A list of puns related to "Egyptian Cobra"
So I had recently gotten a pair of WC Egyptian False cobras with the intention to breed, however, my female looks very plump (in a healthy way) for a fresh import, and is currently going through a shed. So Iโm a bit sus that she may preggers. Even if sheโs not, my male is very interested, but basically Iโm just curious if thereโs anyone on here whoโs had success with them, that can give me some pointers on the Incubation process
Hello all! A while ago, a False Egyptian Cobra fell into my care. Sadly, I was beat to making care guides for this species by just a couple months, haha, but I'd like to put my info out there anyway!
Terrarium: This is a species that needs a lot of space, not because they get all that big, but instead because they're always moving around. It's a very fun species to watch! Before I got my male, I did some digging and found someone saying that if this species finds something in their way that they don't like, they'll push their nose up against it constantly. Another reason to want a big enclosure for these guys.
Bedding: This snake burrows, and I mean it. In his quarantine tank, he would pick up his substrate and throw it across the enclosure, bury rocks in the substrate, clear off all the substrate on one side.. Get a ton of it in his water bowl.. It was a constant mess. Really though, I would clean his bowl, then thirty seconds later you'd see the substrate flying. Anyway, you're going to need a deep substrate for these guys. Right now, I use dried cypress mulch, but something like aspen would probably do just fine.
Lighting and Heating: I don't use anything special for his lighting. As for his heat, I'll get straight to numbers. On the hot side, I suggest about 95ยฐ, and on the cold, I wouldn't let it drop below 85ยฐ. Because of this, I use a heat mat and heat emitter.
Humidity: This is a species that does not live in a humid environment. They thrive in arid deserts. I don't even let humidity cross my mind with this animal, once I know it's low, I just sit back, relax, and watch the temps.
Terrarium Decor: This is a very smart and curious species. I would suggest adding a lot of decor to keep the animal interested, and so it can jump into hiding if need be. I'd suggest using plants for this, or something the snake could push out of the way, as I said before, they are said to be pushers. You'd want to watch out for this behavior.
Temperament: I've only handled my male, so this might not be accurate. From what I've seen, this species isn't very feisty, just very flighty. Quite literally, as my little man attempted to jump out of my hands one day. My male hoods up the second he knows you see him. He jumps at every touch, and hisses if he gets scared enough. However, he's never bit me, and never shown an interest in biting to get away. Usually after a few minutes he'll calm down a little, and I can start working with him, but they do seem to be an

I've seen these snakes for sale a few times, and they seem pretty interesting, but I can't find any information on their husbandry. Anyone have experience keeping them?
Was fantasy shopping on a certain website the other day and came across the False Cobra. Since then I have been trying to find info on how to care for them and haveing not much luck, so I thought what the heck ask a reddit forum.
Iโm going to be acquiring an Egyptian false cobra and they seem to be found in sandy areas but ive read sand makes a bad substrate. Any ideas as to what i should use or would sand be okay and i feed the animal outside the enclosure
