A list of puns related to "Hot air balloon festival"
hot air balloon seen floating around Doha
A friend sent me this photo early this morning. Any idea if they are holding hot air balloon festival this year?
I heard something about a hot air balloon festival in Powell this weekend on Good Day Columbus this morning but I canβt find any info about it anywhere! Does anyone know anything about it??
Hello all,
Edit : called number provided by pickles in comments and she shared the following info :
1- Wadi Rum festival runs from 1-3 Oct. 6am to 11pm 2- Entry tickets are 25JD and paying for them can be done at their offices in Abdali or they send over a driver to your house FOC 3- Tickets for balloon flight (tied and up to 500m up) can be bought on site for 30JD 4- Weβre going by car, they have parking and weβre arranging our own accommodation but they do so too for 35JD-70JD per person depending on the βroomβ. There are also bus transfers available for 18JD both ways.

Iβve been trying to find a reliable source to provide details about the hot air balloon festival in Wadi Rum and to purchase tickets directly through the events organizers if possible.
Unfortunately, Facebook posts shared with me (Donβt have FB) are sounding more and more fishy with their western union payment requests and prices , and the website I found once (canβt find it anymore) lacked so much information that it also seemed like a scam.
Iβm new to living in Jordan, so not quiet sure how organized they are in hosting events and properly advertising things, but from my experience, this whole festival could easily be a made up event used to con people for money.
If any one has any info that might help, please share.
Thanks !
My friends and I are going to the hot air balloon festival tomorrow at Dorthea Dix but we werenβt sure if we could bring our four-legged friends or not. Looked online and couldnβt find anything. Does anyone know if dogs are ok to bring?
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION BELOW:
Growing up, London Ontario's Hot Air Balloon Festival (sponsored by Sundance Balloons) was an event that brought our community together. The festival, which was held for the first time in 1984 and originally called the London BalloonΒ Fiesta, used to take place in Harris Park at the forks of theΒ Thames RiverΒ duringΒ Simcoe DayΒ (first Monday in August) weekend.
Before COVID-19, thousands of people would attend this festival which alsoΒ featured an amusement park, concerts, and aΒ night glow.
Even though we may still be in lockdown this summer of 2021, seeing the special-shaped balloons, including the Canadian Flag, Maple Leaf, and Tyrone the T-Rex flying across the sky, I believe would bring our community closer together. It may not be a concert or a huge festival where we can all be together, but it gives London a reason to look forward to the future from a distance.
Times are tough right now and since we all can't be together, seeing your balloons from our own backyards will give us something to root for!
WE BELIEVE this will make a difference in the community of London whether it's to:
β¬ Giving the community something to look forward to
β¬ Keeping a positive mindset during the COVID-19 pandemic
β¬ Bringing joy to children and people of all ages
It is the little things that count.
PLEASE sign this petition if you hope to bring back these wonderful hot air balloons flying across London's sky soon!
To Sundance Ballons and The City of London, we hope you hear us!
Just saying...
