A list of puns related to "Figment (Disney)"
I am appalled by the folks willing to pay to enter Epcot (or season pass) to get a popcorn bucket. This hysteria and fandom just reassures Disney that they can introduce genie + or any crazy new money making idea under the sun and Disney world visitors will pay it. As someone who missed the old systems and secretly longs for new ones to fail I lost all hope seeing videos of folks spending entire days in a line to buy something. My faith in Disney humanity is gone.

"Epcot" is also currently trending on Twitter due to this popcorn bucket thing: https://twitter.com/search?q=Epcot&src=trend_click&vertical=trends
Searching "popcorn bucket" also brings up a bunch of tweets about it, and some people are even parodying scalpers buying a bunch of these popcorn buckets to put on eBay for hundreds of dollars each: https://twitter.com/JulFromFL/status/1482024155876843521
Disney Kingdoms was a truly unappreciated gem of a comic book series. Each issue was based on a different Disney Theme Park attraction; past, present, and even ones that were never built. Thereβs a lot of lore and creativity put into Disney Theme Park attractions, so there is certainly very fertile ground for story telling.
So, Iβd like to share with all of you a review I did of the comic Figment. Based on the classic EPCOT attraction Journey Into Imagination. Figment takes place in London in the year 1910.Β It follows an aspiring inventor named Blarion Mercurial.Β He might not look it, but he is destined to become The Dreamfinder.Β Blarion works for The Academy Scientifica Lucidus.Β He's always been a dreamer and he wants to harness the power of imagination and creativity.Β Unfortunately, his boss, Chairman Illocrant, is only interested in creating a device that can during thought into energy.Β While working on the device, Blarion brings Figment, his childhood imaginary friend, to life.Β He also opens a portal into a realm of pure imagination.Β Before long, our heroes embark on a journey into imagination.
Iβd been meaning to read this comic for a while, but it got a major boost after I watched Defunctlandβs episode on Journey Into Imagination. By the way, if you havenβt check out Defubctland, fix that as soon as possible. One of the best channels on YouTube. Love his attention to quality, and the amount of information he always manages to find on defunct theme park attractions.
Anyway, back on topic, I loved Figment. It is a great all ages comic with a strong message in believing in yourself. The segments set in the land of Imagination were fun and whimsical, but the real world segments were entertaining as well. It also a surprisingly well done origin story for Dreamfinder. It could easily have done very wrong. Heβs one of those characters like Willy Wonka or Mrs. Frizzle where you donβt know much about them or their origins, but theyβre so awesome you just donβt care. However, giving a definitive origin to such characters can backfire badly. Thankfully, that is not at all the case here.
Also, Figment is as cute and adorable as ever. Just as he should be. Iβm not the only one who thinks this comic is great. It is the only member of the Disney Kingdoms line to get a sequel. Even then Disney CEO Bob Igor was blown away by the comicβs success. I know that Disney+ is going to be producing some shows based on Disney Theme Park attrac

First world problems lol... but when I watch these rides on YouTube it makes me think old school Epcot was so much better. Even though it may not be an exciting ride to some modern audiences, I have a feeling Horizons would be one of my favorites if it was still around today.
So weβve an upcoming trip. Weβll be there during Festival of the Arts. One question, whatβs the fascination with figment? He seems to be a rather polarising figure, either you love or hate him.
By the time they do, the entire Epcot overhaul will mostly be finished, and the pavilion is just limping.
Face it. Over 20 years, Disney has been purposefully ignoring and giving other attractions rethemes and refurbishments. We might be stuck with Eric Idle/Nigel Channing until after 2030 because this COVID crisis affected Disney on every corner. And Imagineering has no plans to do anything with it. Prioritize Frozen Ever After over fixing the outdated theming of Imagination pavilion.
This goes for the Magic Eye Theater and ImageWorks. And the upstairs is no vacant only for DVC members.
Bottom line: Disney treats this pavilion poorly far too long. It is long enough to call them out on this Imagineering and Disney executives will now be investing less through 2021. Which means the overhaul has mostly failed. That includes a cancelled Festival Center and any chance of other pavilions like Mexico and Nemo.
Eric Idle is immortal. I bet Disney will finally fix this ride in 2032 or 2040, 2050 or even beyond to 2100. Get used to burnt coffee beans for the next 10 years because Disney has nothing to fix this pavilion. Playing cheap on it far too long.
Bob Chapek has failed, Josh D'Amaro is stalling. And I want to see investors and shareholders laugh at this abomination of an attraction they refuse to update). If they want to fix it, they will force Imagineering to shove in an IP. Which destroys EPCOT all together and making it a second Magic Kingdom.
Sorry, Dreamfinder has died and he will never come back.
This is probably one of the worst and neglected attractions out of everything at Walt Disney World. Even more than Primeval Whirl or Carousel of Progress. Outdated and not up to code.
