This combo is a little bit dependent on Fieran but it goes like this:
- Turn 8 plays evolved Leod and B&B. B&B clear a huge threat on board (Fieran should proc by now).
- Opponent clear everything except Leod.
- Turn 9 Leod effect proc + Fieran activate Car. All go face so 3+4+4 = 11 damage.
- Play Albert for 10 damage, so total 21 damage (23 is you're lucky).
Even without the perfect combo, Leod turn 8 into Albert turn 9 is still 16 damage. But I suspect most of the time Sword should have won before turn 8. It's just last ditch effort against hyper control deck.
Lately I'm getting faced with Swordcraft players the most often, in both arena and ranked. I ask this as someone who spends very little on the game and mostly sticking with Machina Shadow and Portal right now (without Tolerance atm). I'm sure that MachShadow is highly disadvantaged against Swordcraft rn, but even with portal, board control gets super crazy early into facing Sword. AoR and Sera have a hand at keeping your followers outnumbered if Nefarious Invasion isn't in your hand yet or if your Bane followers are far and few. And reason why that's troublesome is because as soon as Leod comes in 4-5 turns evolved and ambushed, it all becomes about raising your defense for ward followers or having a handy Cosmic Angel in play, which isn't a follower I tend to play anyway. Leod basically plants 3 damage to everybody and gets Storm next turn, which is mostly more dangerous with MistBayleon always ready in their hand to play the same turn he attacks. Often times Not even RolyPoly is good enough to save yourself a turn of pressure. So after fighting against Leod + MistBay in repeated defeat, I'm kinda burned out. Now I just want to figure out what Craft decks work better against this combo (outside of Portal and Last Word), or if there are any cards that work well against targeting an Ambush state Leod before he unleashes his damage.
How did he voice new Leod?
He died right after voicing Leod and another character.
Would be interesting if they used his old lines in story or something but can anyone confirm?
