A list of puns related to "Foundation (nonprofit)"
Both of these organizations run concession stands at Day Air Ballpark, and at myriad other such parks across the US, and are asking for volunteers on VolunteerMatch. But neither has a score on Charity Navigator, and their web sites are both really vague about what they do. Lots of "we build communities" NGO-speak. No financial reports. Out-of-date web sites. No answer to the basic questions "Where does the money go, and how much of it goes to staff salaries?"
Anyone have a source for more details for either?
There is a lot to this but I'll try to keep it short.
Over the last year, I have made several investments into early cryptocurrencies that have paid off far beyond anything I imagined, and I'm now sitting on millions of dollars of assets.
My girlfriend (and soon-to-be-wife) and I have always felt a calling to help the homeless and marginalized populations, and to fight against human trafficking in our area, so we decided to start a private nonprofit foundation, and to donate 90%+ of the cryptocurrencies to it.
The situation is quite complicated and there are many nuances we are considering, but the most sizeable asset we have is currently on a vesting schedule and won't be fully unlocked until next year. After talking to our tax attorney, it seems that it is best in our favor to transfer these assets this year as there are various tax benefits to doing so (there are some tax breaks and such in 2021).
The assets that are locked exist on a "wallet" on the blockchain, and are scheduled to fully vest in March of 2022, but we want to figure out a way to transfer ownership of the assets to the nonprofit this year.
We are trying to think of creative ways that this can be done, but frankly we are unsure what the IRS would accept since it wouldn't technically be any kind of bank transfer or transaction with a record in the real world or even on the blockchain.
One idea has been to draft up a formal document or contract that lists the assets stored accessible on a ledger nano (a device that stores cryptocurrencies), and then transfer the ownership of that ledger to the nonprofit.
Looking for any other ideas or thoughts that might help us find a path forward.
