A list of puns related to "Customarily"
I was told this by a pro yesterday and I am trying to take it to heart:
>None of your repos have any following or interest by anyone but you. There are at most 1 fork and 3 stars. There are no issues. I see no CI integration, minimal to no READMEs or docs. Minimal to no tests. Your github reflects an inexperienced candidate that is not ready to apply for jobs
Coincidentally (praise God) the very same day someone has decided to collaborate with me on a project I am stuck on. So an issue was opened. This is my first time collaborating with someone via an issue so its new territory for me. What is the customary amount and type of the total communication passed between collaborators on a a project via an issue that is done so via posting comments to the issues post? Is it arbitrary or is there an unwritten semi-standard way of doing things between devs? Like just a few entries on one end of the spectrum and a chat history that looks like a messenger conversation on the other side. What is appropriate?
Thanks
Edit: Concerning the quote above. I should add something here. He told me this to push me to be more competitive, so that i would end up getting more interviews in the long run as I have been studying from books and online courses but will be having to compete with CS Grads and bootcampers. Need to put that because the words out of context might misrepresent his intention.
I go to a fairly multinational school and walked past an exchange student and it made me think.
I have been watching the Youtube Channel "Not Just Bikes" about city design and reading the book The Death and Life of Great American Cities by Jane Jacobs. Highly recommend both.
Now questions about our own city: how old is enough for a child to be on the streets without a parent/nanny/older sibling around? What's the legal age threshold, and what do people usually do? Does it vary by neighborhoods?
Personally, I have lived most of life in cities of other countries, where there are more bikes and pedestrians. Based on my experience, it was normal for a seven-year-old pupil to go to school/playground/friends' house alone.
She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walked behind their husbands, despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime and women seemed happy to maintain the old custom.
Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, "Why do you still abide by an old custom, that you once tried so desperately to change?"
The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, "Land mines."

One example (not affiliated). I am just wondering if wheat flour has less thickening power, or if there is another reason why corn flour and starch are so often used?
I'm thinking mainly in terms of genetic closeness, but lexical similarity (which does not necessarily always coincide exactly with genetic relation if there's a lot of borrowing) is fine too.
I don't have much experience in filing for unemployment claims, and I was only working a part time job with the same business for the past 9 years. When I filed my initial claim, I see now that I checked no for the question about being customarily laid off. I didn't know what it meant I guess. I just knew I was not working because of a lockdown. I technically still had my job for when it was time for her to need me back, and the store (a mom and pop toy store) ended up opening when non essential retail was permitted to in MA, but she could not afford to pay any other employees and still can't, and she also wants to be the only employee working there until her elderly father with whom she lives with is vaccinated. So I definitely still have my position when this is all over. So I have been filing assuming they knew from what I filled out or what they confirmed with her, and not doing a work search log because of the message saying if you keep contact with your employer that counted for it.
Fast forward to the present time, I was approved for 20 weeks of extended benefits. When I was submitting my claim I saw a new page saying stuff about how the work search log was required and something about taking other jobs, but since the thing at the top on the previous page still said if I was in contact with my employer I assumed I was still good with no log. I submitted this week's claim. But then I started second guessing stuff and went back had to really search around on the site to find the pdf for my initial and extended claim.
I found the question asking: Are you customarily laid off and do you later return to work with the same or different employer in your industry and/or your occupation? on both, and I'd answered no.
Should I be worried about being kicked off UI for not performing a work search log if I chose this? And if yes, should I be contacting them to try to change it? Or should I just apply for other jobs to fill a work search log reasonably well even if I know I still have a job?
This is an eInk Android tablet with HDMI input (mini HDMI). Almost as an aside, it's an eReader as well. Yeah, it does what it says on the tin. And that's a big deal. I carry an eReader anyways, having a secondary monitor with me for work emergencies is so cool.
Regarding monitor mode: it comes with a proprietary mini HDMI to HDMI + USB A "Y" cable so you can charge while in monitor mode with a single cable and also because it's apparently a touchscreen. Just plugging in the USB A and mini HDMI plugs charges the device, you can see this because then it's in tablet mode and there is in icon. It also works with a plain mini HDMI to HDMI cable as well. It's not clear whether a plain mini HDMI cable and a separate USB C cable charges or not because there's no icon (expected) and the LED doesn't seem to differ when in monitor or when in monitor + charge mode.
Regarding USB C: yeah, that's broken. A to C works, Moto Z 5V only charger works, PD chargers don't work. The usual. I use a C male to micro USB male + micro USB female to C male cable for these devices.
Physical size: 208.7 x 135.8 x 9.3 mm. To compare , the Aura One is 195.1 Γ 138.5 Γ 6.9 mm, the Boox Nova is 196.3Γ137Γ7.7mm -- I believe these all use the same screen. The iPad Mini 5 is 203.2 Γ 134.8 Γ 6.1. I would guess most iPad Mini sleeves will fit as the difference is very small -- except those that need to "click". I tested with this organizer, it indeed does fit, pretty satisfyingly snug.
Device at https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=596434193296 as usual I recommend Superbuy to proxy. I bought it via crowdfunding. Manual at http://www.dasung.com/sta/zh_cn/Not-eReader_test/Not-eReader.html
