A list of puns related to "Health effects of wine"
The conventional wisdom about the beer industry in the US is that Prohibition crippled it, and is a major reason for the domination of the small number of macrobreweries, as small, local operations couldn't survive that decade, and didn't truly begin to recover until the rise of the craftbrew movement in the 80s/90s.
But what about the Wineries/Vineyards? Especially given how wine production is a much longer process than beer, it struck me that something similar might be the case, or maybe even worse. So, what happened to the US Wine Industry in the 1920s, and how did they recovered in the decades after?
I'm a medical student. My school's hospital has always treated nurses like crap - several nurses have told me it severely underpays its nurses which has led to many nurses quitting.
The Omicron spike has exacerbated these issues in our school's hospital. Now they are asking us medical students to volunteer. Some students asked if we would be paid for this. Someone else snarkily posted a link to the definition for altruism in response.
To me, it seems like we're backstabbing nurses by essentially operating as scabs. I get that Omicron is hitting us hard, but maybe I would feel more comfortable with this kind of thing if it was accompanied with a commiserate pay raise for nurses (to be honest, it may have been, I really have no idea).
What's your take on this?
Hello, Redditors! Iβm Jay Lemery, MD, emergency medicine professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. I co-lead the countryβs first Climate & Health Program at CU Anschutz where we investigate the link between climate change and health.
Iβm also one of the first climate doctors. So what does that mean? Find out!
As we struggle to adapt to killer tornadoes, wildfire smoke, scorching heat waves, rising sea levels and more, I examine how this affects our bodies and health. Is this the new normal?
Iβm here to talk about and take your questions on topics including the following and more:
At the Climate & Health Program, we not only treat patients, we also aim to be credible advocates for smart policies that address the climate crisis. We aspire to be the home of climate medicine.
Iβm also Chief of the Section of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine and teach our pre-med and med students a variety of courses about wilderness and environmental medicine.

I never had this problem when I was a younger, is this a side effect of getting old? Like I can't smoke anymore without it being so harsh and inflammatory, this never happened to me when I was younger. Like I could chief in whatever form no issues at all but now its like I am swallowing hot ash chimney smoke. Is it possible that me getting my tonsils/adenoids removed when I was older like 5-10yrs ago that made my body start reacting like this!? Smoking just has been triggering my body to make soo much mucus which lets me know the body is defending itself from the heat/smoke I am taking in because when I stop smoking the mucus goes away. I even tried a glycerin bong and though it was much better/smoother my body is still rejecting the smoking and producing so much mucus in my body like I had to hurl just a pile of mucus into the toilet along with the blueberry passion fruit sorbet I had earlier LOL
