A list of puns related to "Black Pudding"
Thats the post, that's all really just wanted to announce it here it's the best pudding going lads and I think its Corks best kept secret ?
What else are ye shnakes keeping to yer selves down here as I'm a dirty foreigner from the land of Laois living here.
A lot of peoples favourite black pudding, But how many people out there know it contains no pork at all , Nor any pork blood.
It's all beef , has it always been this way?
I came across a post that discussed black pudding and basically all of the comments were "I'm from the UK and there's no way I eat that"
So I was wondering, is black pudding widely eaten or just for some weird brittish cuisine neards ?
For some context I like my country equivalent of black pudding so it's not a jugement about "you guys eat blood"
Edit: Wow this post blew up, I assume you guys love black pudding
Black pudding, white pudding, blood pudding, mealy pudding, etc. I'm trying to find some I don't have to get shipped to me. A resaurant that serves it is also and option, I guess, if they'd let me order some and pick it up there. I don't mind going far. Anywhere within day trip range of Seattle or the Hood Canal bridge works. (I have people I can stay with out there if I have to go all the way to Port Angeles or whatever.)
I've been to Scotland a few times and have bought enough haggis back in England from butchers and supermarkets to be comfortable with my opinion.
Haggis has a better flavour and texture not much more to it than that. And I guess this also makes their breakfast better because as well as haggis, potato scones seem to be a pretty big staple too.
Most firearms do both bludgeoning and piercing damage.
A black pudding takes no damage from piercing or slashing weapons, which instead cause them to split. So the only damage type that can hurt a black pudding is bludgeoning.
How would a black pudding react to being shot?
I'm leaning towards having it take all of the damage and splitting anyway, but I wanted to get others' input. Thanks.
i want to know if black pudding is going to split does it still takes the damage and than splits, or how does it work?
An Elder Brain could use a guardian and the best option would be a gargantuan Black Pudding due to all its Resistances and Immunities. The Elder Brain could hid inside some glass container inside the black pudding so it can surface to fire mind blasts and psionics.
All the black puddings in the shops are only like 5% pork blood powder and it's way down on the list after water, oats, fat, onions etc.
In fact one of the most famous black puddings - Clonakilty - is made of beef.
I saw it being made traditionally on youtube and there was raw blood being splattered everywhere like a horror movie. Can we get these in Ireland?
Looking for vegan pigs blood in powdered form. Iβve searched everywhere and canβt find anything that tastes similar. I like the taste of the real thing, but I donβt want to eat pig.
I got a roll on square and black pudding from a burger van today and... basically it wasn't as cooked as I would have liked. When I cook black pudding it has a consistent texture throughout - I suppose that's 'well done'. But what I was served today was almost paste-like (except where it had obviously touched the hotplate momentarily). It did get chucked.
So did the burger van try to poison me or am I overcooking my black pudding?
Anyone know where in Ann Arbor or nearby I might be able to buy black pudding? I called Sparrow and unfortunately they can't source it. They recommended I do some research into the Eastern Market which I plan to do, but I thought that since I'm investigating this I would ask here as well. Thanks in advance!
Apparantly B&M sells long sticks of black pudding for a quid. I thought they might taste bad/cheap, but as I love black pudding, I decided to try it. My verdict? As good, if not slightly better, than burys black pudding, which is always expensive.

I'm not insane, I wasn't going to eat some of it on its own like a barbarian, and made some other food to go with it from what I had left over in the cupboard/fridge, scrambled egg, smoked gammon, sliced and cube-ished obviously, and fried bread squares. (because why not) its no full English but its something? Anyways for all black pudding lovers and fry up enthusiasts, this black pudding is delicious.
Edit; sorry I didn't mention its texture or any finer details, forgive me, I was pigging out. The initial length of the stick is a good baton size, you can club someone with it if need be, when it comes to cutting it (raw) it stays firm, it frys quickly and evenly giving a good crumbly crisp skin, unlike burys which seem to just give a hard scab-like skin. the texture after cooking? Firm enough to pick it up on a fork or with your hands (if you're feeding the dog) and it melts in your mouth, the crunch isn't too hard so no need to worry about hurting the roof of your mouth, and the taste is like burys, peppery but not too over powering, and as for the after taste which cheap black pudding gives you, it doesn't have one. I only used a fifth of the stick/baton in the photo.

So this is going to be a bit weird, but I had a dream a few months ago of creatures that resemble black pudding, but act like a zombie plague, somewhat like the Flood from Halo. It would latch onto a sentient creature and essentially dissolve its prey's bodies while replacing the cellular structures with its own mass.
What I need is a good name for the base creatures, as well as perhaps their variants. I am planning on using some of the different zombie templates for ideas for the different creatures infected, so any ideas there would help.
