A list of puns related to "Latin honors"
3L here. Thereβs a chance that if I kill it this spring Iβll graduate cum laude/magma cum laude. However, I also want to have a relatively chill final semester (big law job already lined up, from a T14). Do these honors matter? Is it worth trying super hard? Or can I relax?
Nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa haha
I'm graduating next next sem *fingers crossed* and i would only have 9 units left na i need to take. Considered ba siyang underloading, and makaka-affect ba siya sa pag-qualify as laude? Do I need to write a letter explaining it to my college?
Help a confused friend huhu. Any response would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
Hey all, does anyone know when you find out when you get your latin honors? i just calculated my GPA using a calculator and found out that I can get summa cum laude only if i take 16 credits this semester, which i plan to do (as opposed to 15 originally planned). But that's because I'm assuming the GPA from my last semester (spring 2022) will be counted towards my final GPA being considered for Latin honors. But, since GPAs aren't calculated for at least 10 days after final grades are in, is this how it works? Or are our GPAs from the semester prior to the one we graduate in used for latin honors determination? I haven't been able to get a straightforward answer from anyone in administration so wanted to ask here! TIA!
TL; DR - is our GPA of our last semester at college included before determining latin honors for our diploma? how do they calculate our final GPAs for latin honors consideration if the graduation ceremony (where they announce latin honors next to ur name) BEFORE most profs input final grades?
Currently taking 16 units. Di ako sure if matatapos ko other subjects ko. Medyo okay naman GWA ko, although I think for now di ko nakakayanin matpos subjects ko. According to the memo, the minumum load is 12 units now. Pero what happens if I enrolled in 16 units, pero only managed to get grades for 9 units and the others INC na? will I still be elligable for latin honors?
Thank you talaga. Love you all. Good luck satin
Does anyone know what the GPA cutoffs for Latin honors were for the class of 2021? I thought I saw a YDN article about it over the summer, but I can't find it now.
Henlo im from cfad and i'm a shifter and never naman naging problem sakin yung grades ko. In fact, nag rank 3 pa ko sa batch namin sa previous program ko. Its just that mas gusto ko talaga mag interior, I'm already on my second year na sa interior design.
Ask ko lang if im still qualified for latin honors kahit shifter ako and I always make sure naman na yung grades ko ay puro 1 at pasok sa 1.75 yung sem ave and gwa ko :<<<
I'm a freshie in UP Visayas and is clueless on how the latin honors works in UP. I have seen posts regarding this here in reddit but are mostly old ones. Perhaps, there have been updates or such? Does having a grade below 2 disqualifies a student for honors? Or is there a grade cut-off for latin honors? Does such rule hold true for all UP constituents? TYIA
To graduate Summa cum laude, magma cum laude etc
Ex I graduate in Spring 2022: do they take into account the spring semester grades? I ask because because finals week ends may 21, but commencement starts may 20, so will spring grades be submitted in time to account for that semester so they can determine Latin honors?
Or do they determine Latin honors for your gpa ending fall 2021 (when grades will have been in for a while)
Just wanted to ask regarding the cut off for getting Latin honors in grad. Iβm currently a senior and my QPI is 3.6959 (solved using QPI calculator). Assuming that Iβm graduating now, will Ateneo round off my QPI to 3.7 and will I graduate as magna cum laude?

Hello! Just wanted to ask lang po if eligible pa ba for latin honors yung student na nagkaroon ng INC remark but with completion grade na? Thank you!
Hello. Ask ko lang po paano nila ni-cocompute ang latin honors? Or base lang ba yun sa last sem mo sa 4th year? Example, 1.2 ang gwa mo sa 4th yr second sem, meaning summa cum laude ka na? Or base yun sa semestral average mo sa lahat ng sem from first year to fourth year ang icocompute? TIA po sa magsasagot.
