A list of puns related to "Zooplankton"
I was curious about what plankton ate (from watching Plankton eat holographic meatloaf on Spongebob). I read that Phytoplankton eat sunlight, but Zooplankton are more complicated eat physical objects. The web page said jellyfish, and members of a few other phyla, are Zooplankton as well. I was confused because Cnidaria are animals and Zooplankton are protists correct? This seems like conflicting information, so I wanted to ask you all.
Also, if this is meant for another sub, like Askbio, let me know.
Thanks ahead of time for the replies!
This is my first year on the ice and I have come across this issue a few nights. The Vexilar works amazing during the day, but at night, I see this crazy amount of green feedback. With some googling, I assume it is zooplankton. Gain is set to 0, and no one else was on the lake, so I can rule out flasher interference.
Is there any good way to fish through this clutter on the vexilar? Possibly cranking up the gain so my lure and fish are red/orange in thr absolute sea of green?
I have a boat that funnels water through a flume/tube as it jets around, and I need be able to record microorganisms called Zooplankton as they are funneled through to be identified later. Obviously I need to be able to slow the water down a bit, and perhaps I can magnify the contents of the flume through some creative glass wall situation but what I really need is some recommendations on what kind of camera is powerful enough to record these microscopic, aquatic organisms in detail great enough to identify them.
Please help me! I am just a noob trying to learn about cameras for science
