A list of puns related to "Dual"
Slippery slope arguments aside, what would be the actual negatives of this?
*grumble grumble* this could all be replaced with the cheapest DSL setup possible. Seriously inefficient use of money
I was testing on the beta against the level 63 target dummy and noticed I was missing with Stormstrike. I have 60 hit rating from gear and 6% from 3 points in Dual Wield Specialization. So that would be 12% total. This should mean Iβm above the hit rating cap needed for special attacks to hit a mob that is level 63. However, in the screenshot linked, you can see my hit rating, talents, and combat log.Is the dummies level not displayed correctly or is the talent itself not contributing to special attacks? It doesnβt specify anything other than βIncreases your chance to hit while dual wielding by an additional 6%β
Screenshot showing missed special attacks. 3
I did some further testing, against the 73 dummy by reducing my hit to just below 9% from gear but with just below 15% hit rating accounting for the talent and again, saw missed special attacks.
I canβt find any old information confirming this was intended to only affect white attacks and unfortunately, my details addon doesnβt appear to be tracking miss percentage so I canβt confirm that.
Would anyone be able to confirm if itβs working as intended and just isnβt supposed to affect special attacks (yellow hits) or if this is indeed a bug.
Any other shaman playing enhancement in a raid, I would value some extra testing.
"target dummy level as requested, showing a miss on windfury weapon in the combat log with the exact same gear and talents"
I loved this book, the pacing, the story and the buildup! I also LOVED that we didn't hear the inner workings of Alex's mind. I find dual perspectives ruin the reader's ability to read into things, or find hidden moments and when Alex talks to Poppy about his side of events that we had only heard Poppy talk about, it reveals a layer for me, and I look forward to re-reading.
If the next chapter was Alex's POV of what had just happened (as so many books just seem to do him, her, him, her each chapter) the mystery would be gone - and he probs would have said something that made his character less attractive TBH - many author's idea of how men's internal monologue sounds like can be so off-putting.
Anyway - two thumbs up from me.
Aside from any slippery slope arguments, what would be the actual negatives of this?
