Okay so I have had two experiences with this phantom cat.
1st experience was about 3-4 months ago I remember it vividly. I was laying down in bed around 2am I had just turned of my phone to get to sleep when I felt a cat like animal walking alongside my body and it finally stopped and laid next to me on my bed I took my hand to feel if my cat (who is always outside) had somehow got into the house I could only feel a imprint of where something was laying.
The second experience was a few days ago. This day my cat was on edge that day like something was off. It was about noon and my cat was in my brothers room when I heard clear footsteps of a cat walking downstairs. I was watching tv and would have noticed if anything was walking down the stairs.
In case you don't know, cats actually audibly hiss at phantoms when they come near. They also sometimes bring you a phantom membrane (3.22% chance) as a morning gift. The fact that they bring you a phantom membrane implies that they killed a phantom to get it, but we never see it in action. I think we should. This would make cats more useful, and give them a use other than just sitting in front of your house eternally to scare away creepers. I'm envisioning the cat having an attack animation similar to this. I know cats pretty much already prevent phantoms from attacking you, but I think this would just be cooler. It would also be more useful if you're looking for Phantom Membranes.
I have been looking at sightings and reports of big cats in the UK and there have been quite a few compelling sightings, mostly located far from urbanised areas (just like where Jim was staying). Large cats have been documented to sound just like the scream of a woman and it could very well mean Jim heard the unfamillar and rare call of a loose big cat lurking within the forests and woodlands of England.
For example, Mountain lions could have been released illegally into the UK and there have been sightings of these beasts and their calls.

I moved in with my girlfriend about a year and a half ago. She has two cats, both spayed, named Roxy and Velma (I've always had dogs, never cats, but I've become a "cat dad"). They are both strictly indoor cats as we live in a condo. Velma has recently (the last couple of months) started phantom spraying me several times per day. I'll be sitting on the couch, across from my girlfriend, then Velma will come over, turn her butt towards me and phantom spray, multiple times per day. We can't figure out why or how to make her stop. To complicate matters, my eyes get irritated and burn each time she does, so I'm wondering if cats release additional/excess dander when phantom spraying. Hope this all makes sense!
Itβs no surprise to say that Australia has a feral cat problem. Invasive species, in general, have put many of our own native species in great peril and cats are amongst the worst of the offenders. Housecats may be partly responsible but the biggest dangers come from feral cats which avoid humans and develop highly effective hunting techniques. Millions of birds, marsupials and reptiles are killed every year by cats.
However, domestic cats and feral cats may not be the only felines living in Australia. Some believe that big cats exist somewhere in the outback.
Phantom Cats (or Alien Big Cats) are not an exclusively Australian phenomena, as many other non-native big cats have been sighted in countries all over the world. In some cases, these proved to be real and the result of animals escaping captivity. Australia does have a few instances of these (which I will go over), but the question of if big cats are out there thriving and breeding in the wild is one that isnβt easily answered.
The Early Sightings
The more prominent sightings have been around for about 60 years but there are some from far before even as early as the 1830s. The earliest detailed case is that of the Tantanoola Tiger from the 1890s, which is one heck of a story in itself since the beast was actually caughtβ¦ but it turned out to be a wolf (and nobody knows where that came from either). If youβre interested in that you can find the story here, along with a photo of the βtigerβ which was taxidermied (poorly).
Sightings after the Tantanoola Tiger are somewhat more scarce on the details, but there are at least a handful of known reports from between 1900 and 1940, with one being investigated by a Fisheries and Game Officer. As well during 1924, a cougar escaped from a travelling circus in Victoria and lived wild for a short time before being captured and shot.
Of the reports mentioned, one was given a name β the Emmaville Panther. And although the majority of its sightings were after WWII, itβs during that time where things get interesting for phantom cat origin theories.
Western Australian Sightings
In 1972 in Kulja, Western Australia, a farmer found a number of his piglets had been killed in a brutal manner. Soon after he discovered his sheep being rounded up by two black creatures with long tails. He gave chase along wi
... keep reading on reddit β‘I think that the Minecraft cat as mobile anti-aircraft defense is hilarious. It makes me laugh every time. But does anyone else wish that after a few minutes, as long as the cat stays by your side, the phantoms should just stay out of range until the cat is gone? I think that's a reasonable suggestion for a later MC build?
I use the cats in Survival Mode to guard me as I build my buildings at night while the villagers are sleeping. But after about 5 minutes of the cat hissing up a storm and 3 to 6 phantoms screeching that jarring Jurrasic Park howl in unison while they dive-bomb and turn away over and over, it gets old and my ears are ready to quit. (Then again, that soundscape would make a heck of a ringtone!)
