Very pleased with this La Aroma De Cuba. For me, It has a hint of spice, with sweetness along with a taste of chocolate. Good thing I have another one in the humidor.
10-cigar sampler from Holt’s just arrived. I paid $15 for this sampler. Any thoughts on your favorite smokes from this list? I plan to let them sit in the humidor for a while before I touch them.
Plume or mold? Kept at consistent ~65 RH. None of other cigars in humidor are like this (50+ sticks). I got these two from Cabo at a reputable shop. Melanio V for comparison. I use boveda packs, supposed to be self regulating. I have two hygrometers (Xikar PuroTemp) that display different humidity levels (within 2% of each other). One reads 66% and the other 68% humidity. I'm getting both spongy and dry cigars in my humidor and don't know why. This one got ruined.

Man O’War Damnation. I bought a box of these because the price was good and the reviews were favorable. Not sure if I just got a bad box but almost every one have been $hit. Whether it’s the wrapper cracking (happened on most of them so far - humidor is at 72%), or it going out constantly.

Are wood humidors a thing of the past?
I used to have a wood humidor and was always frustrated with the constant attention it required. Tupperdors or acrylic humidors are virtually set it and forget it. Aside from tradition, are there any benefits to wood humidors that make the maintenance worth it?

First humidor finished seasoning today. Just got everything loaded in. The cheap house brand cigars that had a bit of a beetle problem are in the ziploc with their own Boveda. Any suggestions or tips for a relative newbie to the cigar world?
