A list of puns related to "Nicholas Of Japan"
Since Buddhism, as the Oriental religion that is most often fawned over by people in the West who have lost their connection to Christ, receives a fair bit of attention in modern times, I present here two short summaries of the analysis St. Nicholas of Japan did of this pagan belief system.
In understanding it properly, seeing its merits and also its inevitable shortcomings, hopefully better dialogue over one's own Orthodoxy may be achieved, answering questions from Buddhist (at least those that are sincere and not just following a fad) people may be done more effectively, and overall more gratitude may be perhaps had at the fact we have received the full Revelation of Truth.

Just re-watched Mandy (2018).
Am I going out on a limb here or is this one of Nicolas Cages best acting work in a long time. He starts subdued as the loving boyfriend, then is understandably horrified as his girlfriend is burned alive in front of him, then completely goes off the rails.
That scene of him in the bathroom as he drowns his sorrows with a hidden bottle of vodka, choking it down while in his tighty whiteys, is one of my all-time favorite Cage efforts.
Hi all, for the past couple of days everytime I open my front door to walk to the cafe to chat up the barista and order my signature Caramel and Cinnamon Frappe, I am stopped in my tracks by a life-size cardboard cutout of Nicholas Cage. Now, I am a big fan of Mr Cage's work, but I don't appreciate getting a jumpscare every morning at 8:00am. I realise that this may be hard to believe but the site of a middle aged man staring into my soul first thing in the morning is a little bit disconcerting. Every morning I fold Mr Cage up and throw him in the trash, but he always appears in the same spot the next day unscathed. I was wondering if anybody else had been experiencing this too or I am the only one experiencing this strange phenomenon. Maybe it has something to do with the suspected gas leaks that have been causing people to lose their memories and seemingly reinvent themselves? If the person who is doing this is reading this please stop because it's very fucking creepy. I promise that if you stop I will by you the bluray version of Ghost Rider. Thanks.
... He ENDED democracy in Russia and made himself dictator with more power than any Tzar ever had. It is a lie that the people demanded Lenin seize power.
> The previous Provisional Government had agreed for a Constituent Assembly to be elected in November 1917; after taking power, Lenin โ aware that the Bolsheviks were unlikely to attain a majority โ wanted to postpone this election, but other Bolsheviks disagreed, and thus the election took place as scheduled. In the election for the Constituent Assembly, the Socialist Revolutionaries were elected as the largest party, with the Bolsheviks coming second with approximately a quarter of the vote. According to Lenin biographer David Shub, this had been "the freest election in [Russia's] history" up till that time. During the vote, the Bolsheviks had achieved their best result in the cities, industrial areas, and military garrisons in the centre of Russia, while their anti-war message had proved particularly popular with soldiers and sailors. Lenin and other supporters felt that the vote had not been a fair reflection of the Russian people's democratic will, believing that the population had not had the time to acquaint themselves with the Bolsheviks' political program and noting that the candidacy lists had been drawn up before the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries had split from the Socialist-Revolutionaries.
> The newly elected Russian Constituent Assembly convened in Petrograd in January 1918. However, the Bolsheviks publicly argued that the Constituent Assembly was counter-revolutionary because it sought to remove power from the soviets, an idea that the Mensheviks and Socialist-Revolutionaries argued against. When campaigners marched in support of the Constituent Assembly in Petrograd they were fired upon by soldiers, resulting in several deaths. Intent on discrediting the Assembly, the Bolsheviks presented it with a motion that would have stripped the Assembly of much of its legal powers; the Assembly members rejected this. The Bolshevik government claimed this as evidence that the Assembly was counter-revolutionary and disbanded it by force.

Nicholas Lim is now being portrayed by a not insignificant number of Singaporean redditors as a victim.
I knew this reversal would happen. When I first heard the story of Monica Baey speaking out about her ordeal, it was heartwarming to see people come out in support of her. It is a brave thing to do, speaking out about injustice especially in the case of sexual crimes. Strangely, it is one of the few crimes where the victim is often shamed and blamed. Sometimes it does not go well for the victim and they end up being reviled and shamed. Good for her.
But I knew sooner or later, people would start talking about how she shouldn't have spoken out/mentioned his name. How she was just doing it for attention, or revenge. This happens almost invariably in sexual assault or peeping tom crimes where the victim speaks out. Its troubling, because this lashing out at the victim doesn't just have effects on the incident at hand, but also on future victims of such crimes. When I was assaulted, I feared going to the police because I had seen the judgement and blame being placed on the victim numerous times on the internet and in general. I did not even talk to my friends about it because I was ashamed. I knew the questions that would follow: 'what did you wear', 'why were you alone with a stranger'... Redditors, please be aware when you weigh in on such issues, how your words can affect others who face similar troubles in future. How your claiming the victim as 'attention seeking' and 'lying' and how she should have kept quiet would impact other victims, maybe even yourself. Anybody can end up being the victim of such crimes.
When someone says the victim 'did her best to destroy someone's life' by posting the truth of what happened, does it not sound ridiculous? Yet I've seen comments saying just that. How can the victim be blamed for destroying someone's life by posting the truth of the harm he did? If his life is destroyed by others knowing the truth of what he did to other human beings when he thought no one was watching, whose fault is it? Certainly not the victim's.
Luckily, the majority of people aren't scumbags that blame the victim. Those that do on reddit are mostly readily downvoted. However, it is strange that now that the initial outrage has passed, public opinion is swinging towards empathising with the perpetrator. Let's look at what he did:
