A list of puns related to "Legal Risk"
Iβve seen this point made a couple times and I always find it a helpful reminder. I play by the rules when I risk a couple bucks. I hope my DD is solid and that Iβll get a little lucky w timing when I click that buy button. I never know if Iβm going to see green or red, itβs a FINANCIAL risk.
On the other hand, SHF/MM go in knowing full well how to print money. Mayo boy clearing $63,000,000 (after taxes) every single month is all you need to know. They have ZERO financial risk, that is not the game theyβre playing. Their game is LEGAL. They are breaking every fucking law, obliterating fiduciary responsibility, colluding eg Citadel/RH Jan 27 emails, shutting off the buy button, blocking DRSβ¦ and theyβre simply calculating how to mitigate their legal risk so they can keep their counterfeit/shell game/ponzi going.
UNTIL NOW.
They are now exposed legally AND financially. Theyβve been dragged into deep waters theyβre not comfortable in. Should be fun to see it all come to a head tomorrow, when MOASS launches.
Hey GG, keep up the great work, retail appreciates your advocacy on our behalf.
I was reading an article recently about how large number of people who protest outside of abortion clinics and planned Parenthood and other women's resource clinics have gone to this very clinics to receive abortions themselves. What would be the legal ramification for making a website that just posted their photos and names if they are protesting outside of these clinics and facilities just so those facilities and clinics can make the decision whether or not they want to perform the voluntary procedure on somebody who has tried to deny that procedure to others?

(PAYWALL)
From the Article:
Recent revelations and scrutiny from Congress over Facebook's(FB) role in society could lead to major lawsuits against the social-media giant, according to new research that drew comparisons with litigation faced by Big Tobacco or Purdue Pharma.
Facebook (FB) has been under pressure following a series of reports by The Wall Street Journal that made allegations covering Instagram's impact on teenagers' mental health, whether its algorithm encouraged social discord, and how it moderates elites.
A company whistleblower who leaked internal documents to the Journal also testified before Congress last week, as lawmakers turned their attention to the renewed public debate over Facebook's(FB) prominent role in peoples' lives.
Facebook (FB) co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg last week said that "many of the claims don't make any sense," pushing back against allegations that arose in the Journal's reports and the whistleblower's testimony, in a post on social media.
Blair Levin, an analyst at London-based technology industry research group New Street Research, wrote Sunday that " while we have been skeptical that past revelations would lead to government action, we think this time is different and as a result, we think Facebook(FB) may now face a similar challenge from increased litigation as tobacco, or more recently, OxyContin."
Levin served as chief of staff to the chair of the Federal Communications Commission in the 1990s.
The analyst said that while the facts and damages are different for Facebook(FB) than those faced by the tobacco industry or Purdue Pharma -- the maker of opioid medication OxyContin -- the fundamental legal framework is the same.
There is a product with problematic consequences for many people, management knowledge of such, and actions by management "that not only failed to mitigate the harm but arguably increased those problematic consequences," Levin said.
In the same way that public outcry against tobacco and opioid makers led to massive class action and state attorneys general-led lawsuits, Levin said the recent revelations against Facebook(FB) creates similar incentives to bring litigation against the company.
While Facebook(FB) has faced scrutiny before, there is far more att

Her place of employment (in a very non-essential sector) has used every loophole over the course of the pandemic to ensure that all employees have come to work in person. My spouse has previously had no problem with this, but in light of Omicron and her pregnancy, her attitude has understandably changed, especially given the fact that other employees at other locations of this establishment, are becoming ill with covid at a rapid rate, and management is being completely opaque about who is testing positive, and where. Many people aren't finding out until it's too late and they end up sick as well. It's gotten so bad that the owner of the company sits in his car, outside, and does daily checkups through the windows. He won't even enter, presumably for fear of covid.
As with anything pandemic-related, there doesn't seem to be a clear answer in terms of my spouse's rights. She CAN do her job from home and her coworkers have suggested she do so, but her boss and HR are dragging their heels in terms of responding. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what she can do, or has anyone been in a similar situation that had some sort of resolution? She doesn't want to start her maternity leave, just yet, and she wants to stay busy, but she also doesn't want to get sick at such a physically vulnerable time.
Thanks much, Ontarians.
I caught COVID at my local retail store (ends in -mart) and have been home sick for the past 5 days. I've just been told by an associate that I'm supposed to report in tomorrow (after still testing positive) to work.
My area is still getting a lot of cases, and I'm figuring this is how I also got COVID, because people at my work (associates / non-masked customers) are just spreading it to each other. I was told if I don't start reporting in soon, upper-management will start calling me asking why.
What is the legality of this? I'm still sick with COVID, and I rather not accidentally murder the old folks that I work with, with it.
The reason I haven't immediately left is because the job pays really decent for the surrounding area, and scheduling allows for some decent work-to-life balance for me, not to mention I find the job not fucking horrible to work at(like all the ones I have previously worked in the past); furthermore, still live with parents, so they will not "support a bum".
Is there a place I can pass this information to so it can get looked into if this is perhaps illegal. What are my choices in this situation?

