balak ko po sanang lipatan. Question lang po if totoo na isang taon nalang need na additional para magka-PharmD na degree if Pharmacy ang course mo? Same case ba ito with PharmSci?
