A list of puns related to "Neapolitan ragΓΉ"
Hello Neapolitans, my favorite pasta dish is your delicious ragΓΉ, I've ate it many times in your city and even made it a couple of times there. However I've returned to my own country and as some of you may imagine, it's very difficult for me to find the correct meat in my own country. I also don't really know the translation of the meat in English and i wondered if you guys know.
I think these are the meats used...
muscolo di manzo (i know this is cow meat, but i dont know which part of the cow exactly)
tracchie (the ribs of a pig or swine?)
salsiccia di suino (sausage from pig or swine). I don't know if this meat has to come from a very specific part of the animal?
Thanks in advance
I am looking to compile a list of Italian-American or Italian emigrant dishes that are not generally common or found in Italy. I am well versed in Italian cuisine but less so with Italian-American or Italian-Canadian cuisine, especially their regional variations, and I have yet to find a complete source.
So far I have:
Essentially only watching episodes 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc. Of course I also want to watch the final episode, so if the next episode I should watch using the exponential order is higher than the total episode count, I simply apply the modulus of the total episode count so that the episode number falls back within the acceptable range. Here's the formula I use to map out my watch order, if anyone else wants to try it out:
E = mod(2^(x), T)
Where E is the episode I watch, x is an integer (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) And T is the total episode count. I just keeping increasing x by one until E is equal to 0 (which I consider to be the final episode label because of how modulus work)
It makes perfect sense if you think about it, because exponential growth is better than linear growth; think of it like eating a lasagna.
Edit: there seems to be some confusion over my lasagna analogy. I apologize for that and will attempt to give a better explanation here:
Lasagne (US: /lΙΛzΙΛnjΙ/, UK: /lΙΛzΓ¦njΙ/, Italian: [laΛzaΙ²Ι²e]; singular lasagna, Italian: [laΛzaΙ²Ι²a]) are a type of pasta, possibly one of the oldest types,[1] made of very wide, flat sheets. Either term can also refer to an Italian dish made of stacked layers of lasagne alternating with fillings such as ragΓΉ (ground meats and tomato sauce), vegetables, cheeses (which may include ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan), and seasonings and spices, like Italian seasoning, such as garlic, oregano and basil.[2] The dish may be topped with grated cheese, which becomes melted after baking. Typically, cooked pasta is assembled with the other ingredients and then baked in an oven. The resulting casserole is cut into single-serving square portions.
Origins and history
Lasagne originated in Italy during the Middle Ages and have traditionally been ascribed to the city of Naples. The first recorded recipe was set down in the early 14th-century Liber de Coquina (The Book of Cookery).[3] It bore only a slight resemblance to the later traditional form of lasagne, featuring a fermented dough flattened into thin sheets (lasagne), boiled, sprinkled with cheese and spices, and then eaten with a small pointed stick.[4] Recipes written in the century following the Liber de Coquina recommended boiling the pasta in chicken broth and dressing it with cheese and chicken fat. In a recipe adapted for the Lenten fast, walnuts were recommended.[4]

... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments

Nothing, he was gladiator.
Or would that be too forward thinking?
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