>Recent events have highlighted the risks associated with investing in companies that are based in or that have the majority of their operations in the Peopleβs Republic of China (China-based companies). The Division of Corporation Finance believes that more prominent, specific, and tailored disclosure about these risks, and companiesβ use of the variable interest entity (VIE) structure specifically,[2] is warranted to provide investors with the information they need to make informed investment decisions and for companies to comply with their disclosure obligations under the federal securities laws. The Division previously provided its views regarding certain disclosure considerations for China-based companies,[3] and, in July 2021, Chair Gensler issued a Statement on Investor Protection Related to Recent Developments in China.[4] Among other things, the Chairβs statement noted that the Peopleβs Republic of China (PRC or China) has provided new guidance to, and placed restrictions on, China-based companies raising capital outside of China.
>
>In light of these concerns, the Division is issuing comments to China-based companies seeking more specific and prominent disclosure about the legal and operational risks associated with China-based companies. The Divisionβs comments focus on the need for clear and prominent disclosure regarding the structure of the company, including the relationship between the entity conducting the offering and the entities conducting the operating activities, risks associated with a companyβs use of the VIE structure, and the potential impact on the companyβs operations and investorsβ interests if such structure were disallowed or the contracts were determined to be unenforceable. The Divisionβs comments also focus on additional legal, regulatory, and enforcement risks that may apply to investments in China-based companies, such as the potential impact of the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act and related rules and any necessary PRC permissions a China-based company may need to operate its business or offer securities to foreign investors.[5]

right now, I'm working on a scientific essay for my bachelor's degree.
My main topic is examining the chances and risks of the introduction of Bitcoin as a legal tender in El Salvador this year, with main focus on the positive influence on the remittance market.
I am searching for scientific source material, especially about these topics:
Can some of you provide some useful sources for this?
EDIT: Of course this is no request to anybody here to do research for my essay or something like this. This is just to the members who may know a good website, book or similar from memory and feel free to share it with me.
I know where I can find some good information on this "in general" and I already have a good knowledge on these aspects, the hard part is finding books, scientific articles, papers etc. on this topic, which can be quoted in a scientific essay.
Thank you all in advance for your help!
As suggested in the title, we have been defrauded by a builder. The fraud relates to giving different notices to different victims (myself and one other) as to when the company ceased trading. There are also elements of it being far from clear which company we were trading with at the time of the contract being signed (three different company names used across the JCT and Schedule of Work), and him claiming work had been completed when it hadn't.
We instructed the builder to undertake massive extension and renovation work to a property which is now unstable and not watertight. Plant and materials have been left everywhere. I'm in the process of instructing new builders to come in and finish the work while making sure that the house is at the very least stable enough to not collapse, taking the neighboring property with it. After that it's about finishing the work. Provisional quotes are still to come in but it will cost at least an additional Β£150k to finish the job on top of the original budget for the work. I have had a quantity surveyor review the work completed to date. He will also review the quotes that come in to help me decide on the best value builder.
The police are now involved and are investigating it as fraud by false representation. They've said that they will be taking a witness statement from me this week. I'm in the process of pulling together a chronology of all my correspondence with the builder and what payments were made when.
There are two tracks to run at the moment - criminal and civil. My questions are:
After the death of one of my parents, this is the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I am dealing with the feelings of shame for having put my young family (two nursery age children) in this position.
Any advice that you can provide would be really appreciated.
Update: Thanks so much for all the comments. There is more detail that I can provide but am keen to avoid including too much identifiable information generally and especially when the Police are still