Asking for a friend. Donβt want to celebrate too early should I drop below a 3.9 next semester π
i'm a microbio freshie, I'm worried lang na I won't be able to graduate with latin honors bc of my prelim grade na 2 in one of my major subjects (particularly in lab subj) , I know na it's too early pa to think about graduation and stuff pero can I graduate with latin honors with 2 sa grades ko? I know busy ang everyone since finals pero thank u sa mga sasagot!! <333
p.s. I'm really having a hard time in studying since the study habits that seem effective nung shs doesn't work anymore sa college :(((
God, itβs brutal out here.
Cum laude: 3.819β3.915
Magna cum laude: 3.916β3.966
Summa cum laude: 3.967β4.000
Iβm a graduating senior and am extremely close to the Latin honors cutoff. I believe that after my final grades are entered for this semester that I will be over the cutoff for Latin honors.
That being said, does the university track honors status for the last semester and will I be able to pick up a snazzy honors cord before commencement if I do end up with honors?
Thanks!
Considering that a student met all grade requirements and has no offense, eligible pa rin ba to have latin honors if delayed, like if nag-LOA? Can't find anything about it elsewhere. Thank you!
Are the any UE students here? I just want to ask, how will you know if you are qualified in the latin honors? Will the UE notify u thru the portal or they will email you?
Are Latin honors notified through email? Does it appear on the transcript? Is it only awarded in the spring quarter? I just graduated and got nothing with a pretty high GPA.
Does SJSU only uses overall GPA as a bases for a latin honor distinction or does it only uses your sjsu gpa?
Okay, so, I transferred from another school where I did poorly but didn't have a declared major. Now I'm at CSULB and graduating this coming semester, and I have a cumulative CSULB GPA that would get me honors, but my overall (with the transfer credits) doesn't.So... will I end up graduating with honors because of cumulative GPA, or will I not because of overall GPA?Has anyone run into this same issue?
My confusion comes from conflicting information. The Catalogue says "shall be determined from units earned at CSULB plus transferred units" (http://catalog.csulb.edu/content.php?catoid=5&navoid=370&hl=120) but other users have mentioned that the store looks at either transfer or csulb (https://www.reddit.com/r/CSULB/comments/ay9jdt/comment/ehzaz2s/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to give you the cord.
or you will need to wait until the diploma arrives. this is for the engineering school.
Kaya ko pa kaya mag latin honors kahit may swdb record nung 1st year? :( verbal reprimand lang naman yung end point huhu :( iβm running for Summa pa naman
When does COM Latin honors breakout points come out?
The most recent cutoffs on the UMass website seem rather high, and I suspect it's to do with COVID and increased pass/fail leeway. Is it normally this high (3.97 for 95th percentile)?
title. genuine question lang talaga like hOWWWWWW????? i'm not pertaining to equivalent gwa to become a laude. I'm asking like how??
yung mga laude ba dito is mga mamaw hahahahahahah like super talino na isang aral lang ng lectures, kaya na iperfect exams tapos ang lalakas pa ng mga time management skillz? or mga natural na favorite ni Lord?
I'm not aiming to be laude tho pero pANO NILA NAGAGAWA YONΒΏΒΏΒΏ ang tataas ng standard ng profs, orgs, mahihirap na exams, daming reqs, aND MANY MORE PERO ANG TATAAS NG GWA? PANO YON π
A lot of people have said that this depends to the requirements of different universities but how do they calculate it usually?
Is the whole 4 years of college grades included or just the 3rd and 4th year of it?
What if you've had an 80 on the midterm of your 1st year while the other subjects remain 90 and above, especially the major ones? Does having a grade below 85 bad in general? And would it disqualify you from getting one?
I'm quite uninformed with how these things work, so I apologize
Does anyone know the breakpoints?
Are final semester grades considered for Latin honors?
is latin honors cumulative uc gpa, or total gpa within your school?
Are the breakpoints out? If not, does anyone know the breakpoints for last year?
